"How was your first Tinder date? Did you have fun?" Sarah says

"It was probably the worst date... ever." Jessica let exhales then laughs.

"Oh no! Well it's only your first one. There are plenty of fish in the sea." Sarah taps Jessica's shoulder and smiles.

"He just kept going on and on about his students, how his way of paying his parent rent is mowing the lawn, and his action figure collection! He was basically a teenager living in a grown mans body. It was just dreadful." Jessica covers her eyes and shakes her head.

"Wow."

"But here's the funny thing... there was this guy that saved me from the date."

Jessica went on telling Sarah about Sam and how he 'saved' her from the date.

....

"Aww, did you get his number?" Sarah was all smiles.

Jessica's smile fades away and she shakes her head. "No, I didn't."

"Maybe you'll see him around. Or you could try to find him on tinder!"

"I think I'm done with tinder."

May-

Jessica was walking down the halls of the courthouse with her briefcase at her side. She was startled by the sound of a screaming woman being pulled out of the room. Security held her arms behind her back as she forcefully tried to break away. Her face was beat red and tears rolled down her face.

"He doesn't deserve to die in there! He's only a boy!" She yells

Jessica stays back and examines the distressed mother. Right as Jessica was about to walk up and see what was wrong she saw Neil walking out of the court room. He looked drained. Jessica rushed up to him and took his hand.

"What is wrong with that lady? Was that your case?"

"That is the mother of that teenage murder I was telling you about. I've been at this case for almost a year. Finally got him locked up." Neil gives the lady a deceiving look.  Jessica and the rest of the DA's office worked on this huge murder case. Jessica was familiar with it.

"Oh god." Jessica whispers

"He's going away for life. The evidence against him was overwhelming. I was gladly able to win. He doesn't deserve to walk freely." Neil says with rage.

"You are going to pay for this! I'll make you pay!" The mother screams from down the hall.

Neil and Jessica turn the other way avoiding the lady. He wipes the sweat off his forehead and sighs.

"I'm glad it's over." He says walking forward. Jessica walks besides him.

A few days later Jessica was leaving her office building to go home. She checked out, went through security, then walked out the doors. Jessica was scavenging through her purse trying to find her keys when someone forcefully grabbed her forearm. She quickly looked down at the hand who grabbed her. She yanked them away and backed off.

Jessica looked at this person... it was the woman that she saw a few days back at the courthouse. Jessica looked at her head to toe.

"You! I saw you talking to that prick!" She hisses

"Ma'am, please don't grab me." Jessica says nervously. Jessica saw that this lady had bruises going up her arm... obviously from needles. Jessica knew at that moment she was dealing with someone who was intoxicated.

"You need to get my son out of prison. You're a lawyer, right?"

"I'm a district attorney... ma'am I can't get your son out. The evidence against him didn't give your son a chance of walking freely. He killed that girl."

"No! No he didn't! He didn't kill anyone!" She screams

Jessica jumped. She prayed that someone was watching and hopefully getting security. She truly felt scared.

"What's your name, miss? I'm Jessica Lange." Jessica says softly. She was attempting to calm her down.

"Pamela, I'm Pamela Thomas. I want my son out! Now! He's all I have."The lady breaks into tears and falls down onto her knees. Jessica gets closer to her and tries to sooth her.

"After my husband died he went crazy. That fucking prick put him away. Your co-worker put him away! Your department put him away!" Pamela looks at Jessica and stares into her eyes. Before Jessica could get away from her she shoves her away causing Jessica to skid her knee. She holds it in pain then moves away.

Jessica looks to her left and sees Neil. Once he sees Jessica and Pamela he runs and gets security.

"You're going to die for this. I'll make you and your whole department pay!" She screams as the security lifts her up.

Neil runs to Jessica and helps her up.

"Take her somewhere that isn't here, please." Neil exclaims

"Hey, are you okay?" He says looking at Jessica's knees. Her pantyhose were ripped. Blood rushed down her legs.

"What a bitch!" Jessica says brushing off her sides.

"She's just another junkie."

"She's hurting... someone needs to get her help. What if she comes back?"

"She won't." Neil walks Jessica to her car.

When Jessica got home her knees were in pain. She limped to the couch and plotted herself down next to Sean and Olivia who were watching Tv.

"Oh my god, what happened to you? Your knees, your suit!" Olivia exclaims examining the rips on her blazer.

"Did you fall or something? Holy shit mom!"

"Language!" Jessica growls

"What happened?"

"Some woman at work is pissed off that her murderer son is going to prison. She had a break down and I got the raft of it." Jessica rolls she eyes and grabs a pillow to support her neck.

"Did you fight her back?" Sean says

"No, why would I?" Jessica says

"I don't know."

"I'll be fine. Could one of you grab me ice please?" Jessica sighs

Olivia quickly stands up and runs to the kitchen.

"Is this the first time something like this has happened?" Sean asks

"Yeah, I mean family members always get pissed at the DA's. But we are doing our jobs. People need to understand. And her son murdered that girl!" Jessica gets fired up

Olivia walks back in with the ice and puts in on her knees.

"You got scratched up pretty bad. Are you sure you're okay?" Olivia sits next to her.

"I'm just fine. But thank you... you two should go get ready for bed."

"Alright, we love you. Night mom." Olivia leans over and hugs her mom.

"See you in the morning. Maybe while you're up you should google some fighting tricks or something." He says in a joking way

Jessica rolls her eyes. "I'll be sure to."

Jessica was still shaking. The lady had scared her. Jessica tried not to think much of it. Seeing the rage in her eyes just frightened her that maybe that won't be the last time she'd see her.
