Chapter 19
I ACTUALLY UPDATED ON A WEDNESDAY!!! I'm so proud of myself :D

Emma
I hate this.
I hate everything.
I want to go home.
I hate everyone here.
I want to kill them all.
I want to murder them. To burn their corpses and roast marshmallows.
I especially hate the one who brought me here. Whoever he is, he'll be the first to go. Then the one who I first saw when I woke up, then once I get out of here, anyone I see will die. There will be no mercy. Blood will spill everywhere. I will bathe in their blood.
I winced as I bit down on the ball gag. I've been trying so hard to break the damn thing ever since they put it in my mouth. It's slow going, but I'm slowly chipping away at it. I ran my tongue over the large crack I had caused from biting down for periods of time. It's almost completely through to the other side. Just a little bit more.
I took in a deep breath, prepared myself for a world of pain, and bit down hard. My teeth scraped against the metal, sending violent shivers down my back. My teeth protested against the strain as I kept biting harder and harder.
But my effort was well rewarded. The ball finally snapped. I quickly spit the two parts out of my mouth and shook my head, the strap falling around my neck.
"You fucking idiots!! Do you really think silver is going to keep me from getting free?! I thought you would have known that I'm partially affected by it! Just you wait until I get out, you fucking bastards! I'm going to kill you all! I swear!" I swallowed back blood that had filled my mouth. I think I broke a tooth from biting down on the ball gag.
I licked my bottom lip, tasting the blood that had dripped down it. I have no idea which tooth broke, but I think I will soon.
"Emma?" My head snapped up. "Is that you?"
"Vicca!" I thrashed around a bit to try and see if I could spot her. "Vicca, are you okay? I seriously hope they didn't hurt you! If they did, I will make sure they pay for what they did! Oh, Vicca, I'm so sorry for fighting with you. I never meant to strain our friendship. It's just... I couldn't stand the thought of being with Soran and-"
"Emma, enough." She suddenly cut me off, her voice hard. "I don't want to hear anymore."
"What?" I asked, confused.
"You are so god damn selfish!" I blinked, shocked that she said that. "I hate the fact that you are only looking out for yourself and not the long term affects you'd have on an entire pack! Do you realize what could happen to the pack if it never gets its Luna? It dies, Emma. It dies. You'd be the death of an entire pack. Every single Wolf in that pack will be forced to go Rogue!"
"Vicca, what are you saying?" I asked, confused as to where this was going.
"I only had my pack for a little over three years!" She shouted at me. "I should have been with my pack for decades! My daughter should have taken over! I should have never lost my mate! You have everything handed to you on a silver platter with one of the strongest packs within four states, but you're throwing it all away! You're throwing away everything I ever wanted!"
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"You're so fucking stupid!" Ouch... that hurt... "By doing this, you're dooming an entire pack! You got that, right? It'll be your fault it dies! Get that? And now that I see that you don't care, I will punish you for being so selfish! I will make you see the outcome of what happens to a pack when it doesn't get both its Luna and Alpha!"
"Wait..." It was all starting to make sense. "You... you're behind the kidnapping?!"
"She finally got it!" Vicca stated sarcastically. "You now see that I planned all of this. And yet you still don't know the reason why."
"You're jealous." I said.
"What?" It was her turn to go silent.
"You're jealous." I restated. "You're jealous that I have a powerful mate. Jealous that I could get whatever I want. Jealous that my mate is Alpha to a strong pack. A mate that can live for years to come and can give me strong children to bear. You're jealous because I have everything you ever wanted, and I'm throwing it all away. But if this is the case, why did you kidnap me? Why do you want the pack to die?"
Victoria chuckled darkly. "I don't want just his pack to die. I want yours to die. I want Krivix's to die. I want Signih's to die! I want to be the only pack left in Oregon! I want to gain control over the entire state! And since I am Alpha female over my pack, I can easily get a Witch or something to help me obtain a new mate! I will be even more powerful that your mate's land! Soon, with all these powerful packs at my disposal, I can start to filter out and take over all of North America! I will become a Queen!"
I thought about this for a few seconds.
"Well, aren't you gonna say something?" Victoria snapped. Still, I remained silent. "Say something right now, bitch! Yell at me and say something like how my plan will never work! Anything!"
Still, I didn't speak. "Say something!" I held back a cry of pain as she kicked my ankle.
"Still nothing, huh?" I felt a few tears run down my face. "Emma, you and I were great friends once. We had so much fun together. You and I were so close. You reminded me so much of my daughter. I was happy for your parents for having you, yet angry that they got to keep you longer than I got to keep my own. For the longest time, I debated on whether I would kidnap you sooner and find a way to make you my own daughter by adoption."
