Chapter 7
As I stated in the last chapter, I accidentally skipped a chapter... so, here's the next one that SHOULD HAVE been posted yesterday...

Soran
"I'm ready," I glanced over my shoulder, a small smirk forming on my lips. I turned and reached a hand out for her. Her smirk mirrored mine as she took my hand. I led her to the bed and gently laid her down. She gave a soft moan as I climbed up and hovered above her.
"Give it to me, Soran..." She purred as her hands cupped my shoulders. "I want it so bad..."
I leaned down so my lips were brushing against her ear. "Remember, after this, we won't meet up again."
"I understand..." She said as a small shiver raced down her spine. "Make it count..."
I chuckled. "Of course." After I made sure the condom was in place and secure, I slowly began to tease her, her eyes shutting almost instantly. Her nails dug in to my shoulders. Another chuckle pushed past my lips.
Don't you like us? Her words rang through my mind suddenly, making me stop.
"Soran?" I looked back to the random girl I had picked up. Her gaze held concern.
"Yeah, sorry." I grumbled. I shook my head and began to ready myself.
Why aren't you being loyal to us?! I shook my head and got off the girl. I buried my face in my hands.
"Soran?" I heard her sit up. "What's wrong?"
"I can't-" I hesitated. "I don't know. I'm just-just a bit stressed."
"Let me help you..." I was about to ask her to leave when she suddenly grabbed me. I lost it after that. I don't remember all of what happened, except that I had the girl under me once more, and I had pinned her hands down on the pillow with mine.
But the only thing that stuck out to me was my mate's eyes, and how they looked so close to tears, her yelling at me as they spilled over.
You're not worth our time. Those words replayed in my mind over and over.

"Dude, when do you plan on bringing your mate back with us?" My Beta, Cardin, asked as we sat down at our table at school.
I shook my head and shrugged. "I first have to get her to accept me."
"How you gonna do that?" Will, my third in command leaned forward a bit. "From what I've heard, she doesn't exactly like you." He slowly backed off when I cast a glare to him.
"I can see that." I growled through clenched teeth. "I just have to keep trying. Our pack needs its Luna, and damn it, she's coming back with us!" They jumped a bit when I slammed a fist on the table.
I glanced over my shoulder to her table. Only I didn't see her. I checked the time. "She should be here by now..." I muttered as I searched the cafeteria for her.
Time was ticking by, and she hasn't shown up yet. Her spot remained empty. With a growl, I shoved away from the table and strode over to her group. Their conversation died when I got there.
"Where's Emma?" I demanded to their Alpha, Gaven.
"She's not here."
I snapped my gaze to the third in command. "Did I ask you? No. Stay out of this.
"Don't talk to him like that." Gaven bared his teeth at me. I puffed my chest out a bit and stood taller.
"Where's Emma?" I asked again.
"She's not here." Gaven spoke as he, too, appeared to make himself bigger. "I don't know where she is."
"What do you mean you don't know?" I about snarled out. "She's part of your pack and my mate!"
"Pack?" My eyes darted to his mate. "Mate? Gaven what's he talking about?"
His gaze softened when he turned back to her. "I'll explain later. I promise. Linda, Kester, take her please." They stood and left the cafeteria.
"Well?" I demanded.
"As I said, I don't know where she is." He repeated.
"Why not?" I growled, my hands tightening to fists at my sides.
"She left last night and didn't come home." His eyes narrowed.
"Why'd you let her leave?!" I snarled. By now, all eyes were on us.
"She's her own person." He said firmly. "Yes, I may be her Alpha, but she has a tendency to go where she pleases. She only seems to listen when she wants to."
"Find her." His eyes narrowed more as my power filled the space between us. "Bring her back."
The tension rose as he countered back with his own force. "I would if I wanted to. I can assure you that she's perfectly safe here in Oregon."
"Safe!" I gave a hard, humorless laugh. "Oregon is Rogue central!"
"Shut it." He snapped. "We're in the presence of humans." He hissed the last part.
I glanced around then lowered my voice. "Find my mate. She better be waiting for me in the parking lot by the end of the school day. If she's not there, there will be Hell to pay."
Gaven got right in my personal space. "I think you fail to realize who's land you're on. I don't follow orders from you!" He spat at me then gathered his things. "Get out of my face. I don't have to do anything for you." With a growl, I stalked away from him. The crowd around us parted as I stepped through it.
Where could she be? Where could she have gone? I have to speak to her.

Emma
"Thanks for letting me stay over for the weekend, Vicca." I grinned as I flopped down on the pillow floor. "This is gonna be a lot of fun. No mate to worry about, no stress from school. Just you, me, and our blanket fort with our pillow floor. Plus a ton of movies for a marathon." I gestured to the stacks of movies beside me.
