AN: Please read "Forget Me Not" part first before this (to make sense)

It was the usual free from training day for Levi Squad. But they knew exactly what their captain would told them to do during those days. Yes, cleaning. And all of them already used to it to the extend that nobody ever complained about it. Once they were done in the afternoon and after cleaning up theirself, they usually gathered in the dining hall for afternoon tea waiting the sun to set for dinner. As usual , they complained about how sore their whole body after a full day cleaning job. But they shut it all when the infamous captain entered the hall and all of them greeted him

"Good afternoon, heichou ! the tea just served" It was the only girl on the squad who greeted him with a bright smile on her face. As usual the captain only replied her by a hum with such a bored expression before sitting down to take a sip of his black tea. Her tea was perfect like usual.

"By the way where is Eld ?" Levi asked the other

"Ah he went to check on the mailbox before coming here he said" Gunther replied

"What he expect? Letter from his mom? Heh, such a brat" Auruo teased but his shoulder quickly hit by petra's elbow

"Hey, i remember that your mom is way more worrywrat, your mailbox pilled more often even than me" She sounded irritated

"Heh, it's because im awesome and those are complimentary letters from my whole big family ha ha" and he got another hit

"It must be from his fiancee, Luna guys" Gunther added

For some reason somehow the rest of the squad sometimes keeps forgetting that Eld is the only one who is in relationship, well finace to be precise. And Petra stopped her rambling with Auruo and all of them sit quietly waiting for eld to enter the room with a bang of the door opened hard which he did just when petra sipped her tea.

"Guysssss I have some important newssss !!!" The blonde with knotted haird shouted

"Gezz Eld fucking knock first" The captain growled at the loud sound.

"I'm sorry captain..But here guys" He approached each every one of the squad one by one and handed them some kind of letter

"What is th- .. oh....." Petra asked

"That's right you are all invited to...., MY WEDDING !!!!!! IM GETTING MARRIEEEDDDDD !!!!! " He shouted proudly

"UWWOOOOOOOAAAHHHH!!!" Gunther joined him and gave him a big hug, followed by Auruo, the boys shouted all together in excitement congratulating the man.

"Congratulation Eld !!!" Petra clapped her hand joined the cheer

The captain calmly put his teacup on the table wait for the boys to calm down before congratulating him with a kinder tone.

"Thanks captain"

"So it's next week ? Wow you never mentioned anything before about your marriage Eld" Gunther said

"How you managed to prepare everything though for your wedding, I don't recall you slacking off from military training though" Petra asked curiously

"Well I got a lucky woman, Luna actually prepared most of it with her family and my family too, so.. Whenever I got time to the town I always help anything i can even for short time..."Eld explained

"That's why you always the one who late to come back to the HQ when we hit the town damnit!" Auruo cursed him

"Hahaha sorry sorry guys.. I just want to make sure she is alright with it and i just don't want you guys to worry over me, well i guess you guys realize why i haven't been that concentrated at training..."

"HA ! SO THAT'S WHY , your wedding got over your mind this whole week! Your training is shitty this whole week!" Auruo cutted off trying to sounded like their captain

"....yeah i can't deny that..sorry sorry...heichou I'm sorry" The tall blonde one apologized deeply

The captain just stared at them boredly before changing his gaze to the apologized man

"It's fine since you gave us your reason.. Go sit already" He replied with monotonous tone

And the conversation goes about his wedding preparation mostly.

"Come to think about it, you never mentioned how you proposed her anyway Eld" Petra asked with wide eyes full of excitement

"Yeah you did same thing like today! banging on the door with a new ring on your finger out of nowhere and blabbered about it the whole night right on this table!" Auruo sound annoyed.

