Go! Go now! I don’t want to hurt you!” I notice his eyes dilating rapidly, so I quickly stand and accidently throw my chair backwards into the wall. I run towards his front door and fling it open. I run outside and as soon as I get off his porch, I hear him scream, “WHERE IS SHE?!?! WHERE IS THE MUTT!?!?!” Even though I know he doesn’t mean it, hearing those words caused tears to spring to my eyes, blurring my vision. I run to the safest place I know of, the woods. ~Peeta’s POV~ When I come to my senses, I’m standing in the middle of the Victor’s Village. I look around confused before I go back to my house. When I step into the kitchen, the first thing I notice is that Katniss is missing and her chair is against the nearest wall, which has a huge hole in it. My first thought when I realize I had a flashback is, ‘Did I hurt Katniss?’ and my second is, ‘Where is Katniss?’ In a hurry to find my one true love, I rush over to Haymitch’s house to ask if he knew what happened. When I get over there, I don’t even bother to knock, I just barge right into his living room where he sits there watching TV. “What the hell, boy?!?!” He yells when he notices me. “Katniss is gone, do you know where she went?” I say on the edge of hysteria. “I think I saw her head to the woods. She looked like she was crying. What did you do, boy?” He gives me a questioning look. “I had a flashback,” is all I saw before a tear rolls down my cheek. Haymitch says to start in the woods, so that’s exactly what I do. When I leave his house, I head back to mine to get a coat and pack a bag full of apples to bring to snack on and for Katniss when I find her. I also grab her coat and a blanket for her, along with a knife for me to defend myself. I walk out of the house, confident that I will find her.
