What does the dark mean to you?
Is the place where you hide,
And no light ever shines?

It's the place where you cry,
And where does your pain magnify?

Is it the place where the real you
finally break through?
It's the place where you face
your nightmares,
With silence screams?
It's where you face your sorrows
and open seams with tears?
It's where you heal your soul
And your own loss condole?

But you know what is funny?
My dark isn't when the sun is a dime.
Darkness exists even in the
brightest light
and although you are in the dark
you own the spotlight,
Leaving space for despise and fright.
It's the place where your
heart shatters,
But there is no other place that
I rather be hidden among
the shadows,
because there is where
I will find the real me...
