Ayano had lived a normal childhood for the most part as far as she knew. She was the youngest of four sisters, and she had a friend Kawaii that she spent all her free time with, either at her house or at Kawaii's. She hadn't spoken, but it was known that she had been born mute. She knew her until, Kawaii's quirk manifested and accidentally killed Ayano when they were around five years old. Or so they thought. 

To make things worse, five years later the rest of her family was found either died or barely alive inside of her house. It was declared as unsolved, because they couldn't conclude who had committed such a vicious crime against her family.

However, her father had been taking her with him to train with the organization that he was in. This organization had branches all over Japan and owned some orphanages. He hadn't told his wife Satomi the whole story of what he did, but she knew that he had to be gone a lot due to work.

The children oftentimes had to do different games. One to test their memory and color identification, one to test hand eye coordination, and one of them was designed to test their willingness to obey orders. The other tests was that they were taught how to dance ballet as a form to teach discipline within the children. It wasn't just dancing, though. They were being taught how to fight, breeding them as people of destruction and death.

She was never taught to socialize with the other children or retaught how to speak or read either. This wasn't with all of the children there, mainly just the girls. They didn't think that it'd serve her any purpose, as a way to indoctrinate and brainwash her. She didn't know how to socialize, either as she wasn't ever retaught to do that either. She would often be put inside of a room, where she would be trained to predict every movement of a person before they themselves even did it. In a sense, they replaced her ability to speak, with her honing in to this skill. There would often be people who came and fought her, attacking her from behind using knives, guns, and any other weapons that they were allowed to use. With this, she developed the ability to be able to predict someone's movements without fail each time. Sometimes before the person themselves knowing that they're going to do it.

These children were told that the outside world was too dangerous for them to go out. That the people on the outside wouldn't understand them and hurt them. That all this harsh training was for their own protection for when they would eventually go.

Within the factory, there was different scientists assigned to the children to evaluate their process. The scientist that was assigned to each child was given freedom to do whatever they saw fit. Ayano was oftentimes tested in her intelligence, she was the weakest one there physically, but she was highly intelligent among the other children.

This scientist/trainer she was assigned to was a real brutal trainer and pushed her much more than her body could take. She wasn't learning anything, she was just getting her butt kicked by this grown woman. However, she had somehow squealed her way into the higher level due to her maximum intellect.

At the higher level that she was transferred to, she had met a girl who was significantly younger than her and she had been forced to "fight" her. But really, Ayano was smart enough to only pretend to fight her and told the young girl to act like she had been beaten and she'd do the same. They hadn't ever gotten caught, she did a few light hits to make it look real, but she didn't do it hard enough for there to be serious damage.

However, when it came to fighting girls who were older than her weren't as nice about it. Although Ayano has always been very smart, she was the smallest in her unit as well as the weakest. The older ones would take advantage of this, and she was the one that was always beaten down.

When she was ten years old, she and other people including the young girl that she had become friends with, to a different facility to continue the training that they'd completed. She didn't know what happened to the other girls in her unit, she couldn't remember what happened to them, just that she was the last one standing.

Their new facility was on the abandoned island of Hashima Island and they went there by were being drugged so that they wouldn't know where they were, and they couldn't refuse to take orders. There was a certain initiation, and it was pretty wild. Ayano being the smallest, she had a hard time keeping up with the others. The entrance to the facility was at the bottom of a broken roof, and to test their bravery they had to jump down.

She was the smallest and the weakest by far, but she had volunteered to go first much to everyone's surprise. They weren't told what was underneath, but there was a net there that she fell on and she had a barcode in a branding fashion put on her wrist since it was how they categorized them.

It's also when the shock therapy happened. Whenever she broke the rules, which was often, she would be brainwashed using the shock therapy method and they had tried to conform her into what they wanted. They also were able to use someone's truth quirk to force her to tell what she feared most, which is small spaces.  

So they used a room that they often used for soldiers in her division to learn to force through the fear. It was designed to replicate the greatest fears of the soldiers, and when she went in the room started shrinking. What she needed to do was find a way for the room to be shrunk down before it was too late. 

Once a month from then to when she was twelve, they would hold matches to fight one another until the other person couldn't fight anymore. People didn't think that she would make it very long. They didn't know what happened to the ones that lost either. When the person that lost was taken out of the room, they never saw them again.

However, she had been sneaking out of her corridors to train herself more and become stronger. One of the instructors, had been helping her out during the day, and she had applied it to her night training. She had started to get physically stronger, and she used her smarts to defeat her opponents. By this point, she was completely brainwashed both emotionally and by the gas therapy.

What happened to her friend, she didn't know. She didn't remember any of the fights that she had against the others. The only parts she remembers is training herself to be able to use to stop being pushed around, and practicing archery. A skill that she had become very good at.

At twelve, she was taken back to Japan, there she was sterilized and finished her training.

After when she was thirteen she was taken to the person that she would be working for that person being Tomura Shigaraki in Japan. He had continued to use shock therapy along with the gas, and she was often pinned against Hikaru (not my OC) and beat him time and time again.

He had also used her to hunt down and take out people that he didn't want around anymore. It was mostly people who'd pissed him off. She could see what she was doing to people, killing them so brutally, but she couldn't stop herself from doing it. She wasn't in control of her own mind or body.

Until, when she was on a mission and the mind control had started to get fuzzy and she saw someone who was her best friend from a lifetime ago, and she started to snap back.

When she hadn't been giving the daily mission report to Tomura because she had started to remember more. She asked who the person that she saw was, and he had simply said that she had seen her on a previous mission and she insisted that she knew her. He had brainwashed her again after she said that.
