Chapter 12

Mari

I uploaded the next few chapters of my online story which described Father exactly, however in the storyline he is a Doctor instead of a Lawyer. This story follows closely to the previous one that I told before, however I've changed up just a few things here and there. But anyone who knows us and knows the previous story, will know this is about my family.

"Mari, your Father is going to shit bricks!" Janelle said as she entered the room.

"Yeah, he will definitely hear about this one." I was typing away at my laptop, putting the finishing details on yet another chapter.

"You named someone. Does this person know about this story?" Janelle's eyes were huge; she wasn't sure how to handle the attention.

"I don't know. I heard the name recently therefore I used it. If she is someone who is dealing with anyone in this family, then she will find out the consequences." I ruthlessly quipped.

"Mighty is the pen." Janelle shook her head and looked at me. "Have you seen the ratings lately?"

"Nah, I haven't had time to check on it. I've either been writing or dealing with this wedding shit."

"So you're really gonna go through with it?"

"What choice do I have? I'm not ready to move out and be disowned by my family. I care very much for Mother. She's basically the only reason I want to stay in the house."

"And she would never leave your Father."

"Exactly. I got a twist coming up. I have to proofread these two chapters and then I'll upload them shortly. The readers will go crazy." I smiled looking at the words on the screen.

"What's the twist?" She asked, getting closer to the desk.

"When the cat's away, the mouse will play." I sang as I glided my fingers across the keyboard. I was proud of this story, even though it was about my family - it made a juicy story.

"Girl, you are somethin' else." Janelle chuckled and headed for the door. "Well, if you didn't know, your story is ranking #2 in the top 100." She said as she walked out the door.

Number 2? Wow, I didn't expect to get a readership of that many so fast. But I kinda had a feeling, like I said before my life makes for one juicy story.

Randall

Staying over with Dion was exhilarating but I was regretting it as I walked in the office. I was tired yet happy. Dion always has a way about him that makes me want him more. I would stay in the bed with him all day if I could; I smiled at the thought of having such a weekend. That might come to fruition.

While I was deep in thought at my desk, my assistant entered the office with a package from my father.

"What is this?" I called Father looking at the package on my desk.

"It's a case I would like for you to take a look at and see if you could handle it with your workload." He spewed his confidence in me.

"Who is this for?" I opened the package and flipped through the pages.

"A friend of mine." He said nothing else. And knowing Father, he wasn't about to. He has his secrets as do I and for that I shall give him respect.

"I'll take a look at it and see if I can move some cases around."

"Thank you Randall, I knew I could count on you."

"You're welcome, Father."

"How's it going with Marianna?" he asked, throwing me off a bit.

"Things are going well. Why do you ask?" I figured there had to be a reason behind asking.

"You know your little sister is getting married, yes?" He proudly touted over the phone. I could see him now, walking around in his office with his jacket on the back of his chair. His hand in his pocket strutting across the floor because everything is going according to his plans.

"I wasn't aware she agreed. Who did you find to marry her?"

"Jeffrey Abrams." I swallowed hard when I heard his name.

He was marrying my sister?

"Who, Father?" I was sure I didn't hear him correctly.

"Jeffrey Abrams. You and him used to hang out when you were younger, correct?"

"Yes," I instantly went back to a moment in the past; it brought a smile to my face. "Yes, we were good friends." I managed to say.

"What happened between you two? You two were thick as thieves."

We were. Until Jeffrey told me he wanted to be with me. I hadn't accepted that I liked men, and I knew Father wouldn't have allowed our relationship, so I distanced myself. "We grew apart, these things happen."

"Well that's too bad. Well maybe you two will get together again now that he's going to be your brother-in-law."

I highly doubt it. I didn't accept him liking me very well. Then for him to see me booed up with Dion in a gay nightclub in town, wasn't exactly something he was thrilled about. He stared at me so long, Dion wanted to confront him. He's never told anyone about me, which I appreciated, but the fact he is willing to go along with this marriage shit, is a new one for me to accept.

"It is what it is." I took this as an opportunity to change the subject. "I'll take a look at the case file and get back with you. Is there a rush on this or does she care?" I assumed Father would catch my curiosity.

"Hmpf," He chuckled in a low tone. "There is no rush."

"Will do Father."

"Talk to you later, Randall." He said before hanging up. I had a feeling Father wouldn't respond to me but I already knew it was for one of his many women that he keeps on the side. I shook my head; like Father, like son.

I had gone to Dion's condo directly after work as I wanted one more go with him before I returned to Marianna. His moans ring in my ears; I love hearing him and making him moan, he just rides me so well and looks amazing doing it.

