Tell me what you see...
"Tell me what you see."
It is dark and cold...
I have this feeling that
I'm being watched
it's frightening me...
I can hear sounds of laughter, but they're a mixture of crazy with evil,
I can listen to voices quietly being
whispered to me, they say there is something I must see...
"Keep walking,
tell me what you see."
I can see a woman with a baby girl,
She's smiling, but her eyes are hiding something twisted...her expression resembles regret and despise.
A sudden uneasy feeling engulfs me, and everything spins brutally in a hurl...I'm now standing in front of a house, from the outside, it looks cozy and beautiful, but there's something inside that makes me feel petrified.
"You must get in,
tell me what you see."
I see a young girl...
She is making her way into that same house; she is humming a song that she's hearing through her headphones.
She looks happy while trapped in her own daydreaming...but her happy moment only lasts for a few more seconds before she replaces the happy humming with a pitch-screaming...
"Tell me what you see."
She is crying and trying to wake her up, but she doesn't react to any of her begging pleas.
"Wake up, who? Tell me
what you see."
Her mother...she attempted suicide,
the girl wasn't supposed to be here; her friend didn't show up, so she came home early to this scene never to unseen...
Her mother survived, but now the girl looks so unlive, she sneaked into a conversation between her father and older sister...
She shouldn't be there,
she shouldn't have listened!
"Listen to what? Tell me what you hear!"
Her mother had depression, they said...
Postpartum depression was left untreated, making her life and all around her miserable.
She blamed it on the baby,
which shouldn't have happened,
the girl was unwanted, and for her
mother she was a disaster.
Now all makes sense...
"What does?"
The looks in her mom's eyes...
The girl's constant feeling of being loved differently from her own sister, now finally she realizes that she was a mistake that happened for no reason...
"Do you understand now? Tell me what you see."
I want to tell her that is not true,
There's a reason for everything,
I get closer to her, and when she turns to face me, my heart sinks in,
This cannot be real...
"Tell me what you see!"
That girl was...me.
