IT'S BEEN SIX MONTHS SINCEย the Isle of the Lost kids came to Auradon. Ben and I are still ruling, which is a lot of hard work. I never get any breaks. The Royal Cotillion is coming soon and everyone is preparing, which is so stressful! I don't even have a date because of all the preparations. I was watching Mal being bombarded by the paparazzi.
Everyone was trying to get Mal's attention, "Only three days to the Royal Cotillion," one lady says shoving the mic in her face.
"Ever think a girl like you would be Lady of the Court?" someone asks.
I saw a tall shadowy figure come from beside me than a crunching noise and turn to see Ben as the figure. "How does it feel to be the most envied girl in Auradon?" another interviewer asks.
"Well, do you like being blonde?" Mal kept getting questions back and forth, she couldn't even answer them.
When one of the interviewers mentioned Mal's mother being a lizard that was when Ben and I knew it was time to save her. Ben cleared his throat getting everyone's attention as we started walking towards Mal and the crazy paparazzi, "Okay. All right. Excuse me," Ben implores the paparazzi as he shifts everyone away to rescue Mal.
"Uh, we will let you know if and when that particular situation changes," I add.
"Did you ever think you'd be with a Villain kid, Ben?" someone asks.
Ben chuckles at the question, "We're done here," Ben declares into the mic.
Fairy Godmother got the signal and started hushing and shooing the paparazzi and interviewers, "This is still a school, so if you're here, you're either skipping or trespassing," Fairy Godmother says, there were still people talking over each other and cameras going off from all sides. Fairy Godmother somehow managed to get rid of all the photographers and interviewers.
"Thank you, guys," Ben says as they start backing away.
"Thank you. Thank you. Mal. Beatrice. Ben," she bows walking away.
"Fairy Godmother," we all said as she left me third-wheeling.
When it was just the three of us Mal let out a breath, "Don't pay any attention to them," Ben sighs to Mal. I was just standing by the side so Mal and I can go to Evie and Mal's room for Evie's designs.
"Well, that's a lot easier said than done, right?" Mal chuckles.
"I know, I know. You know, maybe we should do something. We should go somewhere. Get away," Ben smiles.
"Yeah," Mal agrees.
"You know, what doโ" Ben looks down at his watch, "I have a council meeting. I'm so late!"
"That's okay," Mal sighs.
"We'll-We'll do it sometime. Uh..." Ben starts but gets interrupted by Evie walking towards them.
"If we don't do a fitting for your gown right this minute, you'll both being dancing in your bathrobe, okay? Hi. Let's go. Let's go," Evie says grabbing onto both Mal and I's arms.
"But I have a council meeting," I whine stopping her in her tracks.
"Ben will fill you in, right?" Evie gives Ben a death glare.
"Yeah, sure... Okay. Bye," Ben faintly whimpers before Evie pulls us away. I hear indistinct shouting and laugh at the thought of my brother having to deal with them all by himself.

Mal was currently getting her gown ready, it looks beautiful on her. I sat on Mal's bed in my gown that Evie had prepared for me. Evie was zipping up the dress, "Oh! Okay, Evie, I cannot breathe," Mal gasps trying to get air. I was lying on Evie's bed reading her latest fashion magazine waiting for my turn. I noticed Evie bookmarked a bunch of pages to her favourite trends. I am so proud of her for what she's been able to accomplish in Auradon with her designs.
"Well, you can breathe after Cotillion," Evie says taking a look at the front of the dress.
"Well, I sincerely doubt that. I have at least 20 more events directly behind it, and I can't even remember what a single one of them is," Mal cries.
Evie was more focused on her dress, she was admiring how it looked on Mal, "Impeccable," Evie whispers to herself.
"Evie?" Mal asks.
"Hmm?" Evie hums.
"Do you ever think about what we'd be doing if we were back on the Isle right now?" Mal asks, Evie laughs.
"That's funny," Evie states.
I grab the remote and turn the TV on, just in time for the segment about Mal, "Ah! Look who's on TV," I giggle. Evie helps Mal off the podium. I sit up from Evie's bed to get closer to the girls and also to get a closer view of the TV.
"As the royal couple and Queen Beatrice continue their tour of the kingdom, they dined with Aladdin and Jasmine. Six months ago..." the reporter comments, I hear Mal's nervous chuckle from behind me.
"No one thought King Ben and his girlfriend from the wrong side of the bridge would last," the reporter mentions.
"Yeah. No kidding," Mal chuckles.
"Mal must be counting the days until the Royal Cotillion..." my thoughts while watching the segment got interrupted as someone gasps.
"Mal?" I call out as Evie was paying more attention to a board that has all her meetings with her clients. I could hear books piling from behind me. I listen in on what Mal was doing instead of turning to catch her red-handed. The sound of rummaging books ran through my ears. Evie and I looked at each other in disappointment.
"Read it fast at lightning speed. Remember everything I need," Mal reads off her spellbook before picking up her book she needed to finish for class.
"I know Mal's secret to fitting in, and Ben wouldn't like it one bit," Evie recalls as she got closer to Mal's bed.
"Haven't you guys had enough secrets between the two of you already?" I ask.
"Evie, Bea, you remember what I was like before I started using my spellbook. I mean, I was a complete disaster," Mal sighs.
"Well, personally, as your two best friends, we strongly believe that this spellbook..." Evie starts getting closer to Mal and slowly grabs the spellbook as Mal gasps.
"It belongs in the museum, along with Evie's mirror," I finish giving her a look, which she returns.
"Don't give me the face," Evie and I object. Mal pouts, "Pout the pout away."
Mal gives up, "Mm-hmm. You know we're right," Evie says.
"You don't ever miss running wild and just breaking all the rules?" Mal asks.
"Like stealing and lying and fighting?" I ask.
"Yeah!" Mal exclaims.
"No!" Evie answers.
"What?" Mal gasps.
Evie chuckles at her expression, "Why would we?" Evie questions.
"M, come here," Evie takes Mal's hand making her stand up, nodding me to come along.
"Look at where we are. We're in Auradon!" Evie exclaims. I come from behind them and put my arms around each of them, "And you're Auradon girls now."
"Since Mal revealed her love of strawberries, she has received hundreds of cartons from her admirers," the reporter stated through the bright television. Both me and Evie squealed at the TV as we saw Ben and Mal on their romantic date.
"Here she is enjoying a cozy bite..." the reporter starts but Evie talks over her.
"See, this is the land of opportunity. We can be whatever we want to be here. So, please, let's just leave the past in the past okay?" Evie asks softly.
"Besides, I mean, look at the shoes. Look at them," Evie gasps.
"Mm. Severe," Mal mutters. We all laugh as we return the fitting. I had to run to Ben so I can be all caught up on the meeting that had to happen today. Later, I needed to run to Jane and Lonnie to prepare some things for Cotillion.
