Episode 33

When Sakina awoke the next day, she found Sakura standing in front of the door with her hands on her hips and a determined look on her face.

"Why didn't you tell me those girls were giving you trouble?" She questioned.

"Ah, well...I forgot..."

"You forgot? What could be so important that you forgot?"

"Um...well..." Sakina looked away and tried to avoid her gaze.

Then, Sakina's cellphone began ringing breaking the silence.

"Ah, hello?" She asked, answering it.

"Oh, sure! I'll come over but...are You sure it's alright? Okay, I'll see you later,"

Sakina hung up her cellphone and did a quick stretch before going and changing her clothes.

"Hey, Sakina! Where are you going?" Sakura demanded.

"I'm going over Onii-san's house," Sakina responded.

"But I thought you didn't like going over there. Won't you see your dad there?"

There was silence again. When Sakina returned, she had a frown on her face.

"It's true me and Papa have been distant lately...It's still hard to imagine him with another woman..."

"You mean with Daiki's mom right? You guys were cousin's due to your mom being related to Aomine, but now you're siblings. I guess that's still kind of tough living like that. No wonder you live here."

Sakina sighed heavily before tying her hair in a ponytail with her green ribbon.

"I'll see you later," she murmured, leaving the house.

Sakina knocked on the front door and shifted uncomfortably. When the door opened, Aomine stood at the door yawning. "Mom's out shopping, Both of them are. You don't have to act so stiff."

Sakina's face brightened and she stepped inside. "It still looks the same," she said, glancing around.

"Yeah, nothing's changed. Are you coming or what?"

Aomine was halfway up the stairs and was looking back at Sakina lazily.

"Yes!" Sakina exclaimed, following him up to his room.

When Sakina entered Aomine's bedroom, she stood at the door with a surprised look on her face.

The room was messy, and had clothes thrust around and magazines everywhere.

"Onii-san...Do You ever clean up?" She questioned, watching as Aomine plopped down on his bed and fiddled with his game system controller.

"Hn? I'll clean up later," he responded, starting up the game.

Sakina sighed and glanced down at a magazine on the floor. Curious, she picked it up and flipped to a random page. Her face immediately became mortified and a dark greyness hung over her head as her mouth opened.

"Here, the game'll start soon," Aomine called out, mindlessly tossing Sakina a controller without bothering to look at her.

The controller hit Sakina in the arm but she hardly noticed. Her expression calmed before she ripped the magazine in half with strength she didn't know she had.

Aomine looked back at her and gave her a look of shock. "Oi! What are you doing?! Don't rip those!"

"Onii-san...Go die..."  She said darkly, turning her head over to him as a dark aura overcame her.

Sensing the danger, Aomine stood up slowly and backed away.

"Calm...down..." He said slowly as Sakina began to approach him.

There was loud banging noises and several screams.

"What's going on in there?" Mrs. Aomine asked, opening the door and staring at the scene.

Sakina was seated at the edge of the bed and Aomine was lying on the floor with large bump bruises all over his head and bite marks.

"Daiki, what happened to you?"

"Oh, hi mom...just...fell down the stairs..." Aomine's muffled voice said.

His mother frowned and raised her eyebrow before glancing over at Sakina.

Mrs. Aomine said no more and simply shut the door behind herself as she left.

"You're brutal," Aomine said, trying desperately to beat Sakina at the fighting game.

"I'll destroy you..." She growled, pressing the buttons on her controller rapidly.

The end result was utter annihilation for Aomine and he cursed and threw his controller in frustration.

"When did you get so good?" Aomine asked, lying back on the bed and sighing heavily.

Sakina gave no response and merely glanced at him.

"The real question is, when did you become a pervert," she retorted after a few moments.

"Don't judge," Aomine said, sitting up and  flicking Sakina on the forehead.

Sakina gasped and began to rub her forehead.  "Ahomine..." She muttered.

Sakina stood up and stretched her arms before taking out her cellphone and beginning to text.

"Whatcha up to?" Aomine asked, watching her.

"Texting my boyfriend," she answered, playfully.

Judging from the look Aomine was giving her, Sakina knew she had achieved the desired effect.

"Who is it?" He growled, obviously angry.

Sakina couldn't contain herself and began laughing. "I'm...not...telling!" She exclaimed in between breaths.

Aomine immediately stood up and reached for the cellphone.

Sakina outmaneuvered him, however, and continued texting as she pranced around keeping her cellphone out of his reach.

"Damn it Sakina! Tell me who it is!" He demanded, chasing her around the room.

Sakina continued to laugh until she slipped on one of the magazines and fell to the ground.

Aomine launched at her and tried to pry the Cellphone from her fingers.

"You can't have it! You'll never know!" Sakina shouted, jerking the cellphone away.

Despite this, Aomine managed to pry it free and stood up triumphantly and searched through Sakina's text messages.

As he scrolled down her messages, Sakina pouted and crossed her arms across her chest.

"You're dating...Kise? " Aomine said moments later in disbelief.

"Eh?! No! I'm not dating Kise!" Sakina shouted, standing up and yanking her cellphone out of his hands.

"How did he even get your number? He's must've texted you over a hundred times." Aomine stated.

"I'll definitely kill him if he ever tries to date you..." he mumbled.

"You know, I was kidding about having a boyfriend. I don't think I want one right now what with tennis being my main concern. Speaking of tennis, In a few weeks there's gonna be a tournament and I'm gonna play!"

"You're gonna play in a tournament?"

"Uh huh! You gotta promise that you'll come and cheer me on!" Sakina exclaimed, her eyes lighting up.

"Yeah, 'course I'll cheer you on," Aomine said, ruffling her hair.

The door opened and the sound of a familiar voice caused Sakina to turn and face them.

"It's nice to see you Sakina."

"Hello...Papa,"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sakina sat in the car and said nothing as her Dad drove her home.
"I'm glad that you decided to visit. If you're feeling up to it, you should really come and join us for dinner," Her Dad said.
Sakina pushed on the radio and listened as the band One Ok Rock began playing.
As the music filled in the silence, Sakina closed her eyes and tried to drift off.
Her dad turned down the music and said, "I know it's too much to ask of you but please understand the circumstances,"
"I understand. But I can't replace Momma..." Sakina said quietly.
"No one's replacing your mother. I loved her, and I still love you. That's why I'm not forcing the matter upon you. My boss has informed me that in a few months around summer time, I've got to make another trip to America. Do you want to come with me? It'll just be the two of us."
Sakina opened her eyes and stared out the window. "I don't know," she murmured.
Her dad sighed and pulled over. The car was outside Sakina's home.
Sakina climbed out of the car and wordlessly approached the front door. She took a glance back at her Dad who was watching her before entering the house.
"You're back," Sakura said, shifting on the couch.
"Yeah," Sakina responded, heading into the kitchen.
Sakina fixed herself a bowl of ramen before taking a seat on the couch beside Sakura.
"What's on?" She asked.
"A drama. It's called Owari no Seraph. I hear that the actor's will be headed here for The show's promo! Isn't that cool? My favorite actor is Mika! Kyaa! He's super cute!" Sakura squealed.
Sakina began to eat her ramen as the opening theme music began and Everyone became quiet.
"You know...Mika x Yuu is a thing," Nina interrupted.
"Stop doing that! Just wkcmrmxkd!!!!" Sakura screamed.
