HOLDEN'S POV:

I was walking to my car in the lot when I heard a bunch of girls talking a couple of cars next to mine.

"That new guy Holden seems nice," One of them said.

"Yeah if you like a monkey with a pea brain that can't even kick the ball," Another voice said, and they all laughed.

My cheeks burned as I realized the voice was:

Skye.

I hated her so much I was about to cry as I opened the door of my car and put the key in the ignition.

How could she say those things about me?! She doesn't even know me!

But I do know one thing.

I will never let Skye get the best of me again.
