Throwing Punches
The principal insisted that Jessica's takes Sean to the ER and they will discuss further punishment tomorrow.
On the ride to the ER Sean sat in the front seat with the seat reclined. He put his head back and covered his face with ice and tissues.
"What were you thinking beating up Nathan? My god! Look at you, Sean! You probably have a broken nose." Jessica says in distress
Sean takes off the ice from his face and looks at Jessica. Jessica looks at him then quickly looks away.
"Cover your face. You're bleeding everywhere."
"He deserved it." Sean mumbles. Blood stained all of his teeth and Jessica squinted her eyes.
"How so?"
"He tried to have sex with her at the party. That's what I tried to tell you last night and you wouldn't listen."
"What, how do you know this?" Jessica says in a shaky tone
"Someone at work told me... and Nathan has a big mouth. I was just trying to protect her."
"My god Sean! That doesn't mean you beat him up! They said they rushed him to the hospital. How badly did you hurt him?" Jessica says nervously
"He couldn't get up."
At the res light Jessica throws her head back and begins to cry. "What is going on with my kids that makes them think they can sneak out and beat the shit out of people!" Jessica says

Once they got to the ER the doctors gave Sean an x-ray and later determined that his nose was broken. While they were putting it back in place Jessica needed to leave the room and have Dorthy pick up Olivia after school.
Jessica sat in the waiting room with her head in her legs, sobbing. There had been so much going on and she never had the chance to catch a breath and just relax. With everything that happened over the weekend it seemed never ending. There was more and more to the story as the week went on. Not only was Jessica horrified at the fact that Sean was so beaten up, but knowing how Nathan treated Olivia made her even more sick. Thinking about her daughter being taken advantage like that made her so upset. Jessica was lost and didn't know what to do.
For the time being she just wanted to focus on getting Sean home and talking with the principal.
The nurse walked into the waiting room to find Jessica. When she say her crying she grabbed a few tissues and walked over to her.
"Ma'am, he's alright." The nurse says sitting next to Jessica.
Jessica looks up and clears her throat. "No, I know.... it's just there's a lot going on. I'm sorry!"
"No, don't apologize..." She says handing her some tissues
"Heh, thank you." Jessica chuckles
"We gave Sean some pain killers which have knocked him out. Within an hour or so he'll be ready to go home."
Jessica nods then stands up. "Alright, thank you."

While Jessica waited in the room with Sean while he slept Jessica let Danny know what was going on. He was out of town for a work seminar and wasn't able to come but Jessica really didn't want to deal with him. Jessica was also texting back and forth with Sam who was trying to calm Jessica down.
Jessica stared outside of Sean's room watching as the different nurses and doctors walked past the room with patients. Jessica was caught in such a stare that she was oblivious to the fact that someone had walked into the room.
"Are you Sean Huston's mother?" A shaky voice says
Jessica looks up and sees a tall lady standing in front of her staring at Sean.
Jessica nods "Can I help you with something?" Jessica says nervously walking over to Sean's bedside.
"Your son beat my son up." She says
Jessica widens her eyes then looks even closer at this lady once she notices that it's Nathan's mother.
"I'm sorry about all of this... I didn't think Sean would ever do something like this... is your son okay?" Jessica says as kindly as possible
"Why would he do such a thing to my son? He's a good kid. He could have killed him! And because of that you'll be paying all of his medical bills." She says rudely
"Ma'am I'm so sorry... my son was just angry."
"So he beats the shit out of Nathan? Maybe you should put your kid in some counseling."
"Excuse me? Maybe you should teach your son how to respect women because we have enough assholes like him in this world!"
"What are you talking about?"
"Your son took my fifteen year old daughter to a banger in the middle of the night with drugs and alcohol! Don't go making assumptions and making statements about my kids until you do something about your son!"
"That's no reason to put my son in the hospital. And maybe you should keep tabs on your daughter. You just can't control your kids. Maybe you're just a shitty mother, I don't know." She says
"Get out, now!" Jessica clenches her teeth and points to the door.
"I'll send you the bill then and make sure your son is expelled. I hope his senior year is ruined because of this." The lady puts her purse on her shoulder and leaves the room.
Jessica watches her leave then sees Sam standing at the doorway.
Jessica looks at him and tries to smile but tears flow from her eyes and she couldn't move.
Sam slowly walks up to her and puts his arms around her.
"I can't handle any of this anymore! What am I doing wrong, sam? It's like I can't keep my children under control!"
"That's not true Jessica. They're teenagers. You can't control everything they do."
"I'm a shitty mom! That Bitch is right! God damn it!"
"Don't beat yourself up like that, Jessica. You aren't a shitty mom!"
"Then why did all of this happen?"

Later that night Sean was released from the hospital. He was fuzzy the whole ride home so it was hard for Jessica to talk with him. Earlier before they had left Sam stuck around for a while to make sure everything was okay. He went home when Jessica and Sean left the hospital.
"Sean, we're home, wake up so I can help you out." Jessica climbed out of the car and walked around to open his door. He rubbed his eyes then slowly began to wake up.
"It hurts so bad." He says taking Jessica's hand.
"Well you need to think before you throw punches." Jessica says
Sean puts his arm around Jessica and she walks him up to the front door. Dorthy opened the door for her and she was shocked to see how bad Sean's face was.
"My goodness! Here, let me help you take him to the couch, jessie!" Dorthy gets on the other side of Sean and they sit him down.
"Thanks, Mom. He's still a little fuzzy from all the medicine." Jessica was softly
Olivia comes running down the stairs. Everyone looks her way when they hear her pounding on the steps with her feet.
Sean sits up and looks at her.
"Are you some kind of crazy animal? What the heck did you beat him up for?" She shouts towards Sean.
"Olivia!" Jessica snaps
"You could have killed him!" Olivia says
"I wish I had!" Sean mumbles
"Sean!" Jessica snaps
"You made a fool out of me. Now everyone thinks my brother is some kind of animal!"
"I made a fool out of you? He's the one going around telling everyone your just another whore!"
Olivia's face went blank and started to change in color. Dorthy looks at Jessica dead in the eyes and Jessica covers her face and shakes it back and forth.
Olivia looks at Jessica then a single tear falls from her eye.
"I was just trying to get him to shut up. I was trying to protect you." Sean holds his head in pain then slowly reclines his body back onto the couch.
Olivia turns around then runs back up the stairs into her room.
The house was dead silent. Dorthy took Jessica's hand and led her outside onto the porch.
"Jessie, what's going on?" She says closing the front door behind her.
"Everything you can possibly think."
"Olivia... did she...?" Dorthy says nervously
"What? No! I don't think.... I just got home and found out a few hours ago. It's like there's something new everyday about this damn party!"
"I feel like there isn't much more you can do to punish her."
"All I can do is yell, and I'm tired of yelling."
Dorthy brings Jessica close to her and hugs her tightly. "It will all be okay in the end. I can promise you that."
"I don't know what to say to them anymore."
"Just let them learn on their own... Have Sean pay for that kids medical bills, not you. He'll learn well enough."
"Today that kids mother just made me feel like such a shitty parent. I don't get how all of this happened at once." Jessica crosses her arms then shakes her head.
"I don't know what I'm doing wrong!" Jessica adds
"Oh Jessica! You aren't doing anything wrong. Teenagers are teenagers and they do this kind of stuff! They don't know any better."
"A year ago, if Danny and I were still together I bet you none of this would have happened." Jessica says sadly
Dorthy sighs
"Welp! Tomorrow will just be a whole new day of yelling."
