Chapter 16
Randall
I arrived home after leaving Dion's house again; I really had to stay away from him but lately he's all I want. I feel that I could be so open with him and be myself; but recently he's been getting a bit possessive lately. I was supposed to stay the night but he and I had gotten into another argument and I left.
During our lovemaking, Dion bit me on my neck and sucked hickeys on parts of my stomach. He knows how he's not supposed to leave marks. But he left marks because he knows how crazy Marianna can get when she thinks I'm cheating on her. She's the perfect wife but with that comes some serious consequences. She comes from a well to do family that has been linked to the mafia as well as a few drug lords from Mexico. Her family is wealthy beyond comparison with all sorts of business dealings. If you want some money to disappear for a while, they could make it happen - along with a few people if need be.
She loves me with her entire heart, and I love her too, along with my young family. But we've been through marriage counseling due to my infidelities early on in our marriage. We made it over, but she hasn't really gotten over it. Which is why I was trying to be careful when dealing with Dion. He wants me to leave my marriage and family for him, which I just won't do. I understand we have a connection, but it is not to the point I'm willing to give up my entire life just to have sex with him on the regular. I'm already getting the milk for free, I don't need the cow.
I damn near scrubbed myself raw so my skin would have a red tint, should she ask or see any bruises while I got dressed. Fortunately, she wasn't in the room when I finished my shower, I was sure she wanted to have sex. I walked around the house looking for her, finding her on the patio on the phone. I exited to the patio as she finished her call.
"Is everything okay?" I asked, wrapping my arms around her from behind. She snuggled back into my chest.
"Yes, everything is fine." She turned around to face me as I held onto her waist. "Who is Jeffrey Abrams?" she asked.
My face froze instantly. I wasn't sure of how she had heard of him or who she had been talking to in order to mention him. She stared at me as I looked back at her blankly. "Who?" I managed to say as I stepped back from her.
Her eyes narrowed as she stared at me. "Are you okay?"
"Yes. Yes, I'm fine." I said, clearing my throat.
"I asked, who is Jeffrey Abrams? Do you know him?"
"Yes. Why do you ask?" I stuttered. I was trying to keep my cool and losing it at the same time.
"How do you know him?" Marianna had questions from some information she had been given as she normally doesn't speak to me about people she doesn't know.
"He used to be a friend of mine. Why do you ask?" I asked again.
"It seems like he was more than just a friend."
"How so?" I swallowed hard. Had she heard we had a relationship in the past? I was careful not to provide too much detail when it wasn't asked.
"He was your best friend, right?"
"He was, yes."
"What happened between you two?"
"Where did you hear about him?"
"Your Father informed me that your sister is getting married to him."
"Ah, yes. I should have known he was involved."
"Why do you say that?"
"I am opposed to their marriage to be honest." I blurted.
"Why?" She was invested in this conversation as she looked at me focusing on my every word.
"I feel he is not the right person for Mari." I said walking away into the house with her following close behind.
"Why? What's wrong with him?"
"Sweetheart. I really don't want to talk about this right now. I've already voiced my opinion with Father and Mari and this is something that I don't want to go over with you."
"What is wrong with you? What is the big deal?"
"Why are you so adamant to discuss this? I said I don't want to talk about this. This ends now!" I yelled and walked off to the bedroom.
At least I didn't have to worry about Marianna seeing any of the marks Dion left; she was now upset about something entirely different.

Marianna
I didn't expect the response I got when I asked Randall about Jeffrey Abrams. However, my intel informed me that I needed to ask Randall about him and pay attention to his reaction to just the mentioning of his name. I knew Randall had secrets he was holding. I had suspicions during the first year of our marriage;I felt he wasn't being forthcoming about a few things. I don't think he had been fully honest during our time with the therapist either as Randall had individual sessions with the therapist on a regular basis. Unfortunately I was not privy to what was discussed during those sessions due to patient-doctor confidentiality.
I already knew he was seeing someone, but just by his reaction alone I could see Jeffrey meant more to him than what he was letting on. It's okay, I've already planned to get what I deserve from him and in due time I will let them all know that I am the wrong bitch to be fucking around with. Randall's father believes that I am just a well-kept woman who is clueless to the countless extra-marital affairs my husband is having; Randall is just like his father - a cheater.