"You are just jealous" Gunther teased him replied by his annoyed smug face

"Ahahahaha ,, well I asked her to marry me last month when we hit the town"

"See ? He did it again behind us!" Auruo cutted him off

"Oh shut up already" Petra shutted his mouth with her hand with force "Continue Eld"

"...So,, I simply brought her to our favorite restaurant for dinner after a stroll before around the town, and then i asked her, as simple as that, nothing too special"

"Well that's a bummer" Gunther commented

"you must have done 'something' before that to get her saying 'yes'" Auruo squinted his eyes examined him

"Oh that's after the 'yes' at the night" Eld smiled widely

Everyone went silent

"Pffftttttt....HAHAHAHA..you guys so funny..hahaha Hurry up to find yours guys" Eld laughed hysterically

"Just wait for me okay ?!! I'LL FOLLOW YOU NO LONGER AFTER..!!" Auruo went furious

"With who ? Petra seems okay" Eld teased

"EXCUSE MEEE ?!?!?!?!?" Petra get off from her chair, she snapped too ready to punch his face

"Gezz calm down guys... this man is getting married next week, you guys want to give him a gash on his face ?" Gunther asked calmly

"YESSSSSSSS !!!!!" Both Auruo and Petra rant

And all of them argued after that. The captain found it not a surprise as he continued to sip his tea watching his subordinate fight in argument. He was too tired to scold them anyway.

"I'm leaving then" The captain finally spoke cutting off their fight

"Ah, ! We are sorry heichou ...." Petra apologized and picked up his empty cup.

"Anyway Eld, you will get a full week permission from all military activities three days before your wedding , four after your wedding. I'll go tell Erwin tomorrow." He said before exiting the door

"Really ? Thankyou heichou ! You are the best !!!"

"Also the rest of you can get a day off the day before his wedding..you might want to prepare yourself..anything..really.."

"Thankyou !!!" Auruo , Gunther, adn Petra thanked him

"Wait.. are you coming to my wedding Heichou..?" Eld carefully asked

"I will...but in one condition"

"What is it heichou?" Petra asked

"Stop your stupid argument here and cleaned this mess already, I need some fresh air from your stupidness brats, Call me again when dinner is ready" Then he exited the hall.

"Yes sir!"

Their dinner was full with marriage preparation conversation that's not surprising at all. The captain kinda sick of hearing it but he simply didn't want to be rude to Eld. But what surprised him the most is how Petra, the only girl in the squad seems to look forward the event so much and gave Eld many insights and instructions for the celebration. She claimed herself good at arranging a wedding party since she had been involved with many of her big family cousins weddings in northen Rose. And it was shown at how she gave comments and ideas to Eld. It looked like she was planning her own wedding though and It fascinated him. And he enjoyed their conversation at last.

Other than that, they discussed about what kind of clothes they should wear, where will they sit, what are the events of the party, what's the cake, which church , who is the priest, Who are invited from the scouting legion, pretty standard. Yet he realized that he couldn't take his gaze off from the excited woman across his chair. Although he was good at hiding it.

The day of Eld's wedding finally came. At the end only Levi came as the representative of the higher ups from the scouting legion plus Eld's captain since the other higher ups kind of busy to prepare the next expedition. So he felt a bit uncomfortable with no one to talk with. Not until his squad member finally showed up on the church. Eld reserved his squad on front spot of the church, that's why he was a bit anxious of the empty chairs besides him. He wore a simple black suit with white shirt and his usual cravat. Auruo wore a creme color suit while Gunther wore black just like him. He realized that Petra hadn't showed up yet.

"Oh perhaps she is a bit late getting herself dressed properly haha" Gunther said

"Gezz woman" Auruo cursed

It just made him curious even more wondering about how Petra would look like, to be honest he never seen her in a fancy clothing or anything near aside from her casual attire and uniform Not even on her day off around the town when they did some groceries for supplies.

The petite woman finally showed up right before the wedding started just on time. She slowly walked to the front line passing many people who already packed the entire church.

"Sorry..Im late.. I had some trouble of finding my shoes..." She apologized to her squad and realize that they were gazing way too long at her

"..what..?" She wondered

"You're so pretty Petra, you are one step to become my wife !" Auruo blurted it all in just one second

"What did you say ?!" Her expression changed , Gunther quickly closed Auruo's mouth to prevent any further fight.

"SSSSHHHHhhh Guys, Behave! , Petra you can sit right next to Heichou then, and by the way you look gorgeous Petra." Gunther changed his seat allowed her not to sit next to Auruo.

"Thankyou Gunther" She smiled sarcasticly at them that they both know it was her killer smile.

