September 4th// kids first day of school-

It was Sean and Olivia's first day of school. Sean was a junior and Olivia was a freshman. The morning that school started was complete chaos. The kids were running around gathering all their things, making sure they looked just right, and complaining wishing summer was longer.

Jessica planned to go into work a little later so she could get the kids off to school. She woke up early and made them a big breakfast.

"I'm so nervous!" Olivia whines, taking bites of her eggs.

"There's no need to be nervous. High school isn't that bad." Jessica smiles as she cleans up.

"High schools awesome, that's when you can get into fun stuff like weed." Sean chuckles

Jessica quickly becomes alert and sternly stares at Sean. "That's enough. I can assure you that you two will never come close to any drugs!"

"It was a joke, ma."

"Mhm, sure." Olivia chuckles

As they eat their food Danny comes down, ready for work.

"Morning" Danny says pouring himself a cup of coffee.

Jessica glanced at Danny and gave him a soft smile. Ever since Danny 'turned down' Jessica, things were even more awkward then usual. The kids even began to notice.

"Ready for your first day of school kiddos?" Danny sits down in between them at the kitchen table spreading the butter on his toast.

Jessica stood by the counter looking out the window.

"I guess, I don't know. What is it like?" Olivia says

"It's great. High school will be the best years of your life." Danny smiles, trying to calm Olivia's nerves.

"Dad was the real MVP in high school." Sean adds.

Danny nods with pride then let's out a chuckle, Jessica giggles along with him.

"Really?" Olivia looks at Sean

"Really. Him and mom were the true partiers."

"Yep. High school is great, I met your mother in high school. My first day at Colquet Village High School. It was a great day. When I laid eyes on your mother for the first time in bio."

Jessica looked at Danny, and her heart melted a bit. She walked over to him and kissed his cheek. He then playfully grabbed her and brought her lips to his.

"Okie dokie, I've officially lost my appetite. Let's go Liv, I wanna get to school early for a good parking spot." Sean stands up and takes his plate to the sink.

"Thanks for breakfast, mom. I'll see you when we get home." Sean walks over to Jessica and hugs her. Jessica kisses his cheek and smiles.

She looks over at Olivia who was glued to her seat. She could tell she was nervous.

"Liv, let's go!" Sean says sternly

"Mom, I'm so scared."

"Don't be darling. It will be okay. You'll have fun. It's the same people, just a different building."

"Alright..." Olivia stands up and gives Jessica and hug and kiss, then Danny.

"Bye guys!" Sean and Olivia both say as they walk out th front door.

It was just Jessica and Danny now. Jessica started cleaning up the kitchen and washing dishes. Danny read the paper and ate his breakfast.

"They grow up so fast. I feel like it was yesterday when we brought Livy home." Danny says softly.

Jessica nods and continues cleaning.

"Times flying." Jessica says

"You are a great mother to those kids. You are an amazing mother... And an amazing wife." Danny stands up and moves closer to Jessica.

Jessica continues to clean, avoiding Danny.

As she does the dishes, Danny comes up behind her and cups her hips. He moves his hands up and down swaying back and fourth.

"What are you doing?" Jessica turns her head slightly and looks at him.

"I want to make it up to you."

"Make what up to me?"

"Everything. How we've been so distant lately. I hate it. I haven't been a good husband, and I'm sorry."

Jessica doesn't say anything giving Danny the signal to keep doing what he's doing and keep talking.

"You're just so special to me." Danny starts moving his hands up Jessica's body, close to her breast.

"I love you." Danny rest his head on Jessica's shoulder, leaning his head on hers. He moved his hands to her breast and cups them. Jessica starts to breathe heavily. She sets down the sponge and stops what's she's doing.

"You're so beautiful, I miss you."

Danny spins Jessica around and lifts her up onto the counter.

"Oh!" She says, startled by his sudden moves.

He looks into her eyes and holds her sides.

He bends down to the ground and separates Jessica's legs. He pulls down her pantyhose and kisses her inner thys.

Jessica holds onto the counter top and let's her head fall back as Danny's lips get closer and closer to her center.

Jessica bit her lip and giggled as Danny began kissing her.

He lifted up her butt and slid off her underwear.

He holds the black lace thong on his finger and smirks at Jessica. "A little to frisky, don't you think, Mrs. district attorney?"

"Hmmm." Jessica grins

Danny puts his hands under Jessica's bare bottom and continues.

Jessica let's out a soft moan.

She leans back and tries to spread her legs even more, but her tight black skirt stopped her from doing so.

Danny looks up at Jessica. "I have an idea."

Danny quickly lifts Jessica up. Jessica wraps her legs around Danny as he carries her over to the kitchen table. With one free hand he pushes everything off the table.

"Daniel!" Jessica exclaims watching all of the plates fall to the ground.

"Shhh" Danny leans over and kisses Jessica laying her down.

He then slides off her skirt and rips open her blazer. All that was on Jessica was her bra and under blouse.

Danny then slid off his pants. He moved Jessica's body closer to him.

He looked at Jessica then down at himself.

Jessica bit her lip and nodded. She reached over and guided Danny into her.

Jessica let out a loud moan as Danny began.

Ten minutes later Jessica's phone continuously rang.

"Damn it!" Jessica says detaching herself from Danny.

Danny follows Jessica as she goes and grabs her phone.

"Neil, what do you need?" Jessica breaths heavily as Danny kisses her body.

"Where are you?"

"Listen, I'm going to have to come in later on today. I'm super busy." Jessica pants trying to push Danny away so she can focus.

"We need you! We have a big new case tomorrow!"

"I take care of it. Just-

I'll see you in three hours."

"Three ho-"

Jessica hung up the phone and looked at Danny who stood there, waiting for her.

"Get your little naked body over here." He says

Jessica and Danny laid in bed wrapped up in their white sheets.

"Daniel..." Jessica says softly

"Yes?" Danny rolls over and looks into Jessica's eyes.

"We need to make a change."

"I know..."

"We aren't 'Jess and Danny' anymore. We are just Jessica and Danny.

Nothing really feels the same. I mean today was great, don't get me wrong. But, i feel like we have been very distant from each other. Today was the first time in four months! We never really talk much, your always out with the boys playing pool, we don't go out alone either. I just miss you. I miss us."

"I'm sorry if I haven't made you happy. That's always been my goal, to make my family happy. You don't deserve to feel like this. It's all my fault. Works been crazy, I've been overwhelmed, tired, and I don't have much energy." Danny moves the hair out of Jessica's face and stares at her.

"Promise me we can make a change, and not be like this anymore. We need to do this for ourselves and for the kids. We need to be a normal family again."

"I promise. We can have sit down dinners, family nights, and do the things we used to. I'm going to change this."

"Danny, do you really want to do this?"

"Do what?"

"Make a change. Do you still love me?"

Danny sits up and takes Jessica's hands.

"Of course I love you! Don't ever question that."

Jessica starts to cry. She couldn't hold back her tears any longer.

"I can't help but think about it... You're so distant with me."

"I'm sorry for making you feel this way. I truly am."

"I just love you so much. I love our family. Our marriage is so important to me. I want a healthy relationship with you."

"I'll do whatever it takes."
