Johns POV: 

I walk to class confused. Why does Peggy wanna change all of a sudden? She's perfect but never realizes it. Later in class, we go over a review for the test. I sit behind my friend Alex, I met him in third grade so I basically grew with him. I take out my sketchbook making it look like I was taking notes but I really wasn't. I decided to draw a rose it reminded me of Peggy she was like a yellow rose different and blooming. Ugh, I don't know why I say this stuff. She's only my friend. I almost finish the drawing it came out pretty nice. It just needed some shading. The bell rings and I quickly grab my stuff. I didn't hear one thing going on in the lesson. 

 My friends were being stupid like usual. I snicker at the sight of another weekly fight between Alex and Thomas at the debate team. The next person I was up against Charles Lee he had a loud mouth everything he said was complete bias. After the debate, I waited for the results. No doubt my team one though. It was finally lunch I sat down at my usual table with Alex, Hercules, Lafayette, and Aaron Burr sir. (Yes I had to shush) My focus turns to Peggy I never noticed her curls they make her look angelic. I feel a sudden smack to my head. "Someone likes Peggy," Alex says smirking. "No, I was just," I look for an excuse. I catch a poster nearby. "I was looking at the science fair poster. "Yeah, mon ami cause your gonna win some noble prize," Laf says sarcastically. "No, I don't like she's just a friend. I wouldn't think of her as more!"  I say defensively. "Those girls on the other hand," I point at a group of girls I never played attention to. I regret what I said right away, I should have kept my voice down. I see Peggy run out of the room. Shoot!  The only girl I actually liked.

Peggy's POV (Rewind):

I sat alone but Maria came and joined me. "Why would you want to sit here?" I question as she places her lunch tray. "Just like you said yesterday, it's just us girls anyway right? Cute makeup by the way!" She noticed. I was almost ecstatic.  I and Maria have a long conversation on random topics. Just like Angelica and Eliza do. Maria gives me a grin. "I think somebody's looking at you." I turn around and see nobody, well I see John being smacked in the head but that's normal. "Maria you sure about that." She giggles, "yeah I'm sure." I heard a voice behind me. "No, I don't like she's just a friend. I wouldn't think of her as more!" It was John I hoped he wasn't talking about me but he was.  He points at one of the prettiest groups of girls in school. Then I realize if he doesn't think I'm good enough to consider to like. Then my sisters were probably right. "I'm sorry Maria I got to go," I say running out of the room. I never wanted to see them again. I lock myself in a stall. Maria chases after me, "Peggy come out." I don't know why she cared she just met me. Just as I was trusting her I got another reason not to. "Peggy, please tell me what's wrong," she begged. I practically left her hanging hoping she would leave. "Peggy, I'm not leaving you here. You the first I ever made so I'm not leaving you in here." I don't unlock the stall, I do!n't cry, I don't do anything. I don't know what Maria wants from me but she needs to ask soon cause I'm better off alone. Maria eventually leaves for class I don't go. I do unlock the stall. Angelica walks into the bathroom I decide it's better to go to class than be with her. "Margarita," I hated when she called me that. 

Time past-

After school I sat on a bench in the park it was the only place where I could stay calm. It was like my safe haven. Someone sat next to me but I didn't know because I didn't lookup. "Can we talk?" It was a voice that I had known all too well, John. "What do you want," I say moving away. "I'm sorry." He says I act like I don't know what he means. "I know we're just friends but you didn't have to say it like that. I already know that about myself I didn't you to say it." "I love you, Peggy!" He blurts out. "What?" I was speechless and suddenly I kiss him, What the heck is happening?
