Chapter Five || Locked Out

HOLDEN'S POV

I was walking from math class to Spanish, and my mind was racing.

What would Skye do to me? How would she react?

I walked into the classroom and sat in my normal seat and I waited for her to come and sit next to me.

She entered the room and sat down in her seat.

She said hey, and I replied meekly with a small hello .

It seemed as if nothing was wrong and I started to get worried that something was up.

I held my breath until the end of class when I gave a sigh of relief.

Maybe I'm just paranoid. Why would she do anything back? She probably will let it go.

Then at soccer practice I was more confident and as we were partnering I was back to normal and throughout practice we were laughing and talking.

"Hey Skye do you want a ride home?" I asked her, taking a leap of faith.

"Sure, I mean my mom's usually here until late and I don't have my license yet" She told me.

"Okay, then meet me outside the boys locker room in ten minutes."

SKYE'S POV

Maybe I shouldn't carry this out. He's being so nice right now, but don't forget what he did yesterday. Of course I had to get my revenge.

"Ew Holden you're so sweaty," I told him as we were walking off the field.

"Yeah, maybe I should shower before we leave so I don't stink up the car." He replied.

"Hey can you give me your keys so I can turn on the AC? I'm so hot." I asked.

With that he threw me the keys and walked over to the boys locker room.

But instead of going to his car like I should've, I stood outside the boys locker room until all the other boys left.

When the last boy left, I still heard the shower running and I knew this was my shot.

I bolted in and found the only pair of clothes in there on a bench I grabbed them and dashed to his car in an instant.

I unlocked the car, threw the clothes and keys inside and then hit the LOCK DOOR button on the inside of the door and shut the car with a satisfactory smile.

Now he was locked out, his clothes were locked in, and I was walking (more like running) home.

HOLDEN'S POV

As I stood outside of my car wrapped in a towel, only one thought was running through my head: crap!

I was stupid for trusting Skye. Now I was standing outside with barely anything on, with no access to my car. Great. Now what was I supposed to do? I ran my hands through my hair, bracing myself for what I was about to do. I drew my fist back, and with all the strength I could muster, I broke the window.

My mom was going to kill me. But I could always patch it later. I grabbed my keys and clothes and sprinted to the locker room.

After I was done changing, I went back to my newly messed up car and headed home.

Skye was going to pay for this.
