But hi. I'm writing this the day after I published the last chapter so yeah.

Btw the contest might not happen since I didn't see that many people interest but I will try to make a cover myself if required. I just feel like this book needs updating since my writing is better and my edit skills have slightly improved.

The streets of the city below were crowded, the morning rush of people heading to work or school filled the sidewalks and streets.

On top of a tall building stood a crouched figure scanning it all.
Raven hair fell in front of indigo eyes as the male took a deep breath, raising his spandex covered hand, pressing a device that was in his ear closer to hear.

"Are you sure everything is ready and working?"

"Yes, I tested everything before giving it to you. Everything should hold up and your shooters shouldn't explode."

"How can you be sure?" Keith asked with a chuckle as he smirked playfully, looking down at the stylish web shooters Pidge made out of old watches.

"Keith Kogane are you doubting my excellent tech work?" Pidge's voice ran through the communicator causing Keith to laugh more.

"Of course not!" Keith said as he pulled his mask on concealing his hair and face as he stood up straight.

"Its just my life now rests in your hands." The superhuman slime before he took a running start and jumped off the side of the building, smiling as he free fell through the air.

Extending his arm out, the new shooters reacted instantly, launching a string of web towards the target aimed at and stuck to it.
Keith gripped the string and swung his legs up then down, using the momentum to carry him forward before repeating the actions from building to building.

"Never underestimate a genius Kogane."

Keith rolled his eyes as he continued to swing, smiling as adrenaline pulled through his body. He shot a web at a reflective building and pulled himself towards it. When he got close enough and let go and flew through the air and stuck to the side, looking forward at his reflection.

Staring back at him was a man in a red, blue and black spider suit. Keith tilted his head slightly as he stared closely at the reflection. This suit was amazing. It was easy to move in but Keith felt that it could offer some protection just not much but it was perfect for him.
His enhanced abilities would make it easier to dodge attacks but with the suit his clothes didn't get caught on anything and he could easily hide the suit in his bag.

"Hunk you did an amazing job on the suit, I never knew you could sew." Keith said as he started to scale the building, a new found confidence in him while also pride and love for his friends.

"Does it fit alright? The material almost killed my mother's sewing machine. The mask was impossible to make but I hope it looks ok. You asked for a spider theme so I tried some ideas before I got that one so I hope it's alright."

Hunk's rambling sounded in the communicator causing Keith to chuckle.
"Hunk it's fine, everything is perfect." He said as he reached the top of the building and stood up, looking around.

"Ok guys, what's the police say?" Keith asked as he kept his gaze down on the streets. Pidge started listing off crimes and emergencies when Keith heard police sirens.

"What's the one that's going down 35th boulevard now?" Keith asked as he saw multiple police cars speeding after a black van.

"Uhhh... there was a delivery that got hijacked. The vehicle contains plutonium crystals. Keith if that car crashes and those crystals are exposed to heat then it could level 7 blocks."

Keith listened and quickly chased after the van on the tops of buildings.
"I'm going in." He said as he shot some web and jumped off the building and swung down towards the police cars and the van.
Letting go of the web he landed in a crouch on the top of the police car that was in front of the chase.
He looked around the area carefully before he started his plan.

Shooting two webs at the van he shot himself off the police car and landed on the back of the van before quickly crawling his way to the drivers side.

Knocking on the window he motioned the driver to roll the window down.

"Yes, hello. I'm not sure if you've noticed but you are terrible at driving. May I recommend a driver's ED class?" Keith said as he stroked his chin.

The driver growled and swung to punch Keith but the raven quickly dodged and shook his head.

"Man you suck at punching as well." Keith said before he quickly right hooked the driver.

The driver rubbed his jaw and growled as he swerved sharply to the left to try and knock Keith off while also trying to escape the cops. While doing so he cause cars on the right to collide together, tumbling and flipping to try and stop but only made it worse.

Keith felt his spider sense tick off as the van rounded the corner. Thinking quick he leapt off the van while calling back to the driver, "uno momento my friend," before he swung quickly towards the wreak of cars.

His spider sense went into high gear as he neared the tumbling cars, everything slowing down.
Keith was in midair as he shot a web on both sides of the street and stuck it in the middle to stop the sliding cars before something else nagged him. Turning around he saw a rogue car slowly fly towards someone crossing the street.