"Now, what shall we watch first?" I asked as I sat up. I began naming off all the categories of movies we had.
She smirked evilly. "How about we watch horror first?" I chuckled darkly and pulled the stack towards us and to the TV we were going to use.
I told my parents that I was going to stay with Vicca for the weekend. They thought it would be a good idea to get me away from school and the stress from Soran. So, I'm spending all day Friday and the weekend at her place. She even took the time off to be with me! I honestly can't wait for endless hours of movies and pigging out on junk food.
"Vicca..." I whimpered softly as I clung to her. "I had no idea the movie would be this scary..."
She gulped. "Neither did I..." We both squeaked and nearly jumped out of our skins. "Shut it off, shut it off!"
"I lost the remote..." I whimpered as we clung on tighter. "I'm too scared to move towards the DVD player..."
"Why did you put the movie on?!" She cried as her fingers dug in to me.
"You said to put horror on!" I countered with. "You even put the movie in!"
"I didn't think we'd be this scared of it!" We gave a small scream. "That's it! I'm going in!"
"Vicca, no!" She let go of me and began slowly crawling towards the DVD player. "Don't leave me alone!" I grabbed one of the pillows from the floor to hold.
When she finally got to the DVD player, she quickly ejected the movie and put it away. Two seconds later, we were holding each other again. "Let's... go outside and get some fresh air..."
"Yeah..." We grabbed out phones and left the room to get outside. I checked my phone once we were sitting on the porch swing.
"Gaven called?" I raised an eyebrow at that. "He knows I'm with you..." It's lunch time right now, so I'll see what he needs. I put the phone on speaker once I called back.
"Thank God you finally checked your phone." He said after it rang not even one time.
"Hello to you too..." I glanced over to Vicca, who merely shrugged.
"We have a situation here." Gaven continued.
"I'm not supposed to be at school today." I pulled my feet up beside me. "I can't get over there at all today. I'm 'sick'." I air-quoted.
"What about after school?" He asked.
I groaned. "Gaven, what's going on?"
"Soran."
"Nope!" I cut him off before he could say anymore. "I'm not dealing with that today. Bye!"
"Emma, wai-" I hung up then turned my phone on silent. Time to ignore all his calls.
"You should have at least figured out what he wanted." Vicca stated.
I shrugged. "It's really not worth my time. Anna talked to him herself and concluded for herself that he's not worth it. He's not good for us, Vicca."
"Just see what Gaven wants." I groaned and picked my phone up just as he called again. I answered, putting him on speaker once more.
"You have thirty seconds."
"Thank God! Okay, Soran wants you to be in the parking lot because he wants to speak with you about something and you have to be there by the time school lets out."
"Why does he need to talk to me?" I asked.
"I didn't ask." He replied. "All I know is that he's real irritated that you aren't at school. He even started speaking about the Wolves in front of the humans this morning, and he almost started a fight with Kester."
I ground my teeth together at that. "Fine. I'll only be there a half hour. No longer than that. I mean it, too! Just get him off my case and to leave me alone after that!" I hung up and sighed. "Why is everything so complicated...?"
"Your guess is as good as mine." Vicca said as she brought me back inside so I could get dressed. After I was dressed in jeans and a t-shirt, Vicca and I decided to watch one last movie before we left. She wanted to come with me to watch over me.
When the movie was over, I finished getting ready. Vicca brought me to the garage and had us get in a car that had dark tinted windows. The ride was quiet the entire trip to the school; not even the radio was turned on.
"Just park at the back of the lot." I said when she turned in. She got a spot and turned the car off.
"I'll be right here." She said as she took my hand.
"Thanks," I got out and went around the car to sit on the trunk. Just as I got settled, the bell to end school rang. Within thirty seconds, people began flocking out of the doors to their cars or to the bus area, or anything that might be happening after school.
I glanced down at my phone and sighed. Soran has twenty-five minutes before I leave.
"I didn't think you'd come." I looked up to see him walking towards the car. I remained seated on the trunk, not wanting to move.
"I didn't want to." I said as I put my phone back in my pocket. "I wanted to stay and watch movies with my friend. You're lucky that I was talked in to coming."
He stopped before me and put his hands in his pockets. "Well, you're here now. Get off the car so we can speak."
I narrowed my eyes at him. "I'm quite happy sitting here. You have... twenty-two minutes to say what you need to before I leave." I slipped my phone back in my pocket.
"Fine." He pulled his hands from his pockets. "Emma, I thought long and hard about what your Wolf said to me. I do realize that since I found out who you were to me, I haven't been the most loyal mate. I want to change that. I want to be your mate and I want you to come back with me to my pack."
