Meet Someone
((I know I kind of just left the last chapter at the end of a flashback, but I really had no idea how to carry on, and it was already a pretty long chapter lol I hope you enjoy this one a major thing is revealed! [kind of]))
Harry's POV:
I was on my way to the ring store, taking Louis up on the idea to get Leah a bigger ring, well actually no so much bigger more like, more expensive. It didn't take me long to find the right ring. It was one of those that actually fit inside the wedding band. It was only two hundred dollars more than the one she has now.
While I was paying for the ring I got a text from management saying that they need us to come in for a talk. I'm sure it has to do with our new merchandise. I started walking to the HQ building, sending a quick text to Leah saying that I would be home a little later.
I walked in the front doors and was instantly greeted by the desk lady, Miranda.
"Good morning, Mr. Styles." She smiled as I walked up to her. She was in about her early 60's, pretty fit for a woman her age. She always greeted anyone who walked through that door with a smile on her face, that includes the devils themselves.
"I hope it is." I groaned and propped my elbows on the counter. and flipped through the business cards in the holder thing.
"Did they call you in unexpectedly?" She raised an eyebrow.
"Yeah, all five of us." I muttered. and she laughed.
"Yes, well the others are already here, so good luck." She winked. I grabbed a peppermint from the small wooden bowl before heading to the elevator and pressing 6. I popped the peppermint into my mouth and listened to all the six 'dings' until the doors finally opened.
There were little cubicles where most of the employees sat on this floor. I walked past all of them to the first conference room, we always meet in this room, I don't know why.
When I opened the door it was dead silent. Louis and Niall were slumped in their seats Liam was spinning around and Zayn was just staring straight a head. The other three men in front of them were writing down notes, until I walked in.
"Ah, Harry, it's great you could join us." Brad smiled. I flashed a quick smile back.
"Did I really have a choice?" I muttered and took a seat between Liam and Niall.
"So," Brad stared the conversation off make all of us boys give them our full attention. "How are things with you and Leah?"
"We are in a band meeting, yet we are talking about my wife?" I ask. That is the first time I called her my wife, and let me tell you...it felt good.
"Now she is your wife?" Brad said leaning forward on the table like this information sparked his interest. "I never heard about the wedding, how can you be married?" He asked in a mocking tone.
"Marriage licence says other wise." I flashed a quick smile then went back to a poker face.
"Hmmm." He sighed. "This might make this a little harder then." He mumbled to himself, I almost didn't hear it.
"What did he just say?" Niall whispered over at me. I leaned forward and narrowed my eyes at the man. What is he playing at?
"Make what harder?" I growled.
"Harry, how far along is she?" Can we just leave Leah out of this for once? Why does he even care all of a sudden!
"Almost two months, why?"
"Fans don't know correct?"
"What the hell are you trying to say?" I bit back harshly. He took a piece of paper from the other mans hand and laid it in front of him. It was far enough so that I couuldn't read it, but I knew it wasn't good.
"I had mentioned before that we would figure something out during the pregnancy, and we have." He had a smirk on his face.
"Which is?" I heard, who I think is Liam, let out an aggravated huff.
"No public inter action between the two, if people do find out about the pregnancy; you deny that it is yours, take a vacation in the States with someone." He can not be saying what I think he is. "You need a fake girlfriend, for the camera at least."
"No! You are out of your mind if you think I would do that." I roared. I honestly have no words for how I feel right now. This sick son of a bitch!
"Yes, you are." He slid the paper over to me. It was a contract saying that I agree to walk around with a skank on my arm denying that Leah is my wife and that the baby is mine. Maybe not in those exact words, but they were close enough.
"You can sign this, or I can. You don't have a choice in this Harry. Be a man and take this chance to clean up your mess."
"Mess...Mess!! I don't have a mes, I have my life all in order and I have everything that makes me happy. You think I'm going to agree to walk around with a total stranger that I don't know or even like just to save the bands 'image'?"
"Either we can make this hell for you, or for all five of you. Your choice." He tossed the pen at me. I looked at the other boys. Louis gave me a nod, same with Niall, Liam, and Zayn. I knew they would stand behind me. This band means everything to us, but we all mean even more than that to each other.
"Shove this up your ass." I said through gritted teeth shoving the paper back at him. He jumped from his chair and leaned over the table to get right in my face.
"Listen, I'm the player, this is my game, and you are the pieces. I move you how I want, and only I can change the rules. Make sense?" He shoved the contract back at me. "Last chance." He hissed.
I can't believe this is happening.
Leah's POV:
I sat on the couch alone, tv on mute, cup of tea in my hand, ever since Harry told me he was going to be home later. I had nothing to do.
There was a knock on the door. I went to answer it and when I opened it, there stood Mady and Avery. They had bags of something on their arms.
"Hey Girly. I thought we would have a bonfire." Mady says pushing her self in.
"Umm... where? and what's in the bag?" I rushed after them as they made there way out the double french door to the back yard. Man, it was already pretty dark out.
"Here, and you don't need to worry about that." Avery said dropping the bags she had. Before they could stop me I grabbed one of the items bags.
It was a magazine. The cover story was about Harry and what his real relationship was. Half of the cover was him and me on vacation at the beach and the other half was of him and that strange girl at the bar.
"I told you not to worry!" Avery said and snatched it out of my hand.
"Is that the only thing in here?" I pointed to all eight bags.
"No." Mady said in a sarcastic tone, squinting her eyes. I popped my hip and put my hand on my hip. "I have chocolate, marshmallows, and gram crackers too."
