Chaeyoung drew her breath deeply, closing her eyes before she walked into a small club, there weren't a lot of people in there and that made her glad. It would be easier to spot him. Her eyes looked around the entire space, teeth biting her lip nervously hoping that he would be there. But no, he wasn't. At least not where she could see him. Perhaps, he was at the restroom. She hoped so.

Quickly, she approached the bartender who seemed to be so into his phone since there was no one sitting at the bar to order some drink. "Excuse me?" she politely greeted him and he looked up, lifting his brow at her and asked if she needed any help. "Yes. I'm looking for..." she hesitated for a while and eventually took out her phone from her pocket, sliding her thumb aggressively as she chased for time. The device was brought to life, and in the homescreen of her phone was of a photo of Jungkook. "Do you happen to see this guy around here today?"

The bartender leaned forward and Chaeyoung held her breath in anticipation. The man narrowed his eyes slightly before pulling back calmly with a slight nod of his head. "Yeah, he was here."

She exhaled her breath like she had been holding it for an eternity, truly relieved upon that information.

"He left like an hour ago, I think." He looked at his wristwatch and pursed his lips. "Maybe less than an hour ago, I'm not sure."

"Do you know where he went to?"

"No, I don't," he said, slightly furrowing his brows as his lips pulled a small smirk, as though that was the stupidest question to ask.

Chaeyoung had no time to think a lot about that reaction as she bowed and said her thanks quickly, rushing towards her car. Where could he go? Could it be that he was at Yoongi's workshop? Feeling like her brain couldn't work fast anymore, she dialed Hoseok's number again and waited anxiously.

"Yes, Chaeyoung."

"Have you found him yet?"

"No, he's not with Yoongi. I went to the workshop and he's not there."

Chaeyoung leaned her head against the headrest, heaving a sigh as she curled her fingers around the steering wheel. "Do you know any place he'd go?"

"I honestly don't know. Maybe...maybe he went home. You should go back and check on him if he's back home or not. It's already late and –"

"And I haven't found him," she breathed, all the bad things that could have happened to him playing on her mind.

Hoseok was silent before he responded. "I know," Hoseok said, his voice was gentle, comforting her slightly. "I'll keep on looking but for now, you should just head back home. I'll inform you if I found him. Yoongi is searching for him too. He's never done this before, and we're worried too. Go home safely, okay?"

Her grip tightened on her phone when Hoseok told her that this was the first time Jungkook had acted out like this. Again, she tried to tell herself that he'd be okay, nothing bad would happen to him but she couldn't. Slowly, she nodded as though Hoseok could see her through the phone, swallowing hard as she muttered a soft 'okay'.

Taking another deep breath, she revved the engine and sped away from the spot, hoping that he would be back safely in his home. Even then, as she was on her way home, her eyes couldn't stay focus as she let them wander from left to right, trying to see if Jungkook was anywhere around the area she was in.

It was at the bridge that she saw a figure so familiar that her eyes widened and she instantly looked for the nearest free space to park her car. When she went out of her car, she studied the man from far, his messy hair, his slightly crumpled shirt, the way he was walking and she narrowed her eyes a little more, and there was a voice in her that told her he was indeed Jeon Jungkook.

Chaeyoung walked fast and eventually running, and the closer she got to him, the better the view she got of him. The sleeves of his crisp white shirt had been rolled up, revealing even his elbows and when she saw the scar on his arm, she sighed in relief. That just confirmed the identity of him. She ran faster and grabbed his shoulder to turn him around.

Jungkook's body swayed, almost falling but she quickly put her arms around his waist, hugging him and steadying him at the same time. "Idiot," she muttered softly with her forehead resting on his shoulder and she actually knew that he couldn't hear at all. She turned her face so her mouth was covered by his shoulder. With muffled voice, tightly closed eyes and her fingers clutching onto his shirt so desperately, she said, "You're a total idiot." She wanted to curse at him out loud and tell him how stupid he was to make her worry so much. She wanted to slap him so his sobriety would come back.

She felt his hands holding her arms, pushing her away and she did let him. She looked up at him with concern in her eyes as he stared down at her with a confused look.

"Who are you?" he asked as he tried to keep his eyes opened wide.

She knitted her brows, fingers clutching around the fabric of his already crumpled shirt even tighter that she might tore it off. "Who am I?" she asked and scoffed next. "For your information, I'm Park Chaeyoung."

Jungkook gave her a long look before he snorted and tried to wriggle away from her touch, forcefully pushing her body away so that she was completely off of him. "You're not her," he said, voice dropped in octave. "Don't pretend to be her."

He started to walk away from her and she trailed behind him. "Why do you think so?"

"Because," he paused briefly and her heart sank at the reply, "she has... better things to do." His voice seemed to mirror the wound he had within him.

The words that she wanted to say next were gulped down in an instant as she felt her chest tightened when she knew how he was feeling and what he had been thinking of. "You're so drunk. Let's get you home, Kookie."

Her body stiffened when she realized what she had just blurted out.

