A/n - Y/n L/n has been abused horribly by her own parents and was kicked out of her own home. Now that she was walking through the streets of Happy Tree Village, she went into a state of depression. Her happiness was brought back into her life with the help of the Village's own mute clown named Mime that has deep concerns for Y/n and will do anything to turn that frown Upside Down.

At the crack of Dawn at the local park in Happy Tree Village, there was small F/c female bear named Y/n L/n, who is sitting on the park bench all by herself because of what happened between her and her own abusive parents that kicked her out of the house for no sense of remorse whatsoever, leaving the poor girl under the state of depression to the point of having thoughts of suicide dancing around in her own brain.

Her own parents were happy to have her at first, but eventually they have given up on loving her as their own child, both in flesh and blood. They have forced her to do most of the chores in the house and if she messes up even the slightest mistake, they will punish her for no reason like spilling a bottle of her father's beer or accidently dropped a plate when she is trying to dry it off after washing it. Even their punishments are cruel enough that will even make Fliqpy regret his action whenever he has his own children to take care of. The punishments consist of locking her in the closet or in the basement with no food, water or even warmth for the whole night and getting beaten to a pulp with her father's own leather belt.

Then one day, the two abusive parents had enough of her, so they decided to kick her out of the house with no mercy.

D/n: GET OUT AND STAY OUT YOU LITTLE PIECE OF ****!!! YOU ARE NOTHING BUT A WASTE OF FRESH AIR!!!

M/n: YEAH!! THAT'S THE LAST TIME YOU HAVE BROKEN MY FINE CHINA, YOU LITTLE f***ING TROUBLEMAKER!!

See what I mean, abusive parents with no redeemable qualities, whatsoever.

Anyway, the little girl is now sitting on the park bench at the crack of dawn today because she thought that something might come to her to help her out like a blessing or a miracle or maybe something bad might happen to her that will quickly end her own life. She is living in the world of Happy Tree Friends after all. Lots of things crazy things happen here all the times depending of what crazy thing is going to happen at any time.

But, you just can't help but feel really sorry for her after what she had been through with living with a couple of abusive parents that she doesn't even consider her own parents. In fact, most of the residents of Happy Tree Village were very concerned for her after they saw what happened to her after her parents kicked her out of her own home and they all decided to have a grudge against them because after what they had to pull through before they met their demise, you can never trust a person that abuses their own children for no reason.

Y/n: *Crying* What did I ever do to deserve this kind of punishment? I didn't even do anything wrong at all. First, I was happy to be with them until it all ended horribly when they forced me to do chores and I ended up getting whipped by a leather belt.

She looked at her own arms and legs to see a bunch of her own scars and bruises from all the pain and suffering she had back her former home by her former and abusive parents.

Y/n: I just wanted to have a nice life with a loving family without it being in the papers! How is this my life at all?! *Crying* I just wanted to know what its like to be loved again....*Sniff*

Then suddenly, she looked up to see a shadowy figure with antlers slowly walking towards as if this person have overheard her conversation about her abusive parents, which made Y/n beginning to shake in fear as he slowly comes closer to her with a hand behind its back as if it was reaching for something that even made her shake even harder, knowing what might happen to her after that.

The mysterious figure then gently tapped her on the shoulder and when she looked up to see that he is holding a yellow balloon with a smiley face with the words on the side of the face written in black marker,

"Don't be sad, be happy :)"

Y/n was a bit confused at first, but she looked at the person that is giving her a smiley balloon was none other than the town's very own clown named Mime. He is a purple furred deer with clown make-up with rosy pink cheeks, a black and white stripped shirt and the most colorful pair of purple eyes that looking at her own E/c eyes with a smile on his face that would make everyone smile as well.

I know what you are asking, what is Mime doing here at a time like this giving the little bear cub a balloon with a smiley face on it. Well, it because Mime was disgusted after seeing Y/n's own parents treating her like garbage, which he had made his mission to turn her frown upside down no matter what it takes. He has a lot of concern for her and he didn't want her to be left abandoned like that, so he wanted to happily adopt her as his own because he really likes kids a lot, which is why he became the town's best mime/clown to bring smiles and laughs for everyone in Happy Tree Village.

Y/n: Who are you and why are you giving me a balloon to cheer me up?

Mime wanted to tell her why is he helping her out, but since he's completely mute and the fact that he is also both a mine and clown, so it looks like he needs to improvise this situation with a little game of charades.

He first started acting out the situation enough for Y/n to understand what's going on, which Y/n seems to understand that he's mute and can not speak to her in complete sentences, but she is also not afraid of clowns like him and she can tell that he is trying to communicate by his skills that he learn in Mime & Clown School.

After acting out the first sentence of what Mime is going to say to her, it translates,

Mime: My name is Mime the town's own clown and the reason why I'm trying to put a smile on your face is because I wanted to help you with your problem after your parents kicked you out of your home. I was very disgusted by their actions towards you so that why I made my mission to turn that frown of yours upside down.

Y/n: Wow. Thanks, mister Mime. That's really sweet of you to do that for me.

Mime began to blush after hearing her cheeping herself up and turned her sad frown into a happy smile that made his heart melt in pure joy. Then he begins the next sentence to her,

Mime: But that's not the only thing I'm here for you.

Y/n: Then why are you here then?

Y/n asked Mime in a more happy tone in her voice instead of a tone of sadness and despair. So he continues his act of charades to answer her question.

Mime: I wanted to adopt you as my own daughter because I just love kids so much that I wanted to make smile and laugh. That's why I came into Mime and Clown school to learn how to make people laugh, despite without having a voice to tell jokes or puns and all, but I wanted to know what it's like to raise a child like a foster parent and seeing you here, sitting on that bench while crying yourself a river of your own tears made my heart break into millions and millions of pieces. So I wanted to ask you something that you won't refuse. Will you like for me to adopt you as my own daughter. I promise that you will be treated with a lot of love and respect and I will take really good care of you?

Y/n was shocked and surprised to see him come all the way here to not only give a balloon to make her happy, but he came here to take her in and raise him as his own child. Her own heart just exploded with so much joy that it caused her to run up to Mime and gave him a big hug as a big YES to his offer as his own adopted daughter, which Mime hugged back while crying tears of joy to see her so very happy.

Y/n: Yes! I love to be your daughter, Daddy!! You have made me the happiest girl in the world!! I will never forget this moment in my life!

With Mime and his now adopted daughter now together as family, they decided to spend the whole day having fun together as father and daughter like getting their favorite ice cream with nuts and by the end of the day, Mime took the time to tend her wounds and scars while giving her a kiss on the cheek., fixing her dinner, doing the dishes for her, tucking in her own bed in her very own room while playing a story book cassette to her (Since he is mute and a mime after all) and giving her a kiss goodnight. Exactly what a real caring parents should do to their own children instead of treating them like garbage.

As for the abusive parents, they were immediately arrested by the police force that were sent by everyone in Happy Tree Village because they don't to have these kind of neighbors in their town, especially at this time of year, at this time of day and this part of the country localized entirely within the residence of this town because they don't want to deal with these abusive and obnoxious neighbors and seeing them kicking a poor, innocent child is enough evidence for them to count them as guilty as charged.

By then, Mime is going to be a great parent to Y/n since she is now under his care for now on.
