Bondita bid a bye to both and came to her home.

It was evening and was getting dark. She was about to go to sleep because of tiredness but the telephone rang.

Bondita - Hello

Bondita didi !!!!

Bondita - Tapur ! Kya hua tum itni ghabraayi Hui kyu ho ?

Tapur - Bondita didi vo..... vo.....

Bondita - Tapur tum itna ghabraayi Hui kyu ho ? Kya hua hai?

Tapur - Bondita didi jaldi se uss pahadi par aa jaiye. Ye baat apko telephone par nahi bata sakti.

She cutted the call and went to pahadi. It was very dark till now. When she reached their she saw Tapur who was waiting for her. Her face was covered by a shawll. Bondita came near her and asked.

Bondita - Tapur kya hua ? Sab theek toh hai ? Tumne itni raat mein mujhe yaha kyu bulaya?

Tapur didn't answer any of her questions instead she handed over something tied in a white napkin.

Bondita - Tapur isme kya hai?

Bondita asked her but seeing her tensed face she got scared and immediately opened the knot of the napkin and what she saw inside shocked her to the core.

There was the same ring which they were searching for so many days. Bondita's hands began to shiver seeing that ring. She asked Tapur in a strammering voice.

Bondita - ye...ye.....ye angoothi....kaha?

Tapur - Chandrachur jamai babu !

Bondita - Kya !!

Tapur - Ha didi ye angoothi mujhe Chandrachur jamai babu ke kamre se mili hai ye angoothi.

Flashback

When Thakuma returned this morning they were discussing another plan to bring Bondita back. Tapur came and served them water and hide behind the curtains and was silently listening their conversation.

Thakuma - samajh nahi aa raha kaise laau iss ladki ko Das Haveli mein. Ek toh uss Anirudh Roy Choudhury ne itne kanoon bana diye hai aurto ke adhikar ke liye upar se ye Bondita bhi ziddi hai.Ek baar yaha aa jaaye fir yaha se vo apne sasural hi ja payegi.

Chandrachur - Thakuma ab ek hi tareeka hai Bondita ko vapas laane ka

Thakuma - Konsa tareeka Jamai babu? Aur apne pehle kyu nahi bataya?

Chandrachur - Thakuma hume adaalat mein ye saabit karna hoga ki Bondita maansik roop se bimar hai. Aur vo hamara vakil galat kaagaz dikha kar kar bhi deta par isse sab Bondita ko pagal samjhenge.

Thakuma - Aree vo toh hai hi pagal. Ye bahut accha tareeka hai Bondita ko vapas laane ka. Aap abhi hamare vakil ko patra likh dijiye.

Chandrachur began writing the letter but the pen ran out of ink .Thakuma called Tapur. Tapur waited for a few seconds and then entered the room.

Tapur - Ji Thakuma

Thakuma - Ja apni Tupur didi ke kamre se sihyahi le aa.

Tapur - Ji Thakuma.

Tapur went to Tupur's room. Tupur was not there. Tapur assumed that she might be in the kitchen so she started searching for ink pot on the study table and in the drawers of the table. She almost searched all the drawers. Her attention got to the last drawer. She thought to just look if she could found an ink pot. But she didn't find any ink pot there too but she found the ring. Her face flushed seeing that ring that too in his brother in law's room. She was figuring out what to do and what not suddenly

Kaha mar gayi Tapur jaldi aa....

Tapur answered in a strammering voice

Tapur - aayi.....aayi Thakuma

She hided the ring in her pallu and went to inform Thakuma that she didn't find any ink pot. Afterwards she secretly called Bondita.

Flashback ends

Bondita - Tapur tumne jauharee ( jeweller)se pucha iss angoothi ke baare mein?

Tapur - Ha didi par unhone kaha ki ye angoothi sirf  ucchi jaati ke Brahmin log hi pehnte hai. Ye angoothi Brahmin logo ke ek bhavya mandir mein bani jaati hai aur sirf Ghar ke mardo ko di jaati hai. Kaha jata hai iss angoothi ko pehne se unki kul devi unki raksha karti hai.

