The Blink Of An Eye
Moments after Sean left-
"Jessica held Olivia in her arms as she cried out of humiliation and sadness. Jessica felt just the same."
"Jessica, you need to relax." Jane says coming next to her with two cups of water.
"I'm okay... really. Now that the news is out and the big reaction is over.... I want to have desert." She says with teary eyes
"We can go home if you want." Sam says rubbing her shoulders
"Not until he's gone." Olivia hisses
"Uncle George is with him right now making sure he doesn't do anything stupid and will drop him off at your dads." Albert says, taking Olivia's hand.
"Livy, don't be embarrassed my love..." Dorthy says
Everyone surrounded them trying to make things better. Even though things would never be the same.
"You'll never look at me the same." She cries
"That's not true. I have a miscarriage too. Everyone knows. No one looks at me differently." Heather says
"It happens. It doesn't represent who you are. We aren't angry or disappointed. Nor are we judging!" Jane says
"We all love you." Sam says
"Sean is in a dark place. You can't listen to him." Ann insists
"He hurt us all. Me, mom, Sam, and Logan! He ruined this happy moment for us."
"He didn't ruin this moment. We are all so excited!" Dorthy smiles
"Yeah! Your mom is pregnant! With a sister you've always wanted." Jane giggles
"Yeah. I think the pregnant lady needs cake." Sam chuckles
"Desert sounds great." Jessica says
"Okay... desert.... let's have desert then." Dorthy says to everyone as they all stand up and migrate to the kitchen.
The night went on. As terrible as it was and how heart broken everyone was about Sean, Jessica made it clear that she didn't want to talk about it and wanted to rest of the night to be normal. As hard as it was for everyone to do that. They did it.

About two hours later almost everyone left. It was time for them to go home. Luckily is was a minute drive across the street.
Logan was knocked out when they got home. Sam carried him up to his room. Jessica and Olivia grabbed the stuff from the car then went inside shortly after the boys.
"Mom, I can't believed this happened tonight." She whispers
"I saw something coming, but not that."
"So you really want him out?"
"I do. Until he apologizes. I'm sorry If it upsets you. But he needs to learn. What he said about me and Sam broke my heart. It will be hard to forgive him."
"I'm happy. I can never forgive him."
Jessica stopped when they got into the kitchen and stared at Olivia.
"I don't want this to ruin your relationship with your brother."
"He ruined it because he told everyone the one thing I didn't want anyone else to know."
"I love you... he'll come around.."

The next morning Jessica woke up with the worst headache. She was so sick from what happened last night. It had her stomach in knots.
Jessica wanted to be alone and have some time to
Herself.
Sam and Olivia understood. The two of them and Logan did some early Christmas shopping on Black Friday.
Jessica stayed in her room with a quart of ice cream wrapped up in her comforter. She watched movies all day and cried off an on.
Jessica kept questioning herself about last night. She kept wondering if she was too harsh, not understanding enough, and wrong for kicking him out. But then she thought about all of his hurtful words and how he deliberately tried to bring Jessica down. That wasn't her son. That was Danny. It was all Danny. He was acting just like his father and it killed her.