I snorted, but she didn't hear it. "We would have been a powerful team. Especially when you found your mate. We would have formed the perfect alliance. We would have been unstoppable with our allies at our side!"
"You're so stupid." I finally spoke.
"Come again?"
I looked up to see her right in front of me. "You're so stupid! Do you really think you could take down the entire North America packs?! Have you not read your history books?! Have you forgotten about the huge wars that broke out because so many stupid Alpha's got power hungry?! Victoria, you fail to realize that even though you would take down powerful packs you will never have a top spot for power. You know why? Because you're not strong enough. Yeah, you may have the numbers, but you won't have the mental strength."
"Shut up!"
"The more numbers you have in a pack, the harder it is to control them all and keep track of them!"
"Shut up, shut up!"
"You aren't meant to handle so many Wolves at once!" I shouted over her. "Because even though you have the numbers, there will always be packs with stronger mental capabilities and bigger allies. Hell, I know for a fact the entire Midwest is one huge ally. You know how many members it has?"
"I said shut up, you fucking bitch!"
"Five-hundred thousand and growing!" I spat at her. "Even with all the people you will acquire, you will never be able to get past the Mississippi River! You will fall, crumble, and fail! Just like Napoleon and Hitler when they tried to take over Russia! They were powerful in their own right for humans, close to Wolf status with their numbers and mental control over them, but even they cracked."
"Enough!" I gasped as a foot rammed into my face. "I've had enough of you. You think you're so tough. You think you can actually break my defenses with only your words. You think you can plant doubt in my mind. Well, guess what. You're wrong! I'll show you. Within the next twelve hours, there will be a huge attack. You know what's going to happen? I'm going to kill the current Alpha's of your pack. Gaven is weakened from the previous fight he had with my men. I know he still can't shift and fight. It should be easy."
"NO!" I leaped for her, breaking the restraints that held my arms to the wall. My hands latched to her legs and made her fall hard to the ground. In the next instance. I dragged her towards me and wrapped my hands around her neck, squeezing hard. "I won't let you get away from this! I'll kill you myself right here, right now!"
Just then, the door burst open. Several metal bars smacked across my body, but I wasn't letting go. I could see the fear in Victoria's eyes as I saw her fighting to stay awake. I knew she could see in my eyes that I was able to kill her with no regrets; that I was able to kill my former friend and laugh about it years later.
Her nails raked over my arms as she fought to be let go. Tears streamed down her face. Not once did I lighten my grip on her neck as I pushed my thumbs harder into her throat.
We both suddenly gasped, me from being struck in my ankle, and her from finally being able to let in air.
The blow to my ankle made me falter. That gave someone enough time to pull Victoria from me as I crumpled over to protect my ankle from further damage.
"Knock her out and move her to another room." Victoria's voice was hoarse and strained as she tried to speak. "Wait for my next instructions after that."
Then everything went black.

Gaven
"Well, I don't know how or what happened, but you should be able to shift again." I held on to Emily's hand tighter. "Though I would recommend you wait just a little while longer, just in case. It's so odd how even after fully healing, you couldn't shift back."
"It happened in my pack once." Soran said from the doorway. "It was a way of their Wolf saying that even though you may have been healed, the Wolf still needed time to recover. It is also a part of us and needs time to recover as well. Just like wounds. The outside may be healed, but the inside tissue still needs its own time to be one hundred percent again."
"That does make sense." The doctor muttered to himself. "In any case, you better pray that no huge attacks happen. You're not quite there."
I groaned and flopped into the pillows of the bed. "But I have to protect my pack! I can't stay bed ridden forever!"
"It won't be forever." I looked into Emily's eyes. "Just for a couple more hours."
Soran suddenly took in a huge breath of air. "Well, he better put his healing into overdrive. My men in the north west just spotted a huge army of Rogues, and they look blood thirsty." The second those words left his mouth, he was out of the room.
I jumped up from the bed. "Let's go."
"But you're not well enough!" The doctor was in front of me, blocking my path. "You could seriously injure yourself and-"
"Let him go." Emily got between us. "I know he can do this."
The doctor was silent. "F-fine! But he better get back here as soon as the fight is over so I can look him over!"
"Deal." With that, I raced from the room to join the fight, calling for as many warriors as possible to join in the fight.
I don't know what I'm about to face. I don't know how many there are. I don't know if this is the last fight I'll ever join in.
But I do know that I will fight to bring back Emma and Victoria. I will fight to prevent another large scale war.
The second I got to the end of the porch, I shifted, ripping my clothes. My body stretched with its familiar form as I worked out the knots from not having shifted in a while. The second I was loose and comfortable with my Wolf form, I took off once more, faster than I have ever gone before.
I leaped into the battle with more confidence than I've ever had in my entire life.
