Defined

I look beyond the

curtains drawn, searching for light

there is but darkness

I close the curtains

and turn away

Am I facing

my final day?

I walk this room, not

familiar to me, there is

no door visible

Blinded now I stumble

and fall to my knees

Cry out in silence

“Someone, please help me.”

I hear no sound, no 

heartbeat, no breath I can take

am I, am I not

The memories fade

the visions are blind

The word death

is now defined
