Kuroo's POV

We were meeting Karasuno for the practice match in front of the school when I saw him. He was standing there in all his glory. And holy hell was he glorious. He literally looked like an angel. He had tan skin, freckles, and he wore the cutest shy expression on his face. I realized that I was staring, and even worse my mouth was wide open. I closed it and composed myself before the team greeted us. We all greet each other and I lead everyone to the gym we're playing in.
"Alright! We'll be playing here in a little while so make sure you're all ready when the match starts!" I say enthusiastically. I look over to where the angel is, he is hanging around a tall blonde megane. The megane seems less than interested in his presence at the moment. The angel looks over in my direction and catches me staring, he shoots me a shy smile and turns back to the blonde dude, trying to talk to him.
"What am I doing?" I say quietly to myself.

Le time skip to after the matches bc I'm lazy~

We're all on the ground exhausted from the many matches played, except for the small shrimp who was bouncing around asking to play another match. Damn he has stamina.
"Aren't you tired?" I ask him getting up off of the ground slowly. I look around and see Shrimpy jumping around the angel and yelling his name I think it's his name I have no idea.
"YAMAGUCHIIIIII! DID YOU THINK I PLAYED GOOD?!"
"Yes Hinata."
"YAYYYYY! IT WAS REALLY FUN WHEN KAGEYAMA WENT GYUN AND THEN I WENT BWAAH! You know?" Yamaguchi' eyes widened and he seemed to be fishing for words. He seems to find what he's looking for as his face softens.
"Yes Hinata, you played great, especially against that Kuroo guy." Yamaguchi snickers as he looks in my direction, and I realize I was watching the whole exchange. But his face flushes as he panics over what he said.
"I-I-I-I d-didn't mean t-to offend y-you!" He says as he walks toward me waving his hands in front of him and shaking his head. My eyes widen as he gets closer to me, I'm not ready for this, like at all.
"It's fine." Is my clipped response. He scowls cutely at my response, and my heart melts at his expression.
"No it's not, I can tell by your tone."
"Oh can you now?" I say, smirking at him.
"Y-yes."
"Okay then." I say turning around and walking away towards Yaku. But right then coach Nekomata comes into the gym with a smile on his face.
"I have some bad news I'm afraid." He says loudly so all of the attention is on him. "You boys have missed the last train running, you will have to stay the night here!"
(A/n: I know this didn't happen in the anime but it will help the plot I promise.)
He looks almost excited, but I for one am terrified.
"Woohoo sleepover!" Shrimpy says while jumping around. How is this even going to work? Who is going to sleep where? And here's another problem, Yamaguchi. If we end up in the same room I won't be able to sleep. Kenma comes up behind me and tugs on my shirt, scaring the living shit out of me.
"Ah! Oh, hey Kenma, don't scare me like that please."
"Sorry, but can I have my game back?" He indicates toward the lockers that I set the game console on top of.
"Sorry no can do!" He stares at me blankly but just sighs as he walks right toward Yamaguchi. I follow stealthily behind him to see what he's doing.
"Yamaguchi, can you get my game from the top of those lockers please?"
"Sure!" He responded immediately.
"What?! No!" I say uncrouching from my stealthy position.
"Why not?" Yamaguchi asks with a little head tilt, if you listened hard enough you could hear the quiet thunk of an arrow going through my heart, he's super duper cute.
"B-because he needs to socialize more!"
"Huh. Okay then." He says making his way toward the lockers.
"Hey!" I say walking after him. "Let's just come to an agreement okay? How about if you don't get the game for him I'll buy you something out of the vending machine."
"Go ahead." He says, getting the game boy, putting his left hand on his hip, and holding the game boy up in his right hand. Dang he looked good.
"But he's still getting it." Kenma comes up beside him and gently grabs the game boy out of his hand.
"Thank you." He says quietly.
"No problem!" Yamaguchi says back cheerfully.
"Kenma!" I say, getting after him as he walks away. He just keeps on walking as he plays his game, toward Shrimpy. I turn to Yamaguchi to see him looking shy again. How does he even manage to be so cute?
"Alright! Sleeping arrangements are made! Come with me!" Coach Nekomata says loudly, demanding attention and obedience.
"Yes sir!" We all yell in response and follow him.
