Siberia
Steve landed the Quinjet next to a caterpillar truck on a remote icy mountain top. Bucky stood and pulled out a rack of guns labeled 'Romanoff' before taking a light machine gun. I stood next to him as the ramp descended.
"You remember that time we had to ride back from Rockaway Beach in the back of that freezer truck?" Steve asked. Bucky looked at him.
"Was that the time we used our train money to buy hot dogs?"
"You blew three bucks trying to win that stuffed bear for a redhead."
"What was her name again?"
"Dolores. You called her Dot."
"She's gotta be a hundred years old right now." Steve looked up at him, clamping a hand on Bucky's shoulder.
"So are we, pal." I shook my head.
"God, you're so old." Bucky smiled and shoved my head, and I laughed as we walked up to a door set into the rock in the mountain.
"He can't have been here more than a few hours," Steve said. Bucky shook his head.
"Long enough to wake them up." Steve led us into the cast bunker, where we traveled down into the depths inside a caged elevator. It stopped in the bowels of the bunker, doors sliding open. Steve nodded to us and heaved up the cage door. Bucky readied his heavy duty machine gun as I clenched my fists, and we walked along the corridor, keeping close to the wall. Bucky looked into an alcove full of junk, and we moved on up some stairs. At the sound of a loud thud we spun around, looking down the corridor.
"You ready?" Steve asked.
"Yeah," Bucky replied quietly. I nodded, and the double doors of the elevator parted, revealing the helmet of Tony's suit. We stared in surprise, and Tony walked towards us, his helmet opening up.
"You seem a little defensive," he said. I rolled my eyes. Bucky kept his gun up while Steve walked to meet Tony with his shield covering his body.
"It's been a long day," he said. Tony looked up at Bucky and I.
"At ease, Soldier," he said. "I'm not currently after you."
"Then why are you here?" I asked.
"Could be your story's not so crazy. Maybe. Ross has no idea I'm here. I'd like to keep it that way. Otherwise, I gotta arrest myself." Steve nodded.
"Well, that sounds like a lot of paperwork." He lowers his shield. "It's good to see you, Tony."
"You too, Cap." He looked back at Bucky. "Hey, Manchurian Candidate, you're killing me. There's a truce here. You can drop..." Steve motioned for Bucky to lower his weapon and he did, but I kept my fists clenched.
The four of us cautiously walked along a corridor, and Tony reengaged his helmet, scanning for anyone else.
"I got heat signatures," he said. Seve looked at him.
"How many?" he asked.
"Uh, one."
