Everyone around the alpha and Y/N gasps in unison and the party seems to stop for a moment after the DJ whispers, "Oh shit", silencing the music.

It is rather shocking to hear her mate rejecting her in such a grand party with the other packs filling the whole area to Y/N, but it seems her mate just couldn't wait any longer.

It didn't help that Taehyung was an asshole with capital a to her ever since they met, always yelling at her, insulting her and borderline abusing her just because she's not the girl he wants or at least that's what he often says. He has a reputation for being the cold alpha like his father, not to mention.

Y/N sighs in annoyance. "Damn it, you beat me to it! I wanted to reject you first!"

Someone among the crowd goes, "Oh my gosh, drama!"

"Ahem." A tall, well built man steps forward to Y/N with a dashing smile. "Allow me to introduce myself into your life. I'm Kim Namjoon, the alpha of-"

"Yeah, go back to your pack then, buddy," she chimes, rejecting his advances immediately, and turns to her mate. "I'm finally a free woman now and I'll do things my way from now on."

"What?" Taehyung scoffs, glaring at her. "You're going rogue?"

"Nope." Y/N grins wider. "I'm building my own pack."

All she receives from the others are shocked murmurs and judgmental glances, but she's not fazed in the slightest. Rather, she's bursting with excitement to be doing something so out of the ordinary.

"Also, as your ex-mate I want to say... your leadership skills are total wack and your mate qualities are tragic."

The crowd is crying out in surprise, eagerly watching a pack alpha being roasted by his mate. Well, ex-mate.

Taehyung's nostrils are flaring but he controls himself in front of the other packs. "Are you done?"

"Sure, in like, a minute just like you in bed."

The crowd goes crazy, whooping, "Oooooohhhh", clearly enjoying the 'drama'.

"Dude, what is even happening," Suho, another pack's alpha laughs to Jaebum, the alpha of his pack's ally who snorts.

"I don't know but I'm enjoying this more than any party. Someone had to stand up to Taehyung. I'm liking that girl. We should invite her to our alliance once she forms her pack."

"Totally."

"You better watch your back, Y/N," Taehyung growls but Y/N waves him off, snickering.

"I'm so scared."

Thus, after years of hard work and dedication, Y/N has been able to form her own pack from scratch, mainly with rogues who needed better leadership and care. Much to everyone's surprise, some werewolves from her old pack have even joined her pack willingly.

Her pack has become one of the most powerful packs and she has successfully formed alliances with many others due to her charisma.

And when Taehyung comes after her, pleading to take her back as his mate, she flips her hair and doesn't look at him with one eye. She doesn't need him. She's perfectly well on her own, a powerful female alpha.
