A/n: Skaggles the Squirrel is not having the best life after he burnt down his own house, stuck in a dead-end job and he is still living in his own car after his own house was burned down into the ground, but when he finds a small baby squirrel nearby and he was going to leave the baby behind, but his own heart just could let the little baby die alone. So he took the poor baby to his truck and he tries his best to take care of the little one. Luckily for him, comes across a female vampire Yo-Kai cat named Dracunyana that is more than willing to help the poor Squirrel out and the poor dear little baby squirrel whatever it takes.

Somewhere at a nearby highway that about 15 miles away from Happy Tree Village comes around a black car that is owned by a homeless tan colored Squirrel by the name of Skaggles the Squirrel, who is having the worst time of his life. He had his own house burned down to the ground by his own psychotic cat that loves to play with fire or probably his own angry drunk side of himself that used a freaking flamethrower that literally burned down his own house. Now he's living in his own car with his sentient laptop computer, Chip while being stuck at a dead-end job to keep himself from being ended up on the streets.

Despite of the situation he is in now, you can't help but feel sorry for him. He always get humiliated every Halloween Night when goes trick-or-treating in a Mudkip costume that he worked so hard on, he's being having nightmares about an evil side of himself that tries to kill him in his sleep and who can forget the time when he had to walk all the way to the gas station to get more gas for his car with only three dollars in his wallet even after he discovered that all the food he had in the cooler in his car that is enough to keep him from getting hungry for 5 months until a family of rats ate all the food and after Splendid attack him for no reason mistakenly for the guy that tried to rob the gas station that Skaggles was trying to get gas at the same gas station he was in, leaving him with nothing but lots of scraps and bruises and a broken arm.

Then it was time for Skaggles to wake up with a hangover after he drank a whole bottle of vodka last night that he managed to scrounge money from his dead end job by his stuck-up boss that change his schedule from 5 days a week to 7 days of week. Can he at least catch a break for once? I mean really? What did he ever do to you guys at all? Seriously, let him have a chance for a better life for once! God!!

Anyways, back to the main part of the story...

Skaggles: *Groans* God, I hate my life!

Chip: I hate your life too, man.

Skaggles: Shut up chip!! It's not my fault that we got stuck out here in the middle of nowhere after my house was burned down.

Chip: Then maybe you should've let your own cat play with the blow torch then.

Skaggles: *Scoffs* Whatever.

Dracunyan (looks at reader): See what I mean?

Then suddenly, the two of them heard the sound crying that is close by, which seems to make Skaggles' headache hurt even worse by the sound of the crying.

Skaggles: Augh! What's making that awful loud noise?!

Chip: I believe there's someone out there crying that is very close to where we are. I suggest that you go check it out before you get even more cranky.

Skaggles: Ugh! Fine!

Then Skaggles went out of his car while he shield his own eyes from the bright sun and he walked over to where the sound was and he was shocked to see a male F/c baby squirrel crying himself in a cardboard box wrapped around in a small white blanket with a small not that is written in black marker that said, "Please take care of me".

Skaggles: What the? A baby? What a baby doing here in the middle of nowhere?

Skaggles was completely confused about why would a small infant F/c squirrel be doing here in the middle of the highway right next to Skaggles own car that he is now living in? Maybe someone is having the same problem as he is and had no choice, but to leave the child by his car since the person couldn't afford to take care of the child.

Skaggles: I don't know how you got there, but your crying is giving me a splitting headache so can you please stop crying!!

Then the baby stopped crying for a moment to see Skaggles looking down at him with a glare in his eyes, but continues to cry since he couldn't understand what Skaggles is saying, which made Skaggles' own headache even worse and he let out a scream of anger. Somehow the baby squirrel stopped crying and for some reason he started giggling from Skaggles burst of anger, which made Skaggles very surprised to see the baby giggling at his anger.

Skaggles: Ha ha very funny. You happy now?

The Baby: *Babbling*

Skaggles: Good. Now leave me alone.

But, just before Skaggles was about to leave, the baby squirrel said something to him that will change him for the better.

The Baby: Dada!

That actually made Skaggles stop for a moment when he heard the child say, "Dada" and turned to him with a surprised look on his face.

Skaggles: What did you say?

The Baby: Dada! Dada! *Giggles*

Skaggles was completely shocked to see the baby view him as his own dad, which made him regret of what he was saying to the baby and he feared that something bad might to him if he just left the baby all by himself. So he went over to the child and picked him up carefully and went back to his car before something else happens here at any moment.

