July 31-

After the doctors noticed that something was terribly wrong with Jessica they took her into surgery. They left the baby with Danny. Things were so wonderful in the beginning. Jessica was holding and talking to the baby. Then suddenly, when she was with the doctors, Jessica changed. Her body changed.

Danny rocked his little girl. He looked into her eyes and saw Jessica. He didn't know if Jessica would be okay.

"Your Mommy is so strong. And you're going to see her so soon!"

Then, Dorthy and Jessica's sisters run into the room.

"Dorthy. Thank god. Can you please hold her. I feel like I'm going to go crazy!" Danny says

"Of course of course!"

"Is she going to be okay?"

Right after Ann said that, the doctor walked in. "Yes."

"Oh, Doctor! Is she okay?" Danny cries

"She's okay... Jessica's uterus ruptured. Caused a lot of extra bleeding and painful contractions. We need everything we could to save the uterus for the future."

"Oh god... don't tell us that..." Dorthy gasps

"I'm sorry. After what happened, I don't think her uterus will ever be the same."

"But we have Jessica still. And she's okay." Jane assures everyone

"She can't have anymore children" Dorthy whispers. The same thing happened to her after having her last, George. She knew the risks.

"She can, but I don't know if her body will ever be able to hold a safe pregnancy. There would be risks for her and the baby. It could be potentially dangerous."

"She's our last one..." Danny says

"That's best. She's in recovery. She'll be up soon."

When the doctor leaves the room goes quite. No one really knew what to say.

"Danny, even though she's your last baby.... Jessica will be heartbroken." Jane whispers

"She'll be okay.... she's strong."

"She is. And trust me, she cursed my name a lot tonight." Danny chuckles

Dorthy gives Danny a kiss and hands him back the baby.

"Oh... this is Olivia Lynn Huston by the way." He says

"Olivia? Oh I love it!" Dorthy cries

After that news, they had to try to make this day happy. All that mattered was that Jessica was safe and the baby was safe.

The next morning Jessica was groggy from her procedure. When she woke up she was in pain, but anxious to see her baby girl.

"Danny?" She whispers as she sees him slouched in the chair next to the baby.

"Yes! Yes!" He says jumping up

"Hey." She smiles

Danny runs to her and smiles. "Hey baby. She's sleeping. I just got her down."

"What happened to me?" She says

Danny wasn't ready to say this, but he did.

"Your uterus ruptured."

"Oh...." She says

"You're okay now. They kinda fixed it, but said it would never be the same."

"Like no more babies?"

"It would be dangerous." He whispers

Jessica closes her eyes and a tear falls down her face.

"Hey.... it's okay." He says

"I know she was the last one. But just the thought. If I become pregnant again, that's scary. I don't want anymore babies at all because of this!"

"I know.... but you're okay. And so is our baby Olivia Lynn."

"Can you wake her up?"

Danny chuckles "Sure, just this once."

"Wow, Jessica, I never knew it was that serious." Sam whispers as they sit at the table together talking. No one was home. It was just them.

Jessica decided to tell Sam the whole story the next day. It was only right. She didn't want him to worry, but to understand Jessica and where she was coming from.

"I don't want you to be scared. But you have to understand why I'm being so negative. I know it's not good to be negative, but ever since I had Olivia I just kept googling about it. The risks are scary. I can have a miscarriage any day now. Our baby could have health problems!"

"But it won't. We need to be positive,  not negative. Jessica.... I know everything will be okay. I promise. I have so much faith in this."

"You can't promise that." She cries

He takes her hands and looks into her eyes. "I'm promising you."

The day before Jessica's Appointment-

It was a teacher Inservice, the the school district was off for the day. Sam, Jessica, Logan, and Olivia all spent the day out. They ran errands, went shopping, and then some lunch.

Logan picked his favorite place for chicken nuggets since it was his turn to pick where they ate out.

The day was a lot of fun. As they sat around the table being loud and happy, Logan paused his jokes for a minute.

"Mother." He says

Everyone goes silent.

"Excuse you?" Jessica giggles

"Did you just say... mother?"

Logan giggles "Yeah! It's funny."

"...mother." Sam says in a deep tone

"Mother, I have a question." Logan says deeply, copying Sam.

"Yes, son." Jessica giggles

"What is this, the colonial era?" Olivia chokes up

"Can I Please have.... more chicken nuggets." He says

No one knew why, but Logan was so cute and when he tried to be serious and copy Sam, it was just too funny, for no apparent reason.

"Of course. More chicken for everyone." Sam answers

"...oh my god, mom. Look who it is." Olivia whispers

Jessica turns around slowly then suddenly meets eyes with Danny.

"Who, Who?" Sam says

"Danny." She whispers

"Danny!" Logan screams, trying to be funny.

"Logan... shhhh." Olivia says

"But it was too late by the time Danny walks to the table.

"Funny seeing you here." Danny says

"Hey dad!" She says giving him a hug

"Hey everybody." He says to Jessica

"Hi." She smiles

"Hey, Danny." Sam says

"Who the heck are you!" Logan yells

"Logan! He polite!" Jessica hisses

"This is my dad, Logan."

Logan laughs "Silly, he's your dad." He says pointing to Sam.

It became very awkward.

"Sorry Danny, this is Logan."

Danny and Logan never met before.

"Hey bud!" Danny smiles

Logan immediately hid behind Jessica.

"She's a liar." He says

"Logan, sit up. Olivia isn't lying. This man is her dad. And I'm yours. You two have different dads." Sam says sternly

"He won't hurt you, Logan." Olivia says

"It's okay. He seems shy. I'll leave you guys too it. I'll call you later Liv." He says walking off.

....

"Logan, I can't believe you! You were being so rude!" Jessica says

Logan sits up and laughs. "Logan, that isn't a laughing matter!" Jessica corrects him

"Jess, it's okay." Sam says

"Yeah mom. We trained him to do that."

"Do what?"

"The whole Sam is your dad thing in front of my dad." Olivia chuckles

"It was all her idea." Sam says

"Yeah!" Logan giggles

"That's so horrible! Don't "train" my baby to do anything!" Jessica giggles

Later that night-

It was beginning to sink in that tomorrow Jessica would have all of her test to see if everyone was going okay with the baby. Sam was just as nervous as her. But, their new goal was to stay positive.

Before bed Jessica moisturized herself. She laid in bed as she rubbed her lotion on her tiny tiny belly.

"I can't wait for it to get bigger." Sam chuckles

"Uh, it hurts when it gets really big." She chuckles

"Hey little bunny! I know you're so extremely tiny, but I hope you can hear me. I love you! Oh yeah, im your daddy. And I just can't wait for you to grow... and in a little bit you'll be in this world with us. And we will snuggle you and snuggle you until the end of time." He says leaving a kiss on her stomach.

"Sam..." she tears up

"I'm so excited. Jessica, I love you and I can't wait." He says

"You have a long way to go.... but it will go fast. A baby will be here before you know it." She smiles