How could they not calling her pretty, She wore a mid lenght asymetrical white dress with a small bow around the waist area. The front of the dress revealed down from her knees while the back of the dress was toes lenght. Not only her calf which were revealed but also her bare shoulders up down until her chest that somehow showed a bit of her breasts. Levi did ocassionaly gaze at her breast on training, he is still a man after all but this time he couldn't help himself to stare at it more for a mere seconds and actualy surprised that it looks bigger than the usual in uniform. Although her dress looked fine, she didn't wear too much make up on her face to keep her innocent look. Simply enough soft pink lipstick and soft dark eyeshadows on her eyes. Unlike many woman in wall Sina. And she didn't style her hair differently.

Levi was sure that he gulped down his own saliva when he saw her and felt even more uncomfortable with the idea of sitting right next to her. His chest tightens for some strange reason.

"You looked fine, Heichou" She greeted him before sitting next to him giving her best smile at him

"You look....fine..too.." He quickly changed his gaze down feeling a bit embarassed from staring at her for too long before and For some reason Petra felt happy too behind her embarassment.

He didn't dare to talk any more than that since the ceremony started right after that. Neither did Petra

The ceremony went well, Eld and Luna exchanged rings and vows pretty well before they kissed. Eld looked so matured while the bride looked so beautiful. Petra couldn't take her eyes off from them as They looked perfect for each other and Levi realized it, But for some reason her gaze turned into a sad gaze and he kinda understand her. Nevertheless, Everyone was happy for the new couple as the celebration continued on a small building next to the chruch where the actual party began.

All of them congratulate Eld and his new wife Luna, The bride was surprised at the Humanity's Strongest attendance and so with the other guests. But Levi simply asked the guest not to mind him at all. As usual Gunther drank all the boozes and danced with some random girls he met at the party, Auruo didn't want to lose and did the same. Meanwhile Petra simply enjoyed the wedding cake in the corner feeling a bit blue. Levi realized her odd gesture since the beginning of the ceremony and tried to approach her.

"Why don't you dance ? The boys seems to enjoyed themself already, I heard from the boys that you are a good dancer yourself.." He startled her.

"Ah..I don't feel like to dance..the cake is delicious anyway , you should try" She tried to change the subject.

"I don't like sweets..so no thanks" He politely rejected her

"Is that so..." For some reason he didn't know, She stopped eating the cake and put the plate on the table next to her as she turned her back on him and stayed like that for some seconds gazing down.

The music suddenly went slow as everyone began to dance waltz. Realizing that the strawberry blonde one went gloomy for sudden, He approached her and pulled her arms to the dance floor

"Wh..what..are you...?" She couldn't resist his strong grip on her arm.

He put his hand behind her waist and on other on her arm, He guided her hand on his back and began to dance slow. At first Petra resisted so much at his sudden move.

"Just dance. I know you are good at it, Ral" He commanded her

She felt her face went red and warm at the sudden action. Never in her life had she imagined to dance with the Humanity Strongest ever. More over she was surprised that He could even dance. Finally she stopped resisting and followed his lead. Auruo must be so jealous of her but he was too drunk to even realize her presence.

"I didn't know you can dance...you never dance at military balls..."

"Because it's military balls, everyone might judge me"

"...Really...?"

"..hm.. There are just so many things you don't know about me.." for some reason he finally managed to make her smile again

"We all are..." She laughed softly

"I can't stand looking at your gloomy face, it annoys me" He stared at her close, dead serious

Petra burst out a laugh before commenting at his statement

"You looked gloomy all the time that it annoys us , heichou hahaha..."

"But I'm always like that so it shouldn't matter" He replied stoicly

"..good point..hehehe" She laughed nervously

"But you don't.." He stared at her deeply

Somehow they stopped dancing after his reply the music also stopped.They remained close, eye level and stared at each other. Petra could hear her own heartbeat on her ears as she froze on spot feeling her face getting redder. Surprisingly , Levi almost felt the same.

"Attention everyone !!!" Eld suddenly make an annoucement from the small stage in front.

Both Petra and Levi released themself feeling embarassed and turned their gaze away and gaze at Eld from far.

"I would like to thank all of you again for celebrating our marriage today and now the bride will throw the bouquet for one lucky person and hope that he or she would have some luck in the future to meet or marry the destined love of their life" Eld announced

Then bride turned her back ready to throw the bouquet,

"1.....2.........3 !!"

