CH. 9 (Peter's Challenge)
"You're an absolute plonker, Caspian! What were you doing?! Trying to free my mum is it?" I scolded. "Wait, she's your mum?" Caspian asked. "No, she's my dad," I mumbled sarcastically, Caspian scoffed. I walked into the fortress part of the How. "Aurora, High King Peter is calling for you," Suncloud said as soon as he saw me. "What for?" I asked, probably he just wanted to scold and lecture me. "He said that he has a task for you." I rolled my eyes and thanked Suncloud, I ran to find Peter and eventually found him, Edmund, Glenstorm, and Wimbleweather, a half-giant, in the place where I encountered Jadis.
"What did you call me for?" I asked, Peter, looked up from the stone table where a map was laid on. "You're going with Edmund." Not again, I sighed and walked to the stone table to look at their plan. "What for? There are no markings on the map. Are we planning some kind of war against the Telmarines or something?" I asked. "No, both of us, we're going to the Telmarine camp with Glenstorm and Wimbleweather." Edmund interrupted. "We?" I asked. "Yes, now no more time to explain. Windmane had some armour for you, go get it from her, get dressed and meet Edmund and these two outside." I nodded and eventually bumped into Windmane. "There you are, Aurora, High King Peter asked me to-" I cut her off by nodding and taking the armor from her. "Thanks, Windmane," I said before leaving her to change...
I walked out of the How with a new dagger and a water canteen in my belt, my armor was similar to Susan's armor. "Alright, let's go," I mumbled, Edmund mounted Glenstorm's back while I stayed down, Edmund looked down at me from Glenstorm's back and gave me a weird look. "Aren't you getting on?" He asked. "I'd rather walk."
"Oh, for Narnia's sake." Glenstorm pulled me up on his back and started galloping with Wimbleweather running at the same pace as Glenstorm. "Bloody hell." I mumbled and wrapped my arms around Edmund's waist to keep myself from falling.
We arrived at the Telmarine camp, Glenstorm and Wimbleweather stayed nearby where as Edmund and I walked to the tent where the king of Telmarines, Miraz, to announce Peter's challenge. "We have come to send a message from High King Peter of Narnia." I said, Miraz leaned forward on his chair and eyed the both of us suspiciously. "King Peter?" He questioned. "Go on." I nudged Edmund slightly, Edmund took out a scroll and opened it...

"So, tell me Prince Edmund-" "King." Edmund corrected. "I- pardon?" Miraz asked. "It's King Edmund, actually, just king though. Peter's the High King. I know it's confusing." Miraz looked at me and raised a brow. "And you're the queen?" He asked me, I chuckled. "No, I'm a guardian." I replied, Miraz turned back to Edmund. "Why would you risk such a proposal? When our men could you out by night fall?" He asked. "Haven't you already underestimated our numbers?" Edmund asked. "Just a week ago we Narnians were extinct." I said. "And so you will be again."
"Well, then you have little to fear." Miraz laughed. "This is not a question of bravery." Miraz said, I took out my water canteen and started drinking from the how hot the armour felt. "So you're bravely refusing to fight a swordsman half your age." Miraz paused, and leaned forward. "I did not say I refused." He sneered. "Sire, our military advantage alone makes a perfect excuse to whatever-" Miraz stood up from his seat furiously and picked up his sword. "I am not refusing anything!" Miraz exclaimed, he pointed at us with his sword. "You, you better hope that your brother's sword is sharper than his pen." Edmund smirked. "Don't worry, I will." Edmund replied, we both walked out of the tent and walked to Wimbleweather and Glenstorm. "Our task is complete, let's go." I said and whistled, a griffin from the sky landed in front of us. I got on the griffin's back and flew back to the How...