"So then everything else is a magazine?" They were quiet, "Why did you buy all of these, how?"
"She went one way I went the other." Avery shrugged. "We told Niall and Louis, and they just handed over the money. They thought it was a good idea." I just shook my head not understating the whole concept. I waddled over to a chair and took a seat.
I hate my swollen feet.
"We thought you might have fun, drawing faces, ripping her to shreds, and burning the covers and articles."Mady smiled at me like she just got a gold medal. It did sound pretty fun.
"Bring 'em to me. I'm no moving." I said propping my feet up into the other chair and reached for bag, reaching over my belly. Avery handed me a bag and a sharpie while Mady and her fixed the fire pit.
"Ready to kill this mother trucker?" I whispered down to my stomach, like they could actually hear me this far along, ha ha not.
"Leah!" Mady shrieked, hearing what I said.
"I didn't actually say it! I wouldn't say that to the babies." I defended and tore off the cover of the first magazine. I tore it into tiny little pieces and went a head a scattered them among the ashes that were already in the bottom of the pit.
Mady put some kerosene over the wood, flicked a match, and flames went everywhere.
"Burn baby, burn!" Avery laughed, clapping her hands as we watched the sparks fly. Her and Mady took hand fulls of the magazines and started ripping out the articles as well.
***
"Ohhh, this is sweet!" Avery said as she slurped up her melted marshmallow and chocolate. I took a bite of my third one, gram cracker crumbs falling all over me. I laughed and looked over at Mady who had a stick over the fire and a s'mor in the other hand.
We had gotten through five bags of magazines, in about three hours, feeding the fire with the paper we destroyed when the flame got too low.
Mady held up a magazine, that we haven't torn apart, and looked at the cover in concentration. "Do you ever just want to grab someones face between your hands, look them in the eyes and just...shake 'em like a crying baby!" She shouted the last part making Avery burst in to laughter.
"You are never touching my children!" I shrieked and wrapped my arms around my torso as best I can.
"Is it possible to get drunk off of grape juice?" Mady held her half empty wine glass up in the air and rolled her head back. We all laughed.
I fixed my fourth and final s'mor, and didn't wast a second to stuff it in my mouth.
Harry's POV:
"Well, now that that is settled," Brad finished up with the contract, that after all the arguing I told him I would never sign in my entire life, he then explained that there was another way that could make this contract official. He stuffed it in his brief case then turned back to us.
I was slumped in my seat looking at the table, not daring to look him in the face. It was taking every ounce of my being not to explode on this man and curse him out. I will have to talk to Simon about this later. What am I going to tell Leah? Damn, this guy just made my life one hundred times harder!
"I will let you know when your trip to California will be later on in the month. As for now-"
"Whoa, California? Since when did you plan on shipping us there?" Louis spoke up, slamming his fist on the table.
"Since now." He sighed and glared at Louis making him shut up. Usually no one ca stop Louis' big mouth, but Brad is pretty intimidating.
"I would let you guys go now, but I think you need to meet someone first."
I straightened up in my seat, and finally looked up. "Who?" The next second, the door swung open and the sound of heels clicking against tile caught everyone's attention. I was the last one to turn around and it felt like the air was literally knocked out of me.
"Didn't think you would see me again did you?"
Leah's POV:
For the past hour we have gone through another bag of magazines, too busy laughing at stupid jokes.
"Okay Okay."Avery waved her hands in the arm to get us to stop. "What time should the guys be back?"
I was about to open my mouth when we heard the front door slam shut. "Now?" I looked over my shoulder and saw Harry's dark form walk into the kitchen and looking around. "Harry!" I called out, catching his attention. He walked this way and over to me, I was smiling up at him till I saw his face.
For some reason he looked older. He had three little wrinkles between his eyebrows, his lips in a firm line, and his eyes were a little wider than normal.
"Babe, are you OK?" I asked reaching up, wrapping my hand around his arm. He looked down at me and gritted his teeth, nodding once. He looked around on the ground and then stepped forward picking up one of the magazines still in tack.
"Why do you have this?" He asked looking at the cover.
"We were just b-burning them." I stuttered. He chucked it down to the ground with too much force and ran his hands through his hair. I looked at the other girls. They nodded.
"We better get going." Mady rushed, taking the other bags full of magazines with her when her and Avery made a quick run away. Once they were gone, Harry collapsed back into the chair beside me.
"Harry, you don't look fine. What's wrong?" I stood up and walked in front of him, taking a seat on the foot rest in front of him.
"I..I don't need to stress you out with problems from management." He sighed rubbing hands over his face.
"You know that I am going to be stressing over you, knowing that your stressed about something that you won't tell me. I'm going to worry either way." I tried to convince him to tell me, but he kept his head hung low and just shook his head.
"You just need to try to relax." I said rubbing my hands over his thighs trying to sooth him.
"I don't think I can." he huffed.
"Well..." I trailed off waiting for an idea to come to me. "Why don't I go draw you a hot bath, and then I'll give you a nice back rub?" I took his hands and squeezed them tightly. He looked up at me and I wiggled my eyebrows. He finally cracked a small smile.
"That sounds nice."
"Well, I'll go get it started." I smiled and stood up kissing his head and then making my way to the house. I hope he can get over this, what ever it is.
(( Should the next chapter be this bath/back rub scene?[might get a little fluffy] Just want your opinion lol. As soon as you tell me what you want the sooner the next chapter will be up :D
BTW, I picture Miranda, the desk lady, as Lynda Carter. She played Wonder Woman in the original episodes from 1975-1979. And Brad as Bill Rancic, E! News.))