Bondita - Aur Chandrachur Jamai Babu bhi Brahmin hai!!!

Tapur - Nahi didi Aisa nahi ho sakta ! Chandrachur jamai babu mere ma baba ko nahi maar sakte.

Bondita - Tapur mujhe samjhne ki koshish kar vo........

Tapur - mujhe khuch nahi samjhana hai didi Chandrachur jamai babu mere ma baba ke hatyaare nahi hai

Bondita - Theek hai tujhe Jo samjhna hai samjh mein kal ye saare sabut panchayat ke samne rakh dungi aur uss Chandrachur ko saza dilvaungi.

Tapur couldn't argue anymore,she left from their leaving Bondita alone. After she left Bondita consoled herself.

"Sab theek ho jayega. Mein kal hi panchayat bulaati hu aur ye sabut sabke samne laati hu."

Next morning

Bondita went to panchayat and said she need to discuss something important with them. But unfortunately all the villagers including the Panchayat members were influenced by the great Anirudh Roy Choudhury. One of the members said

Member - Dekhiye hume dushmano se koi baat nahi karni. Aap jaa sakti hai

Bondita - dushmani muh mod lene se nahi baat karne se khatam hoti hai

Sarpanch - Dekhiye Bondita Das apko Jo bhi zaruri baat karni hai pehle aap Barrister babu se kijiye. Agar zaruri Hui toh vo telephone karke hume bata denge aur fir hum apki baat sun lenge.

Bondita - lekin.......

Sarpanch - ab aap ja sakti hai

They left from their leaving Bondita alone. She kept on requesting them to listen her once but they ignored her request.

Bondita - Shit !!!! Ab mujhe Sakha Babu ke pass Jana hoga , aur vo mujhse kahenge ki Bondita Das aaj ek baat ko ghaat bandh lo hamare beech ab koi rishta nahi , hamare raaste ab alag hai aur itne alag ki vo kabhi nahi milenge. Iss baat ko apne zehen mein dafan kar lo......Huh Rakshas Babu.

She said the last lines in a taunting tone and proceeded towards the Roy Choudhury Haveli.

Bondita reached Roy Choudhury Haveli. She entered the Haveli and was searching someone so that she could inform them about her arrival. Suddenly she heard a voice

Ruk jao Bondita!

The person was Trilochan along with Somnath.

Trilochan - Roy Choudhury Haveli mein ghusne ki himmat kaise ki tumne.

Bondita - maaf kijiyega Zamindar Babu, apki Roy Choudhury Haveli mein aana nahi chahti thi par mujhe Barrister babu se bahut zaruri baat karni hai. Aap kripya karke unhe bula lijiye.

Somnath - Tumhe dada se kya kaam hai?

Bondita - vo mujhe.........

Bondita ( in mind) - nahi mein inhe abhi ye sach nahi bata sakti. Mein ye sach panchayat ke samne hi kholungi. Agar Sakha Babu ko batana zaruri na hota toh shayad mein unhe bhi nahi batati par unhe bataye Bina koi meri baat nahi sunega.

Trilochan - khuch puch rahe hai. Batao kya kaam hai Anirudh se ?

Bondita - vo mein apko nahi bata sakti. Aap kripya karke Barrister babu ko bula lijiye.

Trilochan - firse hamare Anirudh ko behlana fuslana chahati ho. Par sunlo iss baar hum Aisa nahi honge denge.

Bondita didn't get why he was saying this. She assumed that he is telling this because of the influence of the enemity. She was not getting how to meet him but suddenly

Barrister babu..... Barrister babu

Bondita began shouting Anirudh's name.

Trilochan - Aee ladki kya kar Rahi ho tum. Humne bola na nahi mil sakti Anirudh se.

Barrister babu... Barrister babu bahar nikaliye mujhe bahut zaruri baat karni hai apse.