Quick on his feet Keith ran mad jumped on the buildings to the side before he extended his legs and pushed off, shooting both webs at once. One went and attached itself to the person crossing while the other stuck to the top of a near by building.

Keith yanked on both web strands and wrapped his arm around the persons waist as he got close enough and held him close as he swung away from the crash.

Keith heard the person yelp out in surprise before gripping onto the superhuman tightly. Once they were out of the way of the collision Keith swung to the ground and carefully set the person down finally getting a good look at who it was.

Wide, scared and curious blue eyes stared back at him as they still held onto the masked hero.
Keith, fighting back his stutter looked at Lance intently though the other couldn't tell from his mask.

"Are you ok?" Keith asked as he held Lance's arms and looked him over for injuries.
"N-no.. thank you." Lance said as he took ragged breaths, not expecting to almost die but get saved by the infamous Spider-Man.

Keith smiled and nodded before Pidge nagged in his ear about the van.
Keith looked around and saw Lance's bag on the ground and quickly webbed it to him and handed it to the shocked Cuban.

"Well I'm glad you are ok. Now if you excuse me I have to stop a reckless driver. I'll see you soon." Keith said saluting Lance as he webbed the side of the building and swung away quickly, leaving the shocked Lance.

"Why don't you just tell him you like him already?" Pidge said as they continued to track the hijack chase. Keith ignored them as he reached the van once again. He stuck back against the drivers side and smirked.

"I'm back and it's time to let Jesus take the wheel." Keith said punched the guy hard before he reached over to try and take control of the van. The driver put up a fight before Keith stuck a web against the drivers forehead and yanked on the string, causing the guy to slam his head on the horn.

Keith kept dodging the guys attacks as he tried to knock the raven off. Finally Keith shot web at the drivers face, hands and feet, trapping him.
To late for that though as Keith noticed the speed the van was going. Reaching over he tried to pull on the emergency brake only for it to snap off.

"Oh- oh great just what I needed." Keith said sarcastically as he chuckled the broken brake to the side. Jumping to the hood of the car he scanned the area before shooting web on both sides of the street and stuck it to the front of the van before jumping down to hang off the front of it. Sticking two more webs to the sides of building Keith held them tightly and pulled as he tried to slow it down.

His muscles strained as the speeding van slowly slowed down.
The raven grunted as he put his feet down on the pavement and held the strings tighter before the car slowed to a stop.

Taking a deep breath he let the strings go before he opened the drivers side door and pulled the hijacker out and onto the street where a crowd had gathered to watch, some taking videos of everything that happened.

The police soon showed up and got out, pointing their guns at Keith and the hijacker.
"Hands in the air!" The chief said as they slowly inched towards the two.

"Its Ok! You're friendly neighborhood Spider-Man took care of it." Keith said smirk g slightly as he looked at the cops.

"Man in the red and blue suit hands in the air!" The chief yelled again, louder this time.
Keith looked at the police with a tilted head, confused and insulted.

"Are you serious? I just did your job for you. You should be thanking me." Keith said as he walked towards them. One police man shot at him but Keith dodged and shot a web at the gun and pulled away from him and on the ground.

"I should get a thanks for helping you." He said before he shot a web up and got a running start before he swung away, making a quick s d confusing route to loose the cops.

"Keith you don't have time to make it home and change. Meet us at school in the bathroom in the back we will bring your stuff and some clothes." Pidge spoke as Keith heard shifting in the ear piece.

Keith sighed and nodded before he changed his course to go to school.

"Guess the school gets a friendly visit from Altea's own hero." He said sarcastically as he swung from building to building.

"Keith Kogane you are late."

"By one minute!" Keith said as arrived to class late.

The teacher sighed but dismissed the late. She explained that the class was just having a study hour for now. Keith nodded and was about to go to his seat before someone yanked him down into the empty chair next to them.

"Keith! You'll never guess what happened this morning!" The excited voice of Lance rang through his ears.

Blushing Keith looked at Lance confused as he set his bag down.
Lance started to explain his morning, describing the whole Spider-Man ordeal.

