A/n: Y/n has been in the village for a few years, but after seeing countless deaths around the village he was beginning to go crazy whenever a death and/or tragedies happens at anytime. Little did he know that Nutty the sugar crazed squirrel and Flaky the shy and timid porcupine knew about this as well of what is happening and they fell deeply for the poor dear Y/n. They both have decided to help their friend out in the most mysterious way that Y/n will never experience all of this again.

One cool summer afternoon at the Happy Tree Village, there was a local F/c squirrel named Y/n L/n that have lived in Happy Tree Village for a few years and is not having the best time of his life since he moved into the village. Every time he tries to get along with the rest of the residents of the village, they all ended up in bloody and gruesome deaths from Sniffles getting killed from the miscalculations of his experiments by a family of ants he was trying to eat to Lumpy's own brand of stupidity to Splendid or Splendont trying to prove who's the best superhero to Fliqpy killing everyone like he's in an all-out war zone. Everywhere he goes he remembers all the deaths he had seen from his own eyes and it's slowly causing him and his own mind into madness.

He eventually became a recluse after witnessing the death of Lammy, Cuddles and Toothy when they are having fun at the park until they all died when Lumpy was doing some "modifications" to the park equipment like the seesaw, the monkey bars and the swing set. Every night when he comes home from going to the doctor's office or the grocery store, he installed a bunch of locks and a whole security systems in his entire house just in case Fliqpy decided to break into his house to murder him in his sleep and he also stock up some guns and other types of weapons to protect himself. He is beginning to think that he can never trust anyone again because he thought they are all out to get him.

However, what he didn't noticed that two residents of Happy Tree Village have deep feelings and concerns for Y/n and will do anything to help him out no matter what it takes to save his life. Their names are Flaky and Nutty and they have been secretly watching Y/n slowly becoming insane after he watched countless deaths of his own friends.

They may have their own quirks in their lives like Flaky's timid and shy nature whenever she tries to interact with the daily activities with her friends, which ends up getting scared of whatever she comes into contact with or Nutty's unsatisfied craving for sugary sweets and his cute and hyperactive personality, which also ended him up with nearly dying of Diabetes or having too much of the sweet treats he enjoys eating with. But, they both feel bad for their friend, Y/n isolating himself from them and the rest of the world after seeing the tragedies of everyone including themselves before Snowers and his own kind up in the heavens using their holy powers of resurrection to bring them back from the dead since the world of Happy Tree Friends is involved with Realistic Physics instead of Cartoon Physics.

The two begin to brainstorm a brilliant plan to help Y/n with his trauma and take good care of him like their own child. They both read the blueprints to the security system of Y/n's house ever since he had it installed for his own protection while they ask Sniffles to invent a security system jammer that will disable the security systems of Y/n's house before going inside without getting massacred like always.

Flaky: I may be shy and all, but I just can't stand seeing Y/n hiding himself away from society after what he saw what happened to everyone.

Nutty: Me too. I really wanted to get to know him more and even share my sweets with him, but the last time I saw him, he was becoming nothing but skin and bones and he comes to the store for coffee and a bag of unsalted peanuts. I don't want to see him starving himself to death like this. We need to do something about this.

Flaky: Agreed. With the blueprints to the security system in Y/n's house and the jammer that 33 created for us to get us inside the house without getting killed. It will be like being around Flippy's war-crazed alter ego.

Nutty: And I brought a big bag of treats I saved for Y/n along with a few other food products to get his strength back up.

Flaky: Alright then. Everything is all set up and when Y/n goes to sleep tonight will begin Operation: Take Y/n into Our Beloved Care tonight at 8:45 PM.

Nutty: Sounds like plan.

Timeskip to 8:45 PM

Location: Y/n's House

As the moon rises n the night sky, Y/n has already gotten himself ready for bed, but not before turning on the security system after that and he dragged himself under the covers his own bed. He then brought out his daily planner to see if he has "any" plans with his own friends tomorrow when he gets up in the morning.

Y/n: Let's see what I have for tomorrow in my daily planner...

11:00 AM – Wake up from sleeping in.

12:00 PM – Eat a Mid-Morning/Afternoon Meal.

1:00 PM - 4:00 PM – Wallow in Self-Pity.