The bouquet flied far to the back and landed on Petra's head before fell right on her hand and left her dumbfounded. Eld smirked at the fact that Petra surprisingly got the bouquet right next to the captain. And everbody went silent.

"Looks like the young woman there will got luckly in the future, any words milady?" Eld asked from far

The other guests stared at Petra and so did Levi. She was left speechless

"Ah... I...I...." She felt dizzy all of sudden with all the eyes on her and she felt slight pain on her chest as she suddenly felt blue.

No one expected her next action. She dropped the bouquet and ran herself out from the building panting. Levi quickly followed her outside.

He lost her because she did ran fast out of nowhere. But after some couple minutes of searching around the town , He finally found her in a small square where she sat near the fountain covering her face.

The afternoon sun somehow made her dress glowed even from afar as he found her kinda look angelic there. He carefully approached her and sat right next to her. He waited for her to talk.

"I must have freaked everyone..." She finally put her palm back on her side, revealing her face filled with a hint of anger and sadness at the same time while she gazed up to the sky.

The raven haired man simply observed her from the side. He knew that she was kinda furious and she didn't tell him to go away, so he make sure that someone would listen to her.

"I...I never told this before to anyone else.... but..ever since i got into the scouting legion...I've make everyone in the family furious at me...but after couple of expeditions... they began to ask me about marriage for countless time... Even my dad keep trying to matchmaking me with somebody else in the town....I'm so sick of it up until the moment that i found out that marriage is stupid but they keep asking me to help on my cousins wedding.. Taking care of their child...talking about parenthood like always in front of me...always....always..." She covered herself again.

He tried to understand her, but he realize that there is no way he could understand her. He got no family either, and he wasn't a woman at the first place.

"But today...after i saw Eld...being so happy like that..and actually the same , a soldier like me to have that kind of happiness...It kinda make me believe again...but it just..it just impossible for me.."

"Why you think so..? If Eld can, then so can you" Levi finally spoke calmly, she went silent for a second.

"The thought of leaving the person you love is just....i can't...i can't do that..."

"But Eld decided to take that risk to be happier .. am I wrong..? " He carefully asked her

"No..."

"You are a woman after all..."

"No you are wrong...I am a soldier before a woman , so.. there is no way.."

"Eld is a soldier too"

"But his wife isn't..."

"Then you should find a guy outside the military if that's what you looking for.."

She went silent for a second

"....but.."

"But what? who knows when will you die right..? If the idea of having someone with the same job like you bothers you so much that might affect your performance outside the walls like the previous talk you ever had with me about this matter (**Reffering to "Forget Me Not" one shot Conversation), then find the right man who don't go outside the goddamn wall...!"

He raised his voice that left her shocked.

"Petra.. you told me that remember? It was obvious that you lied that day. You said that you don't want to get married but today your actions looks all different. It annoys me really, How can I expect you to perform well if you are an enigma like this..So, are you denying yourself that you don't want to get married someday now...?"

"No..."

"......you regret being in the military just now then?"

"Oh god ofcourse no!.. It's...not that...actualy....it wasn't the real reason I....."

"Oh so you lied about your whole reason then ?" He felt irritated

She gritted her teeth, clenching her grip. Both of them went silent. Her heart couldn't handle the pain she felt from those words anymore, especially when it comes from him. Her true feelings.. Why she have kept it that way so long..her whole reason.. She just couldn't say such things like that, not to him. Her captain in the first place.

But at the same time she wanted to confirm his feelings. Just once.

"Did you lie to yourself that day then...?" She suddenly asked him and he froze. Their eyes met at last.

He froze because he know deep down he lied that day too.. 

.

His eyes slightly went wider  looking at her dead in his track. He swallowed every words he wanted to say further. His mind went blank thinking of the right answer for that.

.

"You know what.. Heichou...you don't need to answer it... just.. please don't talk about this matter anymore.. I'm begging you... I'm sick of it.... just leave it..I don't need your help at this matter...i really don't...." She began to stand up, and He knew that he just made her angrier deep down.

Suddenly a ball flung by in the air that hit Petra right on her face at such a force that caused her to fall backwards right into the big fountain behind her. It was too fast that even Levi couldn't comprehend what happened.

