Can't Wait

Leah's POV:

After I was cleaned up Harry led me downstairs to my parents. When we walked in, my dad had my baby sister, Olivia in his arms, and my mom was shuffling through the diaper bag. When she saw me she dropped everything and ran over to me throwing her arms around my neck.

"Oh sweetie, how are you?" My mom gushed.

"I'm doing great, mom. How are you?" I asked and pulled away.

"I've been anxious to get down here, and see you," She put her hand on my cheek, "But we actually have some news to tell you." She had a look of concern on her face as she pulled me over to the couch. I sat between my mom and dad. While Harry went to occupy the chair across from the couch.

"Hey Leah." My dad greeted me and hugged me with Olivia still in his arms.

"Hey daddy." I smiled, "Hey Olivia." I said in a some what baby voice. I took her out of my dads hands and into mine. I held her up in front of me and her big brown eyes looked at me. I rubbed my nose against hers and gently shook her a bit. She broke out into fits of giggles, making me smile. I laid her down on my knees, making sure to support her head.

"So what did you want to tell me?" I turned to my mom.

"It's not that big of a deal, we just wanted to let you know, but um...you know how Carly is suppose to have twins?" I nodded, "Well, they went back to the doctor and they said she only has one baby." my heart sank.

"Was it a miscarriage?" I asked wearily.

"No, she never had twins in the first place. The doctor just thought she saw another, but she didn't." A sence of reliefe washed over me. I looked up at Harry and he was just staring at Olivia on my lap. I smirked and pulled her up to my chest and stood up.

"Mom can you hand me her blanket?" my mom nodded and pulled out a brown and pink zebra print blanket. I took it and walked around the coffee table.

"Harry, come here?" I said. He stood from the chair and walked over to me, "Spread this on the floor." He did as told, crouching down and spreading the blanket out and stood back up. "Now sit on the ground." he gave me a confused look but did it anyways. Once he was sat down he looked up at me waiting for my next instructions. I took Olivia away from my chest and handed her down to him. His eyes were blown wide open as his missive hands took hold of her fragile little body. He brought her down to him and sat her on the blanket, his hands still on her back. "Now you can entertain her while I take my parents to the kitchen." I smiled and pat him on head.

"You want a drink?" I asked my parents. My dad nodded and stood from the couch. My mom smiled and sent me a quick wink and followed my dad. I took one last look at Harry making stupid baby faces before leading my mom and dad to the kitchen.

"Oh hey Mady, Louis." I smiled at the two who were perched on the counter top. "Mom, dad, you know Mady and this is Louis." I introduced them.

"Hey Mady, Hello Louis." my mother shook their hands.

"Hello Mrs. Anderson." Louis gretted her politly.

"Oh Louis, call me Cindy." She smiled, and Louis smiled back.

"I'm Ross." My dad introduced himself and shook Louis hand.

"So how has everything been here?" My dad ask, taking a seat at the bar. I pulled out a can of Dr. Pepper and a glass of tea handing it to my mom and dad.

"Pretty good." Mady answered.

"How are you?" My mother turned her full attention to me. In other words, she meant how is the baby.

"Prettty good. Some morning sickness, tenderness." I shrugged.

"How has everyone handled it?" My dad asked.

I shrugged again, "Pretty good, I'm pretty sure the girls are excited about the shopping to be done," I looked at Mady and she smiled, "the boys are happy, Harry is really happy, and he says he's ready for it." I paused and took a breath.

"Harry's family is beyond thrilled. I'm sure Gemma will tag along with the shopping. It's going to be Anne's first grandchild, so she is ecstatic about it ." I laughed.

"That's good. We haven't seen Anne in ages." My mother sighed, but then her head snapped towards the living room as we heard Olivia start to cry.

"Mom dont worry, Harry can take care of her. He needs practice anyway." I convnced her to let it be. She sighed and nodded.

"Fine, well another thing I wanted to talk about was you two girls moving to London." I knew that was coming.

"We will be staying at Harry's house, we can always fly back whenever we want, you can fly over when ever you want..." I started to list all the positives of moving.

"Well, it think it would be good, and you are an adult now so I cant keep you here," she strained a laugh, "I would like to see my grandchild, but what ever is best we will support you in.

"Thanks mom. I'm going to go check on Harry real quick." I whispered and quietly walked to the living room.

When I got in there I smiled and leaned against the door way. I didin't want to disturb them, so just watched from a distance.

Harry's POV:

When Leah handed me Olivia I didn't know what to do. She was so tiny that I thought if I touched her she would break.

Once she was on the floor laying on her back, I didn't really know what to do. Once I watched Leah and her parents exit the living room, i turned my attention back to the infant in front of me. She had her little arm stretched up to me clenching her fingers into a fist over and over again.

I rabbed it and kissed her little nuckles, "Hey baby girl." I said in a baby voice. Olivia's face broke out into a toothless grin and high pitched giggles escaped her mouth. I smiled and picked her up to where it looked like she was standing on her feet. I attempted to make any faces to make her laugh, and it worked.

I was making a duckface and weird noises when she reached out and grabbed my lips. I made little kissy noises and she giggled again, but louder than last time.

"You know there is going to be another baby in the family soon." I whispered to her, of course she didn't under stand what I was saying, but I kept talking. "Leah has a little baby in her tummy, and soon your going to be an aunt. Crazy right?" It looked like she nodded her head and I laughed.

I scooted back to rest my back against the chair, probing my knees up and resting Olivia on her back on my legs.

I put my hands over my eyes, as if to play peek-a-boo but instead I was just making faces. One thing good about babies is that they will pretty much find entertainment in anything. I covered my face once again only to move my hands and make a weird face.

When I moveed my hands, my eyes were crossed and i stuck my tongue out. Olivia didn't laugh. The smile from her face went away and her eyes started to water up. Her bottom lip started to quiver and her eyes went wide. She started to whimper, and that soon turned into crying.

I pulled her to my shoulder and stood to my feet. I bounced her up and down walking across the room. Her sobs became a little quieter, but I'm sure they could still hear it from the kitchen. I softly hummed a random tune and her crying stop and turn back into little whimpers. I continued to hum and her breathing slowly became normal. I could also feel some of my shirt becomeing wet with her tears.

She turned her head to where her face was pressed against my neck. I smiled to myself, I cant wait to have my own child in my arms and make memories like this.

I stood facing the television, still swaying Olivia back and forth. I heard her sigh and she made a fist, holding my shirt.

I felt a pair of arms around my waist, so I turned around and looked down at Leah.

"Everything okay?" she asked. I nodded and kissed her head. "Good." she smiled and looked at her sister resting on my shoulder. "I think she is asleep, do you want me to put her down?" she asked and I shook my head.

"I got it, just get her blanket for me?" she nodded and did as told while I went over to the carrier. I placed my hand on her head and took her away from my shoulder and gently placed her in the seat. I didnt strap her in, but I covered her with the blanket Leah handed me.

I stood up and wrapped my arms arond Leah's waist. "She is an angel." I commented and she smiled.

"Yeah, and this one better be too." she placed a hand on her stomach.

"it will, it'll be just like its mommy." She smiled and reached up on her tip toes and kissed my lips.

"We might want to go save my parents from Louis." she laughed and I nodded dragging her to the kitchen.