"You should have seen it, it was awesome though scary cause I didn't expect it. Not to mention Spider-Man really has muscles. Like wow I felt them through the suit, which really suites him." Lance rambled causing Keith's blush to grow.

Keith chuckled as he listened to Lance talk nodding and reacting like he had just heard this for the first time.

"You know I think someone got a video of it let me check." Lance said getting excited as he grabbed his phone and started to search online. Keith nodded and grabbed his phone and started to text Pidge and Hunk.

'Lance is just telling me about the infamous Spider-Man saved him' -K

'Ooooo get some Keith.' -P

'Are you ever going to tell him that you are Spider-Man?' -H

'No. It's too dangerous to tell him. If I am supposed to be a hero then I will have enemies coming after me. It's already a risk with you two. Gotta go Lance.' -K

' Go gettem spider boy.' -P

Keith put his phone up as Lance leaned closer and pressed play on the video that started when the van took the sharp turn into the cars.

Keith watched as video him swooped down and saved Lance. Smiling softly he watched the rest of the video before leaning back.

"Seems like you keep running into Spider-Man a lot hm?" Keith asked and Lance nodded before the bell rang. Had that much time had passed?
It couldn't have, must be the author getting lazy and not writing a proper way to end this and save her poor babes from that awkward ending.

(Shut the fuck up Keith I'm doing my best, IT'S THE LAST DAY OF FINALS WEEK)

Keith shook his head and started to pack his bag up before a tan hand stopped him. Looking up he saw Lance and tilted his head curiously as he fought a blush off.

"Would you like.. would you, Hunk and Pidge ever want to hang out sometime? I mean I think it would be fun." Lance said as he scratched the back of his head, looking at Keith sheepishly.

The raven chuckled and nodded.
"I would love to, just text me when and I'll get them. But for now let's try to not be late for class." Keith said smiling before the both of them walked to their next class.

Sendek's Point of View

Tired eyes glanced up at the screen in pure exhaustion. Sighing the doctor pressed the simulator button and closed his eyes as he listened to the robotic voice narrate the process of giving the hologram rat a dosage of the serum. Sighing as he heard this process over and over he said the words at the same time as the disembodied voice.

"Experiment failed."
"Serum accepted, running diagnose."

Sendek fell out of his chair, wide awake as he heard those words. Getting back him his bloodshot eyes looking at the green lit up screen watching as the serum worked. Confused Sendek read if the preprogrammed notes and noted a change in the last one. Someone had put in a new formula that made the serum compatible.

Working quickly he got the serum made and let out a shaky laugh when a voice spoke up.

"You finally did it."

Turning around Sendek saw Haggar there with a briefcase.

"Have you tested on real animals yet? My employer wants to move on to human trails as soon as possible." She said as typed quick on her phone.

"I need time, I haven't done animal trails yet but-" Sendek tried to talk but was cut quickly off by a harsh glare from the white haired female.

"So you've done nothing? Very well then, following my bosses orders you've been shut down. We will take it from here and move straight to human trails." She spoke as she took the serum from his robotic hand, chuckling in a downgrading demeanor.

"Maybe we will start with the children's hospital across the bridge?" Haggar said as she walked out of the building.

Sendek stood dumbfounded as he just let his entire life's work walk away. As he came to his senses he glared at the door Haggar left from before quickly working to make another serum, not wanting to give up.

He finally got another dosage of serum and put it in a syringe before carefully taking off his robotic arm.

Taking a deep breath he inserted the needle into his stub of an arm (I'm sorry if this is offensive idk how else to word it) and injected the serum.

Suddenly a red light and a loud alarm blared out.

"Serum evolving..."

Wide eyes Sendek looked over to see the hologram rat that accepted the serum start changing into something hideous.

He looked at the changed rat then at his arm then the way Haggar left.

"Shit..." he said before screaming in pain, doubling over as everything blacked out.

Hi so I started writing this right after the last chapter but then I got writers block so I delayed it then finals came up but since Christmas is around the corner I decided to try and finish this so I can focus on the Christmas Special chapter in writing!

It will not be part of the story it will be there just for feels and squeals.

I will be posting the Christmas Special on Christmas so sorry if you get in trouble with your family for reading it xD.

Sorry the ending is trash but comment any mistakes you see please and leave any ideas in the comments it helps a lot.