Honestly, I don't know how Angela deals with her husband doing what he does; it's obvious to everyone. Either she is the clueless, trophy wife that everyone expects her to be, which I highly doubt or she doesn't care and lets him do whatever he wants while she does her own thing. I've seen her and Michael together leaving the cottage on the family grounds, a few times. At first I thought well she may have decided to stay at the cottage when Mr. Worthington is away; it can get lonely being in that entire house without someone. But I've noticed on a few occasions, on my way back from doing my own shit, I've seen Michael leaving the cottage outside of business hours.
The shit this entire family goes through, it's unlike any normal family that I know of. As soon as I figured out Randall was mimicking his father's footsteps, I started planning my own takedown. I started stashing money away for my own personal use unbeknownst to him. I don't need the money, but I've invested too much in this marriage.
I told him that I wanted to open my own business, since I'm always cooking for the kids majority of the time, I figured I could use my skills and open up an online cookie shop called 'Cookie Crumbles'. It's a gourmet cookie shop that is kid based. We started our YouTube channel a while ago and we've grown to about 10k followers at the moment. The kids love it as they help me to decide the variety of cookies we offer and help other families get in on the fun by offering Cookie Crumble Boxes. Cookie Crumble boxes include everything needed to make about 3 varieties of cookies we sell online. It gives stay-at-home mothers and fathers a way to spend time with their children and make something they will enjoy.
Having the channel allows me to be flexible, especially when the kids are away from the home. I planned to gather all of the information I needed before I presented it to Randall, until then I will ignore what I needed to in order to keep up the charade. My phone rang as I went to check on the kids to make sure they were getting ready for bed; it was my sister, Jaidi(hi-dee).
"Wassup Sis, you finally caught that cheating bastard?" Jaidi said when I answered the phone.
"Well not in the act, but he came home with love bites all over him tonight." I walked down the hallway peeping in the kids' rooms; my son was brushing his teeth while my daughter was in the closet picking out her outfit for tomorrow.
"Are you serious?! Ain't no way Marianna I would let him get away with that!" Jaidi snapped.
"Trust me, I wanted to make a scene but there is something that I need to figure out first."
"Like what?"
"Do you know who Jeffrey Abrams is?" I asked.
"I've heard of the name, but not really familiar. Why?"
"Randall seems to know him."
"So?" Jaidi didn't care whatsoever.
"The guy is about to marry Randall's sister."
"Again, so?"
"Randall is against it."
"Really? Why?"
"I don't know. Randall freaked out when I mentioned his name."
"Freaked out? Like how?"
"Like he got mad and wanted me to drop the entire subject. He even stormed off."
"Interesting. Let me do some digging and get back with you."
"I figured you would say that." I smiled. Jaidi was a bloodhound in a past life, if there was anything shady going on, she would find it.
"You know I got you, Sis." She's my only sister in a family full of brothers. "I'll call you when I get something."
"Cool. I'll let you go, I have to get the kids into bed."
"Ok, Love you."
"Love you back."

Vicki
I was at home when I got a call from Natalie. I didn't expect her to come back with information that fast, but Natalie was my go-to person when it came to family matters.
"Hey Natalie," I sang as I plopped down on the couch next to Jacobi. "Tell me you got something."
"Girl, I tell you this fucking family of ours is a fucking trip."
"That means you did." I answered.
"Girl, yes I did. I just asked one person in particular and the floodgates of information flowed freely." Natalie responded.
"Really? So whatcha got?"
"So," she hesitated. "There was a child born out of wedlock from your father."
"I knew it! I knew I didn't hear wrong."
"Well it gets better. Not only did your Father have a son, he is your older brother."
"What the fuck?!" I sat up and Jacobi looked up from his phone and frowned.
"What?" He was curious about my reaction.
"Yes, he was born before Randall."
"Oh shit! The same year or no?"
"Same year, but a few months before." I was absolutely floored.
"Where is he? Is he still alive? What happened to him?"
"Girl, let's meet up tomorrow." I heard a male voice speaking in the background softly to Natalie.
"Wait!"
"I gotta go. I'll call you in the morning." Natalie disconnected the phone leaving me hanging in desperation.