Jungkook stopped moving, and turned around to look at her. The question he asked next made her want to laugh. "Are you and Chaeyoung... twins?" he chuckled, threw his head up that he almost fell to the back, and she immediately gripped his arm with both hands, "I guess you knew it from her... that she –that she called me that. I love that name, honestly."

She was thankful that it wasn't quite difficult to bring him to her car although the both of them almost fell to the ground when he accidentally stepped on his own foot. After he was seated and she put the seatbelt on for him, she stood up straight and let out a deep sigh with her eyes closed. She rounded the car and quickly seated herself, getting ready to drive away.

"Hey, where are you taking me?" he asked, trying to unbuckle the seatbelt but she slapped his hand and he was startled.

"I'm taking you home, Jungkook." She looked away when she realized that he was staring intently into her eyes.

Jungkook laughed, slouched down in his seat and from the corner of her eyes, she could see that he had turned his face away from her. "I know that your twin and I have..." he paused briefly before he continued, "sort of split up. But that's no excuse for me to let someone else jump into my life just like that."

"I don't have a twin," she said flatly as she tried to ignore that wild beating of her heart when she heard what Jungkook had just said.

"Then who are you?" He faced her again, leaning his face closer to hers and she quietly tried to swallow the lump as calm as she could. "Ah..." He leaned back, nodding his head. "You must be a love doctor. And I must be seeing things."

Her eyes blinked and slowly, a tiny smile managed to creep on her face as she turned to look at him. She let her hand that was holding the car key fall to her lap as well as the one that was on the steering wheel. "You're so ridiculous," she breathed, slowly recalling of one time when Jungkook had been drunk and he started to say things he never got to say along with saying very ridiculous stuff. He must have consumed a lot of alcohol to be this drunk. "Why am I a love doctor?"

"Because that's what I need right now," he stated. "Considering how I have completely fucked up my relationship with Chaeyoung. A love doctor is what I need. Right now. I've prayed for it. So since you're here, I guess my prayer has been answered."

Her smile fell as she watched him smiling in his seat. That wasn't a happy smile indeed. That kind of smile was the one that was always used almost every single time to mask the sadness in one's self. It took all her might not to touch his face and make him turn to look at her. But even if she would do that, Chaeyoung wasn't sure what she would do next.

"Aren't you supposed to give me advice, doc?" he asked when she pressed the gas pedal and moved the car away from that place, heading home.

"I don't have any."

"What kind of doctor are you that you don't have a single advice to give?" he scoffed next to her and she rolled her eyes.

"That' because I'm not one," she muttered lowly, just loud enough for her to listen and not him. Before Jungkook could say anything, Chaeyoung licked her lips, glanced at him briefly and said, "Maybe you can talk to me instead."

"Right," he chuckled. "If I tell you some stuff, you will promise not to tell Chaeyoung, won't you? Because this is confidential and you have to keep your mouth shut."

Allowing the tiny smile to appear on her face again, she nodded softly. "Of course." What would be so confidential that he refused to let her know, though? Was there a big secret?

"You see..." he began after a long silence that she thought he had lost himself to sleep. "All my life, I have never shed a tear for a woman. Until I met her."

She could feel her heart stopped beating against her chest. "What?" she breathed. "You...you cried? Why?"

Jungkook took a deep breath, exhaled heavily and responded, "Pathetic, isn't it? I've always thought that crying for someone else is fucking stupid. But then I cried. Because of her."

Although it was possible to happen, she found it hard to believe what he had just told her. Swallowing hard, it sparked some curiosity in her. "Did you ever cry for your ex-girlfriend?"

"Didn't I just tell you I cried because of Chaeyoung?"

"No," she shook her head. "The girl you dated before her."

The corner of his lips lifted slightly as he shook his head. "I was hurt but it didn't get me crying."

"So, why did you cry?" she pressed.

He laughed for a few moments. "I had this dream. Chaeyoung was wearing a beautiful wedding dress and I... I was watching her walking down the aisle. But she was walking farther away from me. And she was walking towards someone else, not me." He laughed out loud this time. "And that man was Kim fucking Taehyung."

She watched he curled his fingers into a fist on his lap, lightly punching his thigh as he said, "When I found out that that wasn't just a nightmare... that Taehyung was really going to marry her, and that she constantly tried to reject all my efforts on making it work for the both of us, I knew right there and then that I lost her for real. And nothing that I do could make it better for me."

She didn't even realize that she was driving above the speed limit, hitting break almost immediately when the red light flickered in her eyes and both of them jerked forward.

"Hey!" he whined, turning to face her.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry."

"I'm trying to pour my feelings here and you're so busy to get us into accidents?" He pressed his back against the backrest again, heaving a sigh before continuing. "I may have lost her...and it hurts like hell to know that she's never going to be someone I'd call 'mine' again, but the last thing I'd do is to kill myself because of that. I want to see her happy, even if it's going to hurt. I hope she'll invite me to the wedding." He let out a small chuckle and blew air through his mouth next. "But honestly, I don't know if I'll be able to witness that myself."

"What wedding are you talking about?" she asked, confused as she knitted her brows together and scoffed. "Nonsense."

"You know nothing!" he almost yelled, startling her. "If you don't believe me, you can ask her and her future husband."