*SPLASSSH*

Her whole body soaked into the the pool of the fountain, She threw away the ball which came from a bunch of children around the pavement as they began to run away from the sight. Levi didn't manage to yell to any of them since Petra's was way more important than those brats.

"Petra...you alright...?" He asked her only to be replied by her cries in agony. She covered her face with her palm, still soaked inside the water.

Levi grabbed her arm and strongly pulled her back to the surface

".....I'm...so...pa..pathe..tic..." She grunted between her cries. Now he knew that her cries didn't came from the ball that smacked her face earlier, but at her whole self especially after their conversation before.

"Let me see your face..that ball hit you hard.." He forced her palm to let go and she finally gave up. Revealing the red gash on her whole face, especially her cheeks from the earlier impact. Luckyly no blood or cracking nose bone whatsoever. She kept closing her eyes trying her best not to cry too loud infront of him and he couldn't tell which one was her tears and the water from the fountain earlier. But her shoulder still shaken up pretty bad.

He realized that her make up somehow began to wear off especially her eyeshadow that created a not so nice dark color arround her eyes anymore. He took his handkerchied to wipe it away. But her hand stopped him realizing what happened with her eyes. She squinted her eyes more.

"Don't look...I must be looked ugly right now....."

"That's why i'm going to clean it up for you..tch.." she finally let him

He found it a bit hard to wipe those eyeshadows and needed longer time than he had expected. Until he didn't realize that she finally stopped crying. Her eyes finally cleaned by him although not entirely but still better than before. Her warm hazel eyes finally opened right infront of him but quickly turned her gaze down and so he did.

But what coming up next was the fact that now her whole body soaked wet and somehow the white dress she wore that day now became see through from the water revealing the curve of her body and more importantly..Her breasts. He quickly turned his gaze up again away from her and hide his embarassment. Noticed her captain's strange reaction she gaze further down at herself and realize the reason

"Ahh..no..!" She quickly covered her breast with both of her arm and turned her back from him

Levi being a gentleman and quickly tuck off his jacket and gave it to her but he didn't dare to look at her any further. She accepted it and quickly wore it and buttoned the jacket although its way big on her body. The man might be just 2 cm taller than her, but he got a broad shoulder she never expected before. Not only she found out that her dress soaked, she also found out that it was a bit torned at the back.

"thankyou...." She finally turned herself facing him again. He also did. But she quickly stood up again ready herself to run away from him when her heel of her right shoe just came off broken causing her to almost fall. She was upset enough about everything and now her shoes just sum it all. She was sure that she could hear her own curses inside her brain, if not the captain right behind her, she swore that she would already rant like a madwoman right now. She grunted in agony again.

Realizing that he went too far before, The captain suddenly pulled her back again to sit again but now he was the one who stood right away and kneeled infront of her. What she didn't expect was the captain took off his own shoes and took her foot to use his shoes instead of her broken heels leaving him only on his socks. His shoes were way a lot bigger on her foot than she expected. Now she learned that not only he has a broad shoulder, but also a big foot for his height. He tied the shoelace carefully so she could atleast walk with it.

She was too tired to complain any further and just followed his lead. They didn't say any words after that. She felt broken already, and Levi knew she already was.

He grabbed her wrist implying to follow his lead. She resisted a while at the sight o fher captain not wearing any shoes and let his socks on dirt. He must have felt filthy , she thought. However she couldn't let any words outside her throat as she kept holding on her tears.

Levi dragged her to the main road where everybody stared at both of them in amusement. She felt terrible and embarassed, but somehow Levi didn't bother at all as he kept his cold gaze along the road still not letting go of her hand, afraid that she might try to runaway from him again.

They went inside a cloth store for women and he dragged her to sit on the nearby stool and gave her a tower from the store. The shopkeeper stared at her since she was indeed in a mess with soaked dress and hair, not to mention the jacket and shoes that belonged to the man who brought her there. He left her there and began to look for some clothes on the display. She kept her gaze down feeling way more embarassed.

He came back to her with 3 new dresses on his hand and seemed to try imagining it one by one with her posture and face. He came to his decision to pick up the nice soft pink summer dress and handed it over to her. He kept silent, waiting for her to mover her way to the dressing room to try it. Couldn't handle any more pressure from him, she finally did try the dress.