I slowly blinked. "You... want me to leave everything I hold close to my heart just like that so I can go back to your pack, and possibly never see them again?"
"Correct." He said. "Wait, that's not-"
"Soran, I can't just leave everything behind!" I hopped off the trunk. "I have a well established life here! I can't drop everything just because we're mates! Besides, I don't even like you! I've been trying to reject you since school started!"
"Emma, please." He moved a bit closer to me. "Let me explain. I'm not asking you to leave everything behind forever. You can visit when I allow it."
I glared at him. "So now you're trying to control me?!"
"That came out all wrong!" He held his hands up. "Look, with you being my mate, things will be different, since I'll be the Alpha. I'm certain you know about Alpha's and how they behave towards their mates."
I crossed my arms. "Time is ticking, Soran."
His eyes narrowed. "It'll be hard for me to see you leave. And I can't leave without you since my pack needs its Luna. I need you to come back with me when I leave at the end of this semester. I swear by then I will only be loyal to you."
I stared hard into his eyes. "And what about before then?"
"Excuse me?"
"You said by then you would be loyal to only me." I uncrossed my arms. "What are you going to do until then? Keep going with women? Leaving me to wonder if you really mean what you say? How many more women are you going to get with before you finally decide that I'm more worth it than those sluts you pick up?!"
"I'll try to contain myself."
"Try?!" I scoffed at him. "Soran, there is no try. You have to show me that you only want to be with me! And so far, you haven't done that! I don't want to go through the heart ache of knowing that you want to get with many women and not want to be with me and only me! I'm done, Soran! No more!"
"Emma-"
"I, Emma Kutcher, re-"
"Emma!" He grabbed my waist and almost too soon, his lips were on mine. I gasped through my nose as I tried to fight him off, but he simply held on tighter. I could feel my willpower slowly fading as the sparks coursed between us. My pushes were growing weaker and I had to fight myself to keep from pulling him closer.
I was thankful, yet slightly discouraged, when he was suddenly pulled off me. "Excuse me, but I won't have you doing that."
"Th-thanks, Vicca..." I about melted in to a puddle. I thought I was going to cave in to him. To help give myself some support, I leaned against the bumper of the car.
"Who are you?" I heard Soran growl out. "Get out of my way!"
I shuddered at the sudden force that filled the area around us. "I am Alpha Victoria of the River Shore Pack. I may not have jurisdiction here, but you are messing with a member of an allied pack of mine, therefore, making it my problem. I'm certain Alpha Nyl will have no issue with me taking care of problems on his land. Now, I suggest you leave her alone before I personally take care of you. Now!"
I flinched, almost getting up and leaving myself. Soran swallowed hard, but left without another word.
I waited until he was out of sight before speaking. "Thanks, Vicca..."
"I didn't like how he was talking to you." She said as she stared after him. "He was trying to control you, but it's kind of to be expected, seeing as he's an Alpha, and you're his mate. He may not seem like the one for you with everything he was saying, but..."
"But?" I met her gaze, my blood suddenly running cold as I finished her thought in my mind. "No... No! I won't! Vicca, please! You heard what he said and saw what happened! I can't give him a chance! Vicca, I don't want to be with him!"
"But he reminds me of your father and-"
"They are nothing alike!" I snapped as I stood from the bumper. "When my dad found my mom, he stopped! He's hasn't and probably won't! Hell, I bet he'll still do it even if I agree to be his mate! Vicca, I don't want to deal with heart break after heart break if I get with him. Can't you see that he'll only hurt me? I don't want this!"
"Just try."
"No!" I shouted at her. "I'm done with him! I let Anna talk with him, I've talking with him myself. He still goes with other women! He doesn't care! For all we know, he could have been lying!"
"Emma,"
"Just take me home." I crossed my arms and turned from her. "I'll come grab my things later." With a sigh, Vicca got in the car, me following soon after her. The ride home was even more silent and awkward than the first time.
After about fifteen minutes, we arrived back at my place. "Call me later." I got out of the car without another word, shutting the door on her words.
I opened the door to my home, finding Orien at the coffee table. "Emma's home!" He called out as I shut the door.
"Emma?" I slowly looked up as my parents came out of the kitchen. "You're home early. Real early. What's wrong?"
I sniffed and brought a shaky hand to my lips. "V-vicca and I had a fight..." And then I lost it. I was brought into comforting arms immediately as the tears and sobs broke past the barrier I didn't even know I had formed.
After I had calmed down a bit, I was guided to my room.
I didn't come down the rest of the weekend.