5:00 PM - 5:30 PM – Jazzercise

6:00 PM – Run a Quick Trip to the store for more coffee and unsalted peanuts

6:30 PM – 8:45 PM – Isolate myself from society to avoid eye contact from everyone's demise

Y/n: I'm booked. Of course for being in such a disturbing trauma-induced nightmare ever since I moved here, I can still have time to lay in bed, stare at the ceiling and slip more slowly into madness. But, what else would their be instead of seeing all of friends keep getting killed in the most gruesome way possible. Will this nightmare ever end in such a way?

Then suddenly the lights went out as well as the security system, which indicates Y/n that someone has managed to disable the security system and he spent over $9,000 to install it in his entire house. Before he was about to go down stairs from his room, he quickly opened a secret compartment that has a bunch of weapons to protect himself with, which also cost him over $12,000 that would've got him into college. He grabbed the pump-action shotgun and went down the stairs slowly, but carefully not to trip over, fall over and die or ended up in life-support.

Once he reached the bottom, he began searching around the house for any intruders while listening for their footsteps that may be nearby. He hold the shotgun close to him and made sure to keep him at all times before aiming it at the intruder and shooting its brains out. Unfortunately, he felt the gun swiped from his hands and someone grabbed him from behind and placed a cloth to his face. He can already smell the chloroform from the cloth to his face into his nasal passages and he immediately passed out from the effects of the chloroform, but before seeing the shadows of another squirrel and a porcupine looking over him with wicked smiles and a laugh coming from the squirrel.

Timeskip - 2 Years Later

After 2 Years since Flaky and Nutty successfully captured Y/n from his house in order to save his own sanity thanks to their friends including Sniffles for inventing the jammer and Lifty and Shifty for supply the chloroform to knock him out, they took Y/n to Flaky's own home and put him in the basement that is set up as a fully-padded cell for Y/n so that he doesn't try to hurt himself.

Nutty was in charge of watching him from the security cameras that are carefully installed in the padded basement cell to watch Y/n's every move since he is the only one in the entire village that can stay up long enough from his sugar rush and he laughed so hard when Y/n is acting so crazy when he is playing around with his own child-proofed toys and the way he screamed for help in front of the camera. Flaky became the nurse for Y/n's own care and she treated him like her own child in a motherly fashion. She even got Giggles and Petunia to go along with it as well as most of the residents of Happy Tree Village.

Sniffles became Y/n's own doctor since he did help Nutty one time when he ate too much sugar that nearly killed him by locking him the same padded cell like Y/n and Nutty became a brand new Squirrel until Lifty and Shifty gave him video games and went back to sugar after he gave up on video games. Sniffles began to study on Y/n's blood and his X-Rays to figure out how to cure him of his trauma and even created a formula to help him calm down whenever he begins to go crazy, which actually worked by the way.

Giggles and Petunia as the two assistant nurse for Flaky is in charge of helping Y/n with his needs while one of them goes to their part-time jobs to keep their homes along with supporting for Y/n's health. They actually find it cute and adorable when they gave Y/n a sip of Sniffle's formula like they were feeding it to their own child.

Then when Flippy decided to visit Y/n with a box of his favorite candy and a bouquet of flowers, Flaky gave a small glare and only give him 10 minutes unless his other side, Fliqpy doesn't come by for a visit as well. Flippy understands his girlfriend's rules about the situations and gives Flaky a kiss on the cheek as a "yes", which made Flaky blush and smiled happily. Flippy knew about Y/n's trauma too and he felt bad when he took it too far when Fliqpy took control and nearly killed everyone, leaving Y/n isolating himself from the rest of the world. He's been getting nightmares about seeing everyone of his teammates in a battlefield look exactly like Y/n that are all killed in various ways when fighting in the army and was shocked to see one of them nearby him with a gas mask and was terrified to see Y/n's own skull melted into the mask when Flippy attempted to pull the mask off. Both Flippy and Fliqpy were glad that Y/n is okay and didn't die whenever they attacked everyone they see as their own enemies. So they decided to join in with the gang to protect Y/n at all cost since they both see him as a brother to him.

With Y/n under the tender loving care of the residents of Happy Tree Village, they will do whatever they can to help him out and Flaky and Nutty will make sure of that because they cared for him very deeply and if anyone tries to hurt him or their friends again, they are more than willingly to take them out to protect everyone and Y/n from ever dying again.

That's what happens when one Happy Tree Friends character manages to survive the most of the attacks and deaths in the series and he was eventually Slipping Slowly Into Madness if not for Flaky and Nutty teaming up to save him. But now that he is in intensive care from the dangers of the outside world until someone manages to keep that from happening again, Flaky, Nutty and the rest of the gang are more than happy to keep him happy as them, no matter what the cost.
