The lights are bright. Everyone seems to be talking over each other. All I can focus on are the people standing outside the windows of the studio. I stand behind one of the cameras where they can't see me. The girls in the front hold up signs that make my heart jump with love. They've been waiting for this album for years.

One of the men with a clipboard beside me warns everyone about the minute mark until they're live. The hosts of the morning show rush over to their desk while an assistant walks me over to thhe other table set just for me and one of the hosts. The band is already finished setting up for the performance later on. I look over to the crowds of fans outside already screaming.

" Five... four...three..." the man behind the camera says before only signaling by his fingers. 

" Good Morning America!'" the hosts cheer.

" Today we have a very special guest that we can't wait to dive into everything everyone's been dying to know!" Lydia Ford says with a wide smile on her face.

" We would love to welcome Cailin Reed!" they cheer again.

The cameras turn towards me as I flash a smile towards them. Robyn Jet sits across from on her chair as she hands me a cup of tea, previously provided to her.

" Thank you" I say before pretending to take a sip.

" Let's start off with this amazing album releasing today called Daylight! It's already at number one!" she says holding my album in her hands.

" It's definitely unbelievable that after so many years of not releasing anything that I would still have this much support" I admit.

" Well the fans standing outside say otherwise" Robyn smalls as she point to the crowd of people screaming outside.

" It's still surprises me every day no matter what" I say.

" And what made you take such a long break?" she asks.

" I needed some time to myself away from the scrutiny that I went through during the beginning of my career. Having my daughter made it an easier decision to step away from it for a while" I tell her.

" What was that time like?"

" It was truly eye opening" I say. " I was able to learn different sides of myself that I don't think I would have ever learned if not that time isolated. I was able to write and make music that I never planned on releasing so it became so personal, raw, and true to myself. I think this album speaks to that person I became seperated from all the craziness I was used back then."

" Does that mean you're a different person now that you're back in the spotlight?"

" Yeah" I admit with a smiling shrug. " It's the moments and people in our lives that changes us in different eras. I was actualy talking about this with some friends that I could release a whole new album next week and it be completely different than what I'm releasing today."

" Can I assume that it has to do with the announcement that was made a couple of days ago?" Robyn asks with nervous eyes.

" Everything's connected" I say.

" So the announcement" she brings back to the juicy story they really want to tell. " Harry Styles posted about his...children, and that included your daughter Roy."

" Yes" I smile.

" It was never publicly announced before that he was her father, neither has he ever talked about her. Does that mean that he wasn't a part of her life before?" Robyn asks.

" I think that those details are private between us, and that includes Lia and Kian. Somehow we're all a part of this big confusing family" I laugh.

" Family. That's a beautiful word to use" she says.

" Because we are. These kids are a part of a blended family including amazing aunts and uncles that have alway been a part of their lives" I say. " And I speak only for Roy but the relationship that she has with her brother is magical."

" What about the relationship between you and Harry? I know that you are engaged to a photographer and Harry is going through a divorce. How are you two co-parenting during such major events in each other's lives?" Robyn asks.

" The media scrutinized our lives so much years ago, details of our relationship that became public and shouldn't have. We leaned on each other in those moments. There's a lot about our growing relationship that no one knows about. We started off as bandmates who hated each other, then fell in love, broke each other's hearts, made a beautiful child together, and now are focusing creating a friendship that our daughter can be proud of" I explain to the interviewer.

" I'm sure she will be" Robyn smiles.

She turns to the camera, placing her her talking points on her lap.

" When we come back, Cailin Reed will perform her latest single 'Delicate'" she says before the cameras pan away.

I stand up from the chair and watch as the set designers rearrange the furniture to move out of the way.

" You held yourself really well" Liam says beside me.

" Thanks" I say as I take the coffee cup he hands me.

Liam's assistant runs over next to him hold a bouquet of white roses. I freeze with a heavy chest knowing exactly who those are from.

" This was just delivered for you Cailin" the girl says with a nervous tone. She's still new, still nervous.

I reach over to grab the card sitting inbetween some of the roses.

He uses my own lyrics against me. It's also a moment annoyance but then I understand. He's felt those feelings as well, but were never able to put them into words. Just like I connected with his songs in my own way.

" I made the right decision, right?" I ask Liam.

Liam look up from his phone then turning to me.

" What do you mean?" he asks.

" Having Harry in Roy's life, in my life again" I say as I look down at the note in my hands.

Liam is silent for longer than I expect, longer than I hoped.

" I can't give you that answer, Cai" Liam admits.

I grip onto the note tighter.

" I know" I whisper.

After thinking about it for a long time, I think that Cailin's sound would be very similar to Taylor Swift, and I hope that you guys would agree!