She decided to stay silent next, trying to let him reveal the things he had in his mind. The only things she could hear, though, were incoherent words mumbled by him and she had to fight the urge to make him say those clearly. They reached home a few minutes later, and she groaned in frustration as she tried her best not to make him fall from getting out of the car to the steps they had to take to get to the elevator. Once inside, he practically leaned towards her when she pushed him into the wall. His head rested on her shoulder while his hands clumsily held onto her waist.

"You smell like Chaeyoung," he breathed and she felt her cheeks bloomed in heat when the breath of him caressed the skin of her neck. "Everything about you reminds me of her."

"We're here," she said quickly, trying to wriggle out of his hold while steadying him at the same time. She was grateful for the two elderly people who were outside; they helped her to block the door and gave her some words of encouragement as one of them helped her to support Jungkook until they reached the door to his house. "Thank you so much," she said to the man before he nodded and left.

"Jungkook," she called his name softly as she had one arm wrapped around his waist while his arm on her shoulder. Her other arm held on to his shoulder, trying to make him stand up straight even though that was a failure. "What's..." she gulped. "What's the password to your house?" she asked hesitantly.

He tried to open his eyes wider and narrowed them next. "Let me see..." he muttered. "If you know when Chaeyoung was born...then you'll –"

Her finger was very eager and curious as it immediately rose to press on the buttons. 1102.

The door was unlocked and she snapped her head to look at him. She chewed the inner side of her lip. He hadn't changed the password at all.

"I guess you're actually very close to her too," Jungkook chuckled as his steps wavered, trying to make his way towards the couch but she stopped him.

She dragged him towards his bedroom and carefully pushed him to the bed. He plopped onto it, the bed bouncing as it received his weight and she calmly took his shoes off.

"I love her, doc," he said it quietly but the quietness in the house made it all so clear to her ears. She had paused her movement when she heard that. "I love Chaeyoung so much. And I honestly don't know what I'd do without her."

Her eyes lowered, her breathing stopped momentarily and her heart did too before it pounded so loud her ears could hear the sound of it. His confessions weren't something new to her, but the way it sounded this time compared to all the other times made her feel so emotional she wanted to tear up. She sat on the bed next to him, and carefully untied the tie he had hanging around his neck.

Jungkook held onto her wrist and opened his eyes to look at her. "What do you think I should do? What do you think I should do if I have to live without her, doc?"

She tried to breathe out calmly, unable to think of anything else but him, him and him. "Are you seriously going to give up on her?" she asked curiously, trying not to make the disappointment sound so obvious even though he was totally drunk.

The corner of his lips pulled into a small smile. "I don't want to. But I guess I have to try."

"Why?" The bitterness in her voice was evident and she ignored the reminder in her head that she shouldn't have let it be.

"She's choosing someone else over me. Maybe... maybe Taehyung was once an asshole to her, but I bet he's a better person now than he was last time. Maybe..." he paused, swallowing hard. "Maybe they're just meant to be from the very beginning. And I'm just a life experience that appears very briefly in her life to teach her some lesson."

The tears that had welled up in her eyes were about to fall and she turned away from him, pulling her hand aggressively as she stood up to her feet, walking so quickly towards the door.

"Hey doc," he called out, and she stopped walking but didn't turn to face him. "Will you tell Park Chaeyoung that I'm really sorry about everything? And that I'm sincerely and deeply in love with her? I can never tell it to her face to face, because I'll never have the chance to do so anymore."

She stormed out of the room, slamming the door shut and felt her knees weakened as she immediately took a seat in the living room. She buried her face into her palms and let all the tears she had been holding up to fall. She didn't even know for how long, and only forcing herself to stop when she heard her phone rang in her pocket.

It was Hoseok and she wiped her wet face aggressively, sniffed for a few times, took a deep breath and cleared her throat. "Hello, Hoseok."

"Chaeyoung... we can't find him anywhere. Jungkook has never done this before. But I guess he's just drunk somewhere and maybe...maybe in the next morning, we can actually find him."

She blinked and remembered she hadn't informed them that she had found Jungkook. "Oh. Oh my god, I'm sorry. I...I found him. And I just got him back home. He's...uh...sleeping right now. I'm sorry I didn't inform you earlier."

"Really? Thank god," Hoseok sighed in relief and spoke to someone who was probably Yoongi. "It's okay. As long as he's home."

"Yeah...um..." she cleared her dry throat once more and said, "Could you check on him later? I've to go home now, and uh... it's late. I have some work to do tomorrow."

"Sure. Thanks, Chaeyoung. Yoongi and I are going to head there now. That kid needs to get some lesson." Hoseok chuckled from the other line.

But even so, she had stayed until both of Hoseok and Yoongi arrived. When the door opened, both men were surprised to see her there and she avoided their eyes as she made her way to the door to leave. Hoseok thanked her once again and stepped towards Jungkook's bedroom. Meanwhile Yoongi stared at her for a moment while walking past her. When she was at the main door, she heard him asked, "You didn't have to do it. Why did you?"

Because I still care. Gulping nervously, she kept her head low when she whirled around. Not meeting his eyes, she answered with a low voice, "I'm just... worried. That's all."
