Short Story #6

(This is before Rue and Dominic died, just an FYI)

Ayano was in a city that was in Russia. A place where she was transferred after she had done basic training with someone else. And here, she would be training to be a soldier. She didn't know the full extent of it at the time.

All she knew, was that she had been brought back to life after she died when she was four years old. And two weeks after, she had been brought back to life by someone she didn't know the name of, and she was there to train.

They told her that they were training to be soldiers to protect people, and to help them. She mostly went by on scraps, or whatever she could find.

She looked around at the city and all the buildings. And she saw a track where there was a train. And when she saw the others run towards the track where there were metal parts holding it up, she looked at them as if they were crazy.

But, she it was only a moment of hesitation that she ran towards it herself as she had a backpack with the straps on her shoulders buckled in the middle. She looked as they climbed on the side, and she saw that in the middle it looked like a ladder. So, she used it is a makeshift ladder.

It was a rush, like adrenaline was coming out of her ears. Already her heart was thumping from the running, she was flushed to the face and she looked when there was a train that came by, and she saw that they ran passed it to try and catch it.

She saw someone with dark purple hair jump on the side of the train and pressed a button that opened the door as the rest of them ran after the train trying to catch it to get it.

At this point, Ayano wasn't very fast. She had some speed on her, but she wasn't fast enough to catch a train that was running on the tracks!

Or so she thought.

Somehow she had willed herself to run, and she was getting close to the door before she grabbed a hold of the handle and she jumped in. And just in time, too.

If she hadn't jumped when she did, she would have ran off the edge of the track and died.

When she got on the train, she leaned against the wall and slid down to the ground as she sat there. Already sweating like a dog, and she could feel her heart really racing from the running.

And jumping onto the train.

You know, normal stuff that eleven year old girls do.

She looked over when the guy with purple hair came and he looked winded himself. Only, he was much bigger than her height and build wise. Probably from having done this before.

"You okay, kid?" He asked as he sat next to the raven haired kid and he was curious about the kid. She looked like she had potential, but would need some work. She seriously looked like a little twig that could be snapped at any moment.

Ayano looked at the guy and she was breathing heavily as she had some visible sweat on her forehead. "Yeah, just jumping onto a train that's already moving." She told the guy laced with sarcasm.

She was very sassy as a child, and she had a mouth on her. But, she was raised by a super villain who's name she didn't even know.

"I'm Dominic by the way."

"Well, Dominic. Is it just me, or are you trying to kill us?" Aya asked as she still had some sarcasm in her voice.

"Get ready." He said as he got up and he saw the place where they'd be stopping. He jumped out of the train and onto the roof of a building that was next to it.

Ayano widened her gray eyes when she saw him jump out and quickly got to her feet, seeing people jumping.

They really are trying to kill them!

Her and another girl, that had dark skin and shirt brown hair were last. "Together?" Ayano asked the little girl who hadn't said anything yet and when she nodded. She took her little hand and they both jumped out of the train onto the roof.

Ayano jumped on her butt, as she laid on the rocks that was on the roof and she started laughing. She was on an adrenaline rush, so to her this seemed fun.

The little black girl was laughing slightly herself, but not as much as the Japanese girl was.

Aya got up and went with the other people and she saw a guy with white hair and piercings. He even looked mean, what was this guy's problem?

"My name is Dimitri. And this is your way into the rest of your lives." The guy said and he had an obvious Russian accent. He had a black vest on, and he had black pants with combat boots.

Ayano looked at him with a quirked brow as she stood next to the little girl as she looked at the Russian man who was there.

"Well, someone's gotta go first. So who's it gonna be?" He asked and he looked around. There was a lot of strong looking people there. One girl was huge, build wise, anyway. She sure had a lot of potential to put these guys on the ground. He thought that she would be the one to go first.

But, she didn't. The scrawny little Japanese girl did. She spoke up and people looked at her like she would get squashed there. "Me." Ayano said calmly as the others looked at the scrawniest one there.

She then ignored the looks and she walked up to the ledge, where there was a gap between the building they were on, and there was a big hole where they had to jump down. They didn't know what was on the bottom. For all they knew, there could be nothing and she could fall flat on her face on concrete.

But, that didn't frighten her.

When she walked up she looked down at the hole to see if she could see anything at the bottom. She didn't, but she took off her backpack and she looked as she figured out how to get on as she climbed onto the ledge. As she stood there and looked down at the hole again. She was slightly afraid, but she eventually stepped off of the ledge and into the hole.

Falling and when she landed she landed on a net.
When she landed there was a slight jump like a trampoline, and she laid there for a moment as she looked up to where she jumped and she laughed slightly again, as her once ponytail was sprawled out underneath her.

She was the scrawniest one there, the weakest looking. But yet, when all the strong looking ones had to jump, none of them would go first.

But Ayano Sunobu did. Despite being afraid.