Skaggles: Don't worry, little one. I'll do my best to take good care of you because you just made my day.

The Baby: *Babbling cutely*

As he got into the car, Chip was surprised to see him carrying a small child in his arms.

Chip: Are you holding a baby?

Skaggles: Yeah. So what? I'm keeping him and his name is Y/n.

Chip: You really sure you can take care of a child under a dead-end job and living in a car in the middle of nowhere?

Skaggles: I can take care of him, Chip! He thinks that I'm his dad and he's the only one that will make me happy in any situation I'm in. If I had to keep working the same job to keep us alive, then I will do my best to keep a roof over our heads and food under the table. I don't care what happens to me, because I'm doing this for him, my very own child.

Somehow, Chip was very impressed on how determined he was saying that he will do his best to take care of Y/n no matter what kind of situation he gets himself into.

Then suddenly, they heard another sound coming from outside and this time it's very nearby, which made Skaggles shake in fear while holding Y/n in a gentle yet careful grip, thinking that it may be another bear that is going to attack him again like the last time he was in a bear attack and it wasn't very pretty.

Skaggles then opened the door and peeked in to see a young beautiful dark blue furred cat with the coolest blue eyes, two tails with light blue flames at the end, a chunk of her left ear missing, wearing a grey belly warmer and a fancy looking black and red cape and she seems to be putting some gas into his own car. For some reason, Skaggles was smitten by this mysterious cat lady that is adding gas to his own car.

Skaggles: Uhh, hi?

The cat looked at him with a bright smile on her face and she seems to have a pair of sharp fangs that's strong enough to break any piece of metal than just another person's neck.

Dracanyana: Oh Hi there. I saw your car there and I thought I be willing to help you out by adding some gas to your car since I always carry an extra canister of gas for just an emergency like this.

Skaggles: Uhh, thanks. What's your name? My name's Skaggles and I'm just living in my own car after my own house was burned down and I had to work at a dead-end job with a stuck-up boss that always gives me a hard time.

Dracunyana: Oh my god! I'm sorry to hear that. You shouldn't be here in the middle of nowhere like this. You really need some help and I am the one to help you, I'm Dracunyana by the way.

Then she noticed the baby squirrel in his arms and her eyes widened with awe to see such a cute little squirrel in his arms.

Dracunyana: Aww. Your baby is so cute!! What's his name?

Skaggles: His name is Y/n and he's not really my kid. I just found him right there from that cardboard box and I didn't want to leave him here all by himself so I took him in here with me to take care of him despite of the situation that I am in right now.

Dracunyana: Aww that's so sweet of you. Well I know an apartment complex in Creation City that has a really cheap low income and I can help you find a perfect job to get back on your feet. I can call a tow truck to help get your car to the complex while you and your baby can ride with me until we make it to Creation City.

Skaggles: Really? You do that for me and Y/n?

Dracunyana: Of course, everyone deserves a second chance.

Skaggles: Ok. Just let me grab my stuff from my car while you call a tow truck.

Dracunyana: Will do?

Skaggles: You heard that, little buddy? We're gonna be okay. *Sniff* We're gonna be okay.

Y/n: *Giggles*

Skaggles *Thinking*: God Damn that's so cute.

And so, Dracunyana called a tow truck with her smartphone while Skaggles started grabbing all of his stuff in his car as well as his computer, Chip and once the tow truck arrived, Skaggles own car is securely placed in the tow truck and the two got into Dracunyana's own car, which is a cherry-colored Chevy Corvete.

Then after they finally made it to Creation City and parked at the Lonely Hills Apartment Complex. Skaggles was happy to finally sleep on a bed in his very own low income apartment and Dracunyana is happy enough to help take care of Y/n as his surrogate mother, which he was happy to have a mother as well. Then she managed to get Skaggles a job at her twin brother's own company, Pryton Industries and he willing to help him get back on his feet as well as his health after he had dealt with after he lost his house with a good enough pay rate to get him through the day like buying groceries and a new smartphone.

Skaggles was very happy to see that he has finally was given a second chance in life after he managed to prove himself that he is willing to do his best to take care of Y/n as his own son and going on a loving realtionship with Dracunyana since she did all of this for the two of them and Chip too.

You see, everyone always needed a second chance in life, even Skaggles himself, who actually learned the Other Ways of Parenthood after he had found Y/n in the streets of nowhere.