She went out from the dressing room and brought her old dress and his jacket on her arm, slowly revealing herself to the man who sat on the stool she used to sit before. The dress fitted her body perfectly, it was another knee lenght summer dress that she likes to wear on their day off. Levi stood up again and pulled her gently asking her to sit again and brought her a new pair of shoes with a short heels on it. He kneeled down infront of her and took off his shoes from her foot and began to put the new one on her. He managed to check on her shoe size earlier on the fountain before leaving it just right there. And again it fitted her feet very well. She was amazed at how he seemed to be skillfull at shopping and found the best look for her. After that, he wore his own shoes again.

She was about to put her hand on his head but stopped when he said something to her

"I'm sorry that i can only buy this kind of dress for you.."

This kind of dress...? what do you mean...?

.

.

Then he stood up fast enough not letting her to touch him although he didn't realize her action before and headed to the cashier. He asked for the price and straightly paid for it. He didn't forget to ask for a bag to put her wet dress. While he wear his jacket once again even though it was a bit wet from Petra's body earlier.

.

She wanted to say something...but still it just couldn't get pass from her chest.

.

.

.

He brought her to a small restaurant as the sky getting darker, and ordered himself a cream soup while he ordered her a mushroom soup, her most favorite soup. When the soup arrived he dig on it first didn't wait for the woman since he was sure that she would stay still like that for long moment. He tried to look at her pained face but turned it down again to his soup calmly enjoyed himself.

When he was halfway to empty his soup, she finally held the spoon and began to eat it. And somehow she began to tear up pretty bad while trying to eat it.

"I'm sorry......I'm sorry....I'm sorry.........Heichou.." 

Those are the words she kept saying again and again between their dine and her tears finally fell out again. To be honest it pained him so much watching her cry.

He wondered at himself, why he did go for such a lenght for her. And he could never understand her, He knew he won't but that didn't mean he wouldn't stop trying to.

"Just eat..." He calmly replied.

.

He walked her home after their dinner together. And for some reason when they both arrived, the tension between them just raised again. It was sickening to him, he couldn't comprehend why he felt that way.

"Thankyou...for everything...I'm sorry i acted like a bitch...before.." She kept her gaze down even though she was facing him

He didn't expect her to use a word "bitch" to describe herself that awfull. But he remained silent

"I guess.. I'll take your advice earlier...I'll try to find the right man inside this wall..and think about marriage someday and stop being an enigma like this......"

Lie

He felt like countless needle just stucked on his chest right at that moment

.

"I hope you will....." His voice went hoarsed so sudden

.

"Thankyou...I'll see you tomorrow in the HQ again...Heichou...." She asked for permission to him and he only replied her by a hum

.

"Heichou.."

.

"Captain.."

.

.

"Soldier.."

.

.

He felt his chest tightens from every step she took away from him.

.

Lie...Lie...LIE.....LIE......LIEEE...!

He finally grabbed her wrist and turned her around one eighty degree to face him again and quickly crashed his lips on hers while pulling her body closer. Her eyes went wide at the sudden sensation. She tried to push him away but he didn't let her to.

He didn't wait any longer to deepened their kiss as she finally given up herself to him. Her legs got wobbly all of sudden but Levi managed to hold her to keep on her toes not breaking the kiss. It was an intense kiss and both finally released them self gasping for air. Their eyes finally met again. They could felt each other breath, the weather outside was cold but they didn't feel cold at all.

"I lied..to myself this whole time....." The raven haired man finally admitted himself. He stared at her deeply while collecting some air inside his lungs.

"Petra...did you? "

The woman look at him and finally smiled sincerely at his words.It took her a couple of seconds before she returned the kiss again and managed to say ..

"I also did...."

.

.

And now he understood her real reason.

Because she had fallen for him way long before he realized

And that thought always bothered her no matter how hard she tried to hide it around him.

And he simply wished

That there would be no more lies around them again, never to lie on himself again.. he promised her that. And she did the same.

But he broke that promise

When he saw her dead body thrown off to the ground..

Saying that it would be the best for all..

When it actually didn't.

Epilogue:
