Iris Pov.
It was at midnight. The streets are empty, my employers have a job for me. A man that is part of the White Fang must be killed. I don't care who he is, along I get paid. I was on top of a Vale warehouse, waiting for my target. I was sitting down near the edge as I watch White Fang's grunts roaming around.
As I waited, I looked back down at my hand.
It was my necklace that my family gave to me before they died by their enemy's hands. I'm the last of my clan. I put the necklace around my neck and hide it in my sweater.
As I did that, I saw an airship land on the docks. I quickly took out my rifle named One-Shot and looked through the scope with my one eye. I adjust the scope, making sure I have to perfect shot.
The landing pad of the airship open, as I see the main Target with two other people. A man wearing a white coat with orange hair, with a top hat. Then a girl around my age that have Pink and Brown hair and eyes. She's also holding an umbrella, most likely her main weapon.
The main target was a bear Faunus, he's a big guy with bear ears. Nothing too much. The White Fang grunts gather some crates full of dust from the Schnee's Dust Company.
I aimed to the target head as I breathed in and out, as I waited for the right moment. I then saw two people ran out form a warehouse. A woman with deer horns and a little girl with similar features of the women and the target. The little girl ran up to her the target as the target scoops her up and hugged each other. The women soon joined them, a happy family... soon to be changed by a single shot.
As the grunts carried the crates into the airship, the target put the little girl down. As the turns back to the white coat man and the two colours haired girl. Without hesitation, I pulled the trigger. The targets head blasted in pieces, blood stained the four people around him. The wife of the target screamed as the child stared in horror. The girl and the man quickly took coved, like the rest of the White Fang grunts.
The wife cried over her husband's body, as the child looks on with horror.
With the target dead, my jobs here are done and I get paid. A gruelling job yes, but the job that I was made for...

Iris Pov.
I climb up the building where all the dorms are in Beacon. I stopped at our floor and open our dorm window, then I hopped inside. I closed the window behind me, as I looked at the team I'm working with. I saw (Y/n) once again snuggling with Zheng. They both are hugging each other, although Zheng never wants to admit it. They seemed cute together for being opposites. I guess (Y/n) is the only person can suppress her nightmares, whatever her nightmares are.
I look over to Wei's bed and see her sleeping peacefully as usual. I quickly pulled a suitcase under my bed and place my One-shot in the case. I slid it back under the bed, as I head Wei yawning.
"Iris?" Wei said as she turns to me. "What are you up so late? It's like 2:30..." She told me.
"Don't worry about it, just worry about yourself," I said as I got up facing my bed.
She was silent for a seconded before she speaks, "So... you killed him, didn't you?"
"What do you mean?" I said suspiciously.
"The Target that Atlas sent you," Wei said.
"How did you know?" I asked as I pulled a knife under my sleeve.
"You don't have to kill me, I won't tell anyone I can promise you that," She said before explaining. "My family have been kept on eye on you, ever since Atlas sent you to kill Adam."
"Your family?" I asked as I looked back at her, knife still in my hand.
"Yes, my family. Since you know, The Schnee's Dust Company has a huge influence in Atlas, that they could hire you to kill one of my family members. " She explained. "Your failure at the assassination of Adam caught many attentions of others, Iris."
"He just got lucky," I told her.
"Blake isn't it?" She asked.
I sighed, "Yes... she saved him..."
"Yet, you hadn't killed her. Why?"
"Because she's not my target until someone hires me to kill her. So be it," I said looking towards the knife in my hand.
"So... you only kill for the money," She said. "Don't worry I won't tell anyone about this, I promise you once again."
"Good..." I said putting the knife back under my sleeve.
"They will discover eventually..." Wei yawned before going back to sleep. I looked back at her one more time before I laid on my bed and fall asleep.

Iris Pov.
It was once again lunchtime, I was reading once again. As my team talked to team RWBY and JNPR. Until Wei spoked to me, "Iris I would like to talk to you in private."
I nodded and stood up. We walked out of the cafe and walked over to the side. We were near the windows of the cafe and we can see them hanging out.
"What do you want?" I asked coldly.
"Well, so far I can't trust you, Iris," She explained. "What if they'd hire you to kill me or all of us. Would you do it?" She asked.
"Yes," I told her.
"That's... not really comforting, I rather not have to sleep a knife under my pillow." She sighed. "How about, my family pay you to stop all this?"
"I can't,"
"Why is that?" She asked tilting her head.
"It's what I do. I'm just a cold-blooded killer," I said.
"Oh come on. You can't be cold-blooded killer, Iris," She told me. "There's got to be something? Why? Would you keep going?"
"Cause... I need to money, and killing is what I do best nothing else," I told her.
"But you're a smart person, maybe something in history or science can help," She suggested.
"No... I'm a born killer," I said walking intensely up to her face. "It's what I do..."
Before Wei can respond, Yang was launched out the window into the trees.
"Alright, Zheng!" She shouted as her eyes turned red. "You insulted my sister and touch my hair! You're fuckin Dead!" She shouted charging back in, though the window she was thrown out of.
Wei sighed, "We'll talk later. We need to stop those two before the whole cafeteria will be in rubble."
I nodded and we both ran back inside...

Your Pov.
It was now Professor Oobleck's class. And he's once again hyped on coffee. He was moving inhuman speeds while taking sips of coffee and talk loud, and fast. I remember as I child when I first drank coffee... yeah... I basically was Oobleck... I'll never drink coffee again.
I turned my head to my right to see my team. Wei is listening carefully somehow... and drinking her tea at the same time. Zheng had some bruises on her after the fight with Yang. It was my fault really... I let Yang flirt with me and I got all flustered. I don't get why she hates Yang flirting with me. But anyways she was board like every class, she mostly just watches videos on her scroll. While Iris is once again reading a book, a different one at least.
"Yes! Yes, prior to the Faunus Rights Revolution, more popularly known as the Faunus War. Humankind was quite, quite adamant about the centralizing Faunus population in Menagine." He said.
The Faunus Rights Revolution, three years of war agaist the humans. It took place after the great war. My father and adopted farther told me about the stories of Faunus fighting for their rights to freely live among humans in peace.
From what I have read, the only group of humans who supported the Rights of Faunus are the Royal Nights. During the war, they helped many Faunus escaped to Menagine and fought alongside them at times. Their reputation fell among humans and they started to distrust them. In the end, the Royal Nights survived the conflict and their reputation improved.
Oobleck then zips to the side and took another sip of his coffee. He then zoomed towards the front of his desk, "Now! While this must feel like ancient history of you, it is imperative to remember that these are relatively recent events!"
"Why the repercussions of the uprising can still be seen today!" He said as he zooms over to Jaune. Jaune was of course sleeping.
"Now!" He said sipping his coffee before zooming at the middle row of the class. "Have any among you have among you been subjugated or discriminated against because of your Faunus heritage?" He asked the class.
Velvet, I and some other person raised our hands. I looked over to Blake and see she didn't raise her hands. She's been hiding her cat ears for a while now.
"Dreadful, simply dreadful!" he said. "Remember, students, it is precisely this kind of ignorance that breeds violence!" he spoke as he took another sip.
"I mean, I mean, I mean just look at what happened to the White Fang!"
White Fang, those Faunus. They were good people, but they have lost their way. Now they kill anyone who hates Faunus, I know they probably desert something, but not death. This killing of people that only hate Faunus, leads to suspension and distrust of the White Fang. And this will lead to more death. The Royal Nights used to help them, but when they started to act violently. They disgrace them and cut all ties with them.
I gotta thanks Wei for teaching a lot of history, at times I think I should let her teach me at times. She's also pretty... (Y/n) no! Don't get ahead of yourself...
"Now, which one of you young scholars can tell me what many theorists believe to be the turning point of the war in the third year of the war?" He asked the class. Weiss then rose her hand up, "Yes?"
"The Battle at Fort Castle!" Weiss told him.
"Precisely!" He shouted and now somehow back at his deck. "And who can tell me the advantage the Faunus had over the General Langue's Forces?" He asked.
Cardin then flicked as grumble piece of paper onto Jaune waking him up, "Hey!" Jaune shouted annoyed.
"Mr. Arc!" Oobleck shouted as the zoomed infront of Jaune. "Finally contribute to class! This is excellent! Excellent! What is the answer?" He asked him.
"Uhhhh... The Answer..." He said thinking really hard, "The advantage... of the Faunus... had over that's guy's stuff," he slowly said looking over to Pyrrha who's trying to tell him about their night-vision by using charades.
"U-um, B-binoculars!" He answered. Everyone laughed, expect my team, Weiss, Blake, Phyrra and Velvet. Phyrra slapped her face.
"That's... not even close..." Wei said quietly.
"No shit, Wei," Zheng told her.
"Very funny, Mr. Arc," Oobleck said zooming back to his desk. "Cardin! Perhaps you would care to share your thoughts on the subject?" He asked him.
"Well, I know it's a lot easier to train an animal than a soldier," Cardin said. He then got smacked on the top of his head by Zheng, "Ow!" Cardin grumbled as he rubs his head.
"You're not the most open-minded of individuals, are you, Cardin?" Pyrrha spoke bitterly.
"What? You got a problem?" Cardin spat at her.
"I got a problem with you..." Zheng spoke quietly.
"Let's not get into fights again Zheng... You and Yang almost got in trouble with Glynda during the launch," Wei told her.
I then raised my hand. "Ah (Y/n), did you know the answer?" He asked.
"It's... um... Night-vision," I told him.
"General Lagune was inexperienced and made the mistake of trying to ambush them the Faunus in their sleep. His massive was outmatched, and the General was captured," Blake added. She then turns to Cardin and grinned, "Perhaps if he'd paid attention in class, he wouldn't have been remembered a such a failure."
Cardin growled and stands from his desk, wanting to attack Blake.
"Mr. Winchester! Please take a seat," Oobleck demands him. Jaune snickers until Oobleck zooms to them both, "You and Mr. Arc both see me after class for additional readings."
Jaunes groaned in annoyance...

Iris Pov.
As we walked out of class, (Y/n) tapped me on my shoulder.
"Iris, can we talk in private?" She asked.
I nodded in response. She smiled, as she looks over to Wei and Zheng, "I and Iris are going have a chat, we'll meet you back at the dorm," She told them.
They both nod as they left. (Y/n) then grabbed my arm, and started to pull me. My heart stopped as she grabbed my arm. There was a faint blush on my cheeks as she drags me outside of Beacon.
'What? What's happening to me? What is this feeling?' I thought to myself.
We then stopped outside of the entrance of Beacon, "Um... Iris," She spoke getting my intention.
"Yes?" I asked recovering from whatever that was she did to me.
"The knife... under your sleeve," She said pointing at my sleeve.
It's where I instantly knew, that she saw and heard the whole thing.
"It's about last night isn't it?" I asked her, wanting her to confirm it.
"Y-yes..." She shyly said. "Why?" She asked knowing what she's asking.
"I can't let anyone discover my identity, (Y/n). If one does, I must kill so I can keep myself safe," I explained.
"S-so... you're willing to kill your own team?" She asked trying her best to keep calm. But I knew she was scared.
"Yes, I would," I told her harshly.
"Iris... why?"
"It's what I do (Y/n). I was born into this, I was made for killing. Ever since birth, I've killed others already... I can't be something else (Y/n)" I told her.
"T-then... then let me change you!" She said.
"What is there to change (Y/n)?" I asked her. She'd looked into my emotionless eyes. She stared at eyes for a while before looking down in defeat, "Exactly, I'm not worth saving (Y/n). You're better of doing it to someone else," I said as I started to leave.
Before I could leave her, She grabbed my arm with both of her hands, "I don't care! I'm going to help you! Whatever you like it or not!" She shouted.
I was amazed by her determination, yet I refused. "Good luck, it's not worth it, (Y/n)," I said ripping my arm out of her grip, leaving her under the craked moonlight...
Third Pov.
(Y/n) watch Iris walked away from her. She looks down and sighed. Her hand curved into a fist as she looks up to the moon with a determined face.
"I won't give in, not anymore. She won't be the monster like me..."

Third Pov.
Cardin was one his scroll talking to someone.
"Yes, yes... I got a plan. Just you wait, for a few more days. I got it all planned, just wait and see," He told the man on the phone.
"Yes, I got someone that could do it for me. With just the use of blackmail..."