She kept shouting his name in hope that he will hear her voice and atleast meet him once but unfortunately he didn't come. Trilochan who had enough shouted on Bondita

Trilochan - Ae ladki. Kyu nahi samajh aa raha tujhe. Hamare Anirudh ko tujhse nahi milna hai tabhi toh vo neeche bhi nahi aayi tumhari avaaj sunkar.

Somnath - sahi kaha Kaka ne , agar dada ko tumse milna hota toh vo tumhari avaaj sunkar aa jaate ab tak. Vo tumse nahi milna chahte Bondita chali jao.

Saying this they both left leaving Bondita alone.

Bondita ( in mind) - Sakha Babu mein janti hu ki ab aap mujhse nahi milna chahte, par ek baar mujhe aakar dekh toh liya hota. Agar ye itna zaruri nahi hota toh mein kabhi apko meri shakal nahi dikhati.

Her trance was broken by Shashwati who came and hugged Bondita.

Shashwati ( happily) - Bondita maasi !

Bondita ( happily) - Shashwati kaisi ho tum?

Shashwati - mein theek hu maasi. Aap hamare sath khelne aayi hai?

Bondita laughed a little and said

Bondita - nahi...nahi mein khelne nahi aayi thi. Mein tumhare Dada se Milne aayi thi par shayad vo mujhse milna nahi chahte

Shashwati - Aisa nahi hai maasi

Bondita - Aisa hi hai Shashwati. Tum abhi bacchi ho tumhe samjh nahi ayega.

Shashwati - maasi dada Ghar par nahi hai.

Bondita - Kya ! Toh fir kaha hai ?

Shashwati - vo toh court honge na . Aaj chutti thodi hai.

Bondita cursed herself of being this much stupid. If she would used her brain, she would have already met Anirudh and tell him the truth.

Bondita - Aree Ha....mein bhul gayi thi. Ab mein chalti hu.

Shashwati - bye maasi!!

Bondita - bye!!

Bondita reached court and was searching Anirudh. He found him standing with one of his clients. She waited patiently and let him complete his discussion. The few minutes of his discussion seemed hours to her. She was getting restless. After sometime the client left leaving Anirudh alone. Anirudh's back was facing Bondita.

Sakha Babu!!

Bondita didn't realised that she first time called Anirudh Sakha Babu in front of him after that meating.

Anirudh stopped hearing her voice. He didn't turn.

Bondita - Sakha Babu mujhe apse ek bahut zaruri baat kehni hai.

' Jab se London se aayi hu apse ek bahut zaruri baat kehni thi par itna sab hua ki keh nahi payi.'

'I love you........ I love you Sakha Babu.'

'Ha Sakha Babu bahut pyar karti hu main aapse.'

The words started ringing in Anirudh's mind.

Anirudh ( in mind) - Hey Dugga Ma ! Agar Bondita ne mujhe propose kar Diya toh mein kya karunga...... nahi mein ye nahi hone de sakta.

Bondita - Suna apne Sakha Babu bahut zaruri baat kehni hai mujhe apse. Please yaha aaiye.

Anirudh pretend that he is not interested in this conversation. He began to leave. Bondita who sensed it started moving behind her.

Bondita - mein janti hu aap mujhse baat nahi karna chahte par ye bahut zaruri hai ek baar meri baat sun lijiye.

But he didn't listen, he was just moving avoiding her. Bondita was literally screaming, requesting him to stop and listen her once. Now Anirudh had got on Bondita's nerves.

"Barrister babu keep your attitude in your pockets. What do you think I am a fool here requesting you to listen to me for once ! I also have my self respect Barrister babu, if it was not that much necessary I would have not shown you my face !"

Bondita shouted on Anirudh. She was super irritated by his behaviour. Anirudh was shocked listening Bondita shouting this much and that too on him. Still he didn't turn and went directly to his car and left.

Bondita thumped his foot in irritation.

Bondita - Thik hai apko seedhe seedhe mujhse nahi milna mat miliye ab mujhe apne tareekhe se aapse milna hoga.