Everyone was still out Black Friday shopping. Jessica's brother decided to stop over and talk to her since he was the one that packed him up and sent him to Danny's.
When George arrived Jessica was upstairs. She called George up and caught her standing right outside of Sean's empty room. All he had left was furniture, pictures and stupid little things.
His closet was empty, his drawers, empty. Everyone was gone and it broke her heart.
George noticed that Jessica was crying and held her tightly.
"I messed up, George.... I really messed up." She cries
"You didn't. What he did last night.... I understand why you did it and why you had too."
"Why did he take everything? Do you think he'll ever come back?" She asks, hopelessly.
George sighed. The things Sean said made it sound like he wanted nothing to do with Jessica. George only hoped he'd change his mind.
"He'll come around." He says, trying to make Jessica feel better.
"What did he say to you? Tell me everything." She begs
He sighs again and shakes his head. "What he said last night is better left unsaid."
"It was bad. Tell me it was bad?"
"It was. But listen, sis, it's going to get better."
Jessica suddenly grew so angry. She was about to have a break down and this was the start of it.
She ran into the bathroom and grabbed a trash bag.
"Jessica! STOP!" George says as she throws the rest of his things in a trash bag.
George has no way of stopping her. She was pissed and wasn't going to be stopped.
"No, if he wants out. If he's never coming back, then give him his things! I don't want it." She yells
She continued to put more and more things into the bag. When it got full, she started again. She kept going and going.
"Jessica, are you sure you want to do this? Giving this stuff to him will make it all official." George stresses
"I'm never going to forgive him. None of my children are allowed to speak to me the way he did." She says tying up the last bag.
"That's it. That's the rest of his shit." She says breathlessly
"Maybe you should sit down..." he says taking her to the bed
George sits down next to Jessica and holds her hand.
"Are you sure?"
"Yes." She says out of anger."

Later that night everyone came home and Jessica ended up making everyone dinner. When the kids and Sam got home they were all quite shocked. They thought Jessica wouldn't be that proactive. Especially after all of the stress.
Sam knee exactly went on when he was gone. George called and told him everything. He was worried for his sister. Sam was the only one to get through to her. But he gave Sean all the bags, as asked.
Dinner was just fine. Logan and Olivia gave Jessica all of the crazy shopping stories throughout dinner.
"So anyways. It was a crazy day." Olivia chuckles
"But I got you Christmas presents!" Logan giggles
"Logan knows how to make a dent." Sam says as he smiles to Jessica.
"That's okay! It's going to be his first Christmas as a Shepard!" Jessica smiles
"Will it be like last night?" He asks nervously
The table goes quite.
"No." Jessica says quickly
"Eat your beans!" Sam says trying to distract him
It didn't work, because Logan had more questions.
"Are you mad at Sean?"
"Logan... not now." Sam says
"Come on." Olivia says
"Mommy!" He yells
"What!" She says
"Why are you mad at Sean!" He says
"Watch your tone little guy." Sam says
"Yes. I'm mad at Sean, Logan. There. I'm mad. Are you done asking questions?" Jessica says standing up from the dinner table.
"I'm doing to bed." She says rushing off.

After Jessica cooled down, everyone was in bed except for Sam. After cleaning up and putting Logan to bed, Sam went upstairs to find Jessica.
She was sitting on Sean's bad with tears in her eyes. In her hands was a picture that she didn't give in one of the bags to give to Sean. She wanted it for herself. It was a picture of her and Sean when he graduated. She was smiling at him with the biggest eyes. It broke Jessica's hard how things went down. She was even more angry that she was so angry at him. She wanted to turn back time. But no matter what, that night was so hard to talk to him calmly. It was very emotional and wrecked Jessica. She wanted to forgive him and tell him to come home but she couldn't.
Sam slowly walks into the room and sits across from Jessica. He sat in the desk chair and sighed as he ran his fingers through his hair then covered his face.
Sam was just as sad and angry. Sean hurt him too. Sean will always be a son to Sam. But seeing how much he hurt Jessica and Olivia made him even more angry. Seeing his family so hurt killed him.
"George called. He said you cleared everything else out." Sam says
"I did. Was it wrong and impulsive? Yes. But I don't know how to take this all in. So I went crazy... is Logan okay?"
"He's fine. I explained to him that you're sad..."
"That poor kid. I brought him into this family for a better life, now look!"
"He's as happy as can be. But I'm worried about you? What are we going to do?"
"Nothing. Let him come to us." She cries
"That's my favorite picture of you two."
"Mine as well.... everything yesterday happened in the blink of an eye. It was so fast."
"I know... but he'll come around. They always do. But you have a right to be angry at him... don't feel guilty for that."