I was laying in the bed with the sheets barely covering my lower half. Dion had worn me out, yet again, he had that pull over me. He returned from the kitchen with a couple bottles of water as I'm sure I was dehydrated after dealing with him.

"What's the matter?" Dion plopped down on the bed next to me and opened his bottle of water.

"Nothing," I said, being lost in thought. I couldn't get over the idea that Jeffrey would become my brother in law.

"Liar," Dion said, bumping me with his arm. "You are stuck inside your head. What's on your mind?"

"I don't want to talk about it."

"Aw baby, c'mon please. You can tell me." Dion rolled to the other side of the bed and grabbed his stash can off of the side table. He sat back against the headboard and pulled out a pre-rolled joint.

"Here you go with that shit again." He loves to smoke weed, I, on the other hand, could do without.

"Why do you always trip when I smoke?"

"I don't care for the smell of it. It reminds me of someone." It reminded me of Jeffrey. He smokes, I used to smoke with him.

"Who?" Dion sat up blowing out the smoke.

"The same person who is going to become my brother-in-law." I didn't understand why I had an issue with him. It wasn't like he doesn't know about me, yet I'm sure he wants to call me a hypocrite because I told him I didn't like guys, which was the reason we couldn't be together.

"What? Who?" He asked again.

"Never mind." I said getting out of the bed and grabbing my clothes. I didn't want to discuss it with him any longer.

"This must be someone who has either gotten under your skin or someone who you are trying to avoid. So which one is it?" He asked, he was closer to understanding me than ever before. Dion has always paid attention to me, just like Marianna but in a different way.

I just looked at him and proceeded to get dressed. "I'm about to go home. I'll talk to you later."

"Does your wife know?" I froze. Why would he ask about her?

"No, why?" I said trying to keep it together.

"Just trying to figure out where I can get the info."

"Don't even think about it." I said turning towards him, buttoning my shirt. "Why can't you leave shit alone? Why must you know every damn thing?"

"Why you gotta be a bitch about it? I just asked a damn question. You're the one who is all huffy and shit because your sister is getting married to some dude...," Dion voice trailed off as I could tell the gears were turning in his head. "Wait! Is this some guy that YOU wanted to marry?"

"No!" I squinted my eyes together so tight, I saw stars. Dion slowly got off the bed, quickly walked over and stood in front of me.

"Who is it?" He asked, his lips pursed up to the side of his mouth with his hands on his hips.

"I'm not doing this with you. Why would you go and ruin a good day for me?' I said slipping on my shoes. "I'm out!" I grabbed my jacket and walked out the room.

"Look, I'm sorry," Dion raced behind my quick paced steps as I walked to the front door. "I'm a little jealous. I'm sorry. I know I was your first sexual experience, but you never forget your first before you realize they were your first."

I stood there at the door, looking down as Dion talked. I must admit, he was right. Jeffrey was my first before I even knew.

"What are you talking about?"

"I'm sure there was someone before me that you may have liked. I get it. Or is that not the case?" Dion asked curiously.

I didn't know how to answer that question. Jeffrey liked me and I liked him, but he was always so open and honest with himself. I couldn't be that way as much as I wanted to be. I always had to keep it a secret. It wasn't until meeting Dion, that I actually acted on my true feelings. Even though I may be in the closet, at least the door is open.

I turned and looked at Dion standing, waiting for me to respond. I walked back and kissed him hard and quick. I closed my eyes and envisioned Jeffrey looking back at me. I pulled myself away and walked out the door as fast as I could. My thoughts were all over the place and I needed to get them under control.

I didn't want to go home just yet, I didn't want to deal with Marianna and the kids. The kids would be all over me as soon as I got in the house asking a shit load of questions that I did not have the answers to and Marianna would want sex as soon as I got in the house because she's been without for a day or so. I didn't want to deal with any of them so I decided to go for a drink.

I decided to stop in an old spot on my way home. It was a nice, quiet and out of the way spot that had cozy booths covered with the old school, striped fabric, black and white contrast floor tiles and a jukebox next to the cigarette machine. I cozied up to the bar and ordered a drink with the intent on enjoying my drink before I head home.

Suddenly, my phone rang; it was an unknown number. Usually I don't answer those types of calls but for some reason, I decided to answer it.

"Surprise, surprise Mr. Worthington." The familiar voice said through the earpiece.

"I figured I would hear from you eventually."

"So you've heard the news?"

"Yes, I have. Congratulations." I said as I took a sip of my drink.

"Thank you. Would you care to join me?" He said. I smiled.

"Where are you?" I asked as I took another swig of my drink.

"Look behind you." I turned around and there he was - A familiar face
