Annabeth-

My team was the first to make it back to Percy and the others, so we had some time to talk.

We weren't going to introduce Rachel until the others got back, just to save the trouble.

"Percy, can we talk?" I asked him.

He looked up at me and nodded, we walked to an empty room at the end of the hall.

Upon arrival, we sat on the chairs that were placed in there, and I decided to end the silence.

"I'm thankful and all, but why did you continue living? After everyone died, I expected you to.. you know.." I asked him as I twirled some of my hair in my fingers.

He looked down at the floor, a frown on his face, and rubbing the back of his neck.

He was quiet for a few minutes, but then finally spoke. "I wanna say it's because of you.. but in all honesty I was ready to die for you.."

"What kept you going?" I inquired.

"Well, it was Grover.." Percy sighed. "He's one of my best friends, even if I don't see him much.. we have an empathy link and everything.. and if I died.. so would he.."

I was surprised with his answer, which was quite intelligent. I also had forgotten about the empathy link completely.

"Where is Grover?" I asked. I hadn't seen him in so long, I started to miss him and our first adventure together as a team, when Percy was accused of stealing the lightning bolt.

Let's just say if you go to the Underworld with someone, they'll become a great friend to you, so of course I missed him.

"I assume he'll be joining us with the fight." Percy spoke. He kicked the edge of the chair.

I noticed then that a tear was falling down his cheeks.

"Per-"

"I never thought I'd see you again.. and here you are.. and I'm gonna have to lose you again after the battle.." he cried.

I grabbed him and pulled him into an embrace. He started to sob on my shoulder, which I allowed. Tears started to trail down my face, and my lips trembled; but I held the sobs in.

"Look Percy, not everything is fair. I'm dead, that's true.. but I'm here right now, and that's better than me being dead. Sure, I'll be leaving you again, but for now, let's forget about that. We have a battle to fight." I smiled.

"I don't want to go through it all over again.. and now more people will die!"

I frowned, breaking away from the hug, "you were so brave the first time, Percy.. it might be difficult at first, but you can get through it all.."

"Easy for you to say.." he mumbled.

"Dying isn't fun, Percy. I have people in Elysium, but what if some people chose rebirth like Bianca did?! I won't be able to see them again, and living without you is so difficult.." I sighed, "but I know what you faced was worse. What I'm saying is that it's going to be hard, but I know you'll be able to move on."

Percy cupped my chin, wiping a tear from my face with his thumb. He leaned in and kissed me, and I kissed back.

He broke away, and grinned. "Then while you're here, I won't think about the future."

"You'll always be my seaweed brain." I grinned as I stood up.

"And you'll always be my wise girl."

He stood up as well, and we started walking back to the others.

"If my mom was here, do you think she'd be proud of me?" He asked.

I held his hand and smiled at him "she'd always be proud of you, Percy. She might not be able to tell you anymore, but she's always proud of you."

"Thanks Wise girl, I needed that." He grinned.

"No problem, seaweed brain."

"If they all make it out alive, then I'll have the avengers to help me when you go back." Percy smiled, looking at the picture of all the avengers on the wall.

"That's good. I'll be waiting for you in Elysium, but you better not show up until it's your time." I warned.

"Don't worry, I'm not going to do anything stupid." He squeezed my hand.

"Good." I smiled.

I wanted to write a chapter, this is what I could come up with because I'm still planning out the next chapter.

I also started writing the Percy Jackson and Harry Potter crossover! It's going well so I'm thinking about posting it soon! If you want, comment what your hopes are for it!

Anyways, I should get to writing more of it, to make sure it'll work out how I want it to.
