A/n: When Y/n L/n moved into Happy Tree Village, she is being hunted down by a couple of men that has a crush on her, which are none other than the retired war veteran named Flippy along with his PTSD alter ego, Fliqpy and the town's own superhero flying squirrel, Splendid and these two are constantly trying to prove who is the better boyfriend to Y/n by impressing her by giving her lots of gifts and protecting her from any harm that comes to her. It's a battle for true love and to win Y/n's heart to be her true lover and boyfriend.

It's Valentine's Day here in Happy Tree Village and everyone is enjoy their holiday spirit with the season of true love, but maybe maybe not Disco Bear since he is always been known as the town's own scummy 70s obsessed womanizer and the way he always tried to impress Giggles and Petunia, but they always rejected him whenever he tries to flirt with them.

One of the residents here that is lucky here is a newcomer here in town, a F/c female bunny rabbit named Y/n L/n, who is also Cuddles' cousin twice removed. She moved here a few months ago to be in touch more with her cousin, Cuddles and she seemed to be getting a lot of attention from everyone in Happy Tree Village because of her very cute and adorable looks and bubbly and bombastic personality. When Valentine's Day is arriving very soon, every boy (and a few of the girls like Flaky, Lammy, Giggles and Petunia) wanted her to be their valentine, but Y/n is not much into having a boyfriend just yet since it was a little fast to be in a relationship that even her cousin, Cuddles seems to understand her situation and tries his best comfort her whenever she's stress out from all the people here in town wanted to be her valentine.

Cuddles: Jeez, guys. Can't you all just let my cousin have a break from all of this love in the air and just take it all slow for once!

It just seem that nobody around here just couldn't leave Y/n alone for a least 5 minutes by herself. However, when Y/n heard a knock on the door, she opened it to find no one, but a bottle of her favorite juice, Grapenyan's Exotic Vineyard Grape Juice with a note that says,

To a very special someone like you, who needs lots of love and attention

I vow my own heart to protect and serve you no matter what,

Y/n was surprised to see someone who understands her situation of finding a proper boyfriend who has a crush on her, making her blush and let out a very cute giggle as she heads back inside of her home with the bottle of grape juice her to enjoy. Unaware that the person who gave her the bottle of grape juice and the note attached to it was none other then the retired war veteran, Flippy, who developed a crush on Y/n ever since she arrived here in town and he completely understands why she doesn't want to be in a relationship that fast and will do his best to win her heart before someone else does. If one of those guys like Disco Bear tried to make her completely uncomfortable, he will have no trouble letting Fliqpy deal with him without Y/n noticing or getting his hands dirty and covered in blood and will protect her no matter what it takes to keep her safe from any harm that come to her.

When Y/n heads over to the kitchen to have a glass of the grape juice she received from her 'secret admirer', she smelled something really sweet in the kitchen and she found a freshly baked loaf of banana bread on her kitchen table with a beautifully crafted card with a written message that said,

To a very special someone to deserves lots of love and respect,

I will protect you from any danger that may come to you wherever you may go,

Y/n was getting confused to how she had gotten two gifts today from her so-called Secret Admirer, but as she looked at both of the cards that came with the gift, the signatures and hand writings were completely different. Y/n began to think about this for a moment.

Y/n *Thinking*: Could I possibly have a couple of secret admirers that understand me about the situation I'm in and decided to take it slow for a relationship. Hmm...I guess I can handle two boyfriends that totally understands me.

As Y/n began having herself a slice of the banana bread and a glass of grape juice, she didn't notice a certain flying squirrel superhero that was watching her enjoying a slice of the banana bread that he gave her and that certain flying squirrel was none other than the legendary hero known as Splendid, who also has a crush on Y/n and understands about her taking a slow progress before having an actual relationship. He promised himself that he will protect her from anyone that will harm her and will keep her safe no matter what it takes to win her heart.

Unless Flippy notices about Splendid doing the same thing as he's doing and if he does, it will result of the two of them being totally jealous of each other to the point of having a battle against each other to see who will win Y/n's heart of becoming her boyfriend and future husband.

Like people always say when these fight each other in a fit of rage and jealousy, 'The bigger they are, the harder they fall.'

Timeskip to Valentine's Day

As the days passed until Valentine's Day, Y/n has been receiving tons of gifts from both Flippy and Splendid such as a bouquet of her favorite flowers, boxes of her favorite chocolates, her favorite music CDs, etc. and since they have been trying to prove who is the better boyfriend to Y/n, they challenged themselves to see who can protect her the most from any danger that might happened to hear from Lumpy nearly running Y/n over with his truck to the wild feral animals that might attack her to the most safe places that she goes into with a lot of safety hazards that might kill her in the most gruesome way.

Y/n is beginning to notice that Flippy and Splendid were always somehow been around her for most of the time and how she was getting so many gifts and how she managed to stay alive from all the dangers she encountered when she moved into Happy Tree Village with her cousin. Then she began putting the pieces together and realizes that her two secret admirers were none other than Flippy and Splendid and it looks like these two are about to fight to the death to win her heart.

Y/n immediately ran over to them to stop them from fighting and causing any more damage to everyone and the whole town, which they both stopped to see their princess in front of them.

Y/n: Why are you two fighting over me? Was it because you both became jealous of each other after you two have been protecting me and giving me such wonderful gifts to me?

The two of them looked each other for a moment before looking back at Y/n and they both felt bad for what they done just to prove who is the better boyfriend to Y/n and knew that fighting with such brute force doesn't seem to work at all.

Flippy: Yes. We are both trying to prove who is the better boyfriend to you, Y/n.

Splendid: And since we both knew that we took it too far with our jealousy, we blew it.

Flippy: Yeah. We're sorry Y/n for doing such a bad act of jealous to you.

Y/n: Guys. There is no need to apologize for your actions. I can handle two boyfriends like you two that is willing to take it a bit slow before having an actual loving relationship with me. So will you guys be willing to patch up your differences with each other and accept my offer of you two becoming my boyfriends and forget all about this jealousy nonsense.

The two of them thought about this for a moment and even though they were in a constant fight from time to time with Flippy's evil and sadistic alter ego to Splendid's superhero powers that is destructive enough wipe out the entire planet, but they can actually work together to keep Y/n safe any harm and from any one that tries to flirt with her that will make her really uncomfortable.

Flippy & Splendid: We accept your offer, Y/n.

Y/n: Good. Now why don't we head on over to a local restaurant for dinner tonight and have some of Splendid's banana bread at my place.

Flippy: Sure that sounds great to me.

Splendid: Yeah, I with you there pal. I really put a lot of effort in baking my special banana bread with my family's homemade recipe.

Y/n: Then let's go then boys. Valentine's Day isn't over yet and we got plenty of time to get to know each other better.

Flippy & Splendid: You said it.

And so the two of them went on an date with their new girlfriend, Y/n and spend the rest of Valentine's Day at her house eating Splendid's homemade banana bread while watching a movie before going to bed together and snuggle up together in Dream Land.

When it comes to the battle to fight for true love depending on what strengths and weakness they might have, its always the old saying that everyone knows about, The Bigger They Are, The Harder They Fall.
