Chapter 20

*Bhairavi Pov*

"Princess!" it was about a few minutes since I climbed into the vessel but the word didn't stop leaving from many people's mouth.

"I am so glad that you are safe, Princess Bhairavi. We all thought that you are no more." King Vali uttered with pleasant tone who turned out to be the one found me near the shore.

"How could you come here for the war by yourself with less number of soldiers?" I questioned him after we are already far away from the land of Nadir.

"To prove your people that I am not going against their royals. I recently took the ruling on it, but not a single person is ready to be ruled by anyone other than you." He explained and I gripped the railing feeling ashamed of myself for giving up on them while they were more than determined.

"If I didn't return to thank the person who saved my life then we wouldn't have found you. This life I am living is because of you Princess as we didn't know that there are so many people as per the news Council got. All the people on this vessel are obligated to be at your service for saving the lives of all of us." He added and everyone bowed to us.

"I will take the help I will need in the near future." I uttered before turning away to glance at the water.

I felt my eyes dried with not a single tear ready to flow after hearing the words of King Vali about my people. I have a duty to perform but I neglected it and left it which made me have a punishment for my irresponsibility, but it will not happen again until my last breath.

"There is a pirate ship travelling to the way of Nadir land." Some warrior uttered making me glance at the ship.

"Stop them!" I ordered and rushed to the other side to be near to the ship.

"Order them to not touch anyone of the Nadir otherwise the whole Council will be on their back to finish them off." I uttered glancing at King Vali.

He couldn't stop a frown, but did as I asked him to and as I thought they were cowards to have any spat with the Council in a direct way so they moved to sail away.

I sighed and closed my eyes not angry at myself for thinking about the welfare of the people belonging to that land. They gave me shelter for all this time and I do not keep favors of others in my side.

We reached Tanika the evening of following day which is near to the shore but to reach Agatha there will be the Council to pass and it is so protected into the land that no one from outside can enter it without Council knowing about it or the royals of Agatha.

"You take the rest after reaching your Kingdom, Princess Bhairavi. I will inform the Council regarding your return." King Vali uttered.

"I need to present myself before them as Royal so give me some moments of time after we reach the Kingdom and we both will leave for the Council." I suggested and he nodded before we we entered the land which belong to me.

When few people stopped the things they do everyday to glance at me, feeling the shock and then shouted "Princess!"

I can see the genuine happiness of the people and I wish I didn't get distracted and returned soon for here if this is how my people would feel for me.

After freshening up without uttering a single word with anyone with the help of my personal maid who is still here to serve me, I wore the gown which would be appropriate to meet the Council.

"We can leave now!" I mumbled stepping near to King Vali and he nodded before calling for a chariot and climbed into it.

"Princess Bhairavi! We still cannot believe that you are standing infront of us." One Council member uttered, and I can see that most of them are with normal expressions.

"Where else will I be, Sir. This is my land and I need to be here. I hope the funeral of my Parents have been taken care of in a proper way." I uttered.

"We did everything by ourselves for them. Now tell us how are you and how did you fight all the terrors that got thrown at you?" The elder member asked in a gentle tone.

"How can you send the people for a war without knowing the proper number of people they are fighting against?" I asked him not answering his question.

"Seems to us that we were given the wrong number by that dead man." They started talking between themselves.

"King Vali! We can see that the war against the Nadir is lost from your side. Do you have anything to say about it?" One member questioned him.

"I wish the people of Nadir to be protected by Council from this moment onwards." I placed my wish out making all of them to stare at me in shock.

"They are outsiders and they kept you captive all this time." Elder uttered with a shake of his head.

"They did as they do not know me being a Princess and thought I am there to put their secrets before you all. They helped me to come out of Ramsey's clutches and extinguish him with ease. They gave me protection until I got into the vessel which brought me here. This is the least we can do for their kindheartedness." I explained fisting my hands.

"I back her up with the decision and as she is also the ruler of Palmer with the extinguishing of Ramsey done by her, you all will not be thinking about losing these three Kingdoms." King Vali stated when everything is still in silence with no one uttering anything.

"Fine! We all give you the word that the land of people will not be harmed and any harm to them will be removed." They all accepted to it and I sighed fisting my hands more because from this second I have nothing to do with any of those people.

*Alastair Pov*

I returned from the riding at the morning light of the following day to see Gavin waiting for me. I ignored him not wanting to have any word with anyone and started walking near to the chambers to see about the King.

"She left with the King Vali." His words stopped me in my tracks making me fist my hands.

"So she finally accepted her deceiving then." I mumbled before walking away this time to the hut.

I glanced around to see the cots and then the sword which belongs to the Colton. I glared at all of it and started throwing the apparel's everywhere and sat on the cot.

Why had I even believed her from the beginning? I thought holding my head and stood up when I heard a knock.

"What is it?" I questioned Jacey with hard tone.

"Do not use that tone on me when you are the one who is wrong here." She replied with a glare at me.

"Colton woke up and is asking for you." She added before turning around to walk away and I followed her with relief that he is alive.

"Alastair!" Colton mumbled when I stepped inside.

"I am glad that you are alive." I uttered sitting beside him.

"Where is Bhairavi?" He asked, glancing around making me fist my hands.

"I need to thank her for saving my life." He added before I can explain what happened making me sit in stun.

"But we thought she was the one who hurt you." I mumbled, making him frown and explained everything to him.

"No! She saved me and if not for her then I would have lost my life on that land itself." Colton said shaking his head.

"Her Pal believes her, but not her husband. I forgot that you are not even that right?" Jacey uttered in a mocking way.

"His highness himself said that she is betraying our land and needed to be punished." I uttered standing up.

"My Father didn't open his eyes from the time he closed them on the war place. My brother lied to you so open your eyes, Alastair. I wish I was there to tell the truth, but I got to know it just now as I was with Colton all this time." Jacey shouted at me making me stumble back.

"Why would he lie?" I asked myself feeling the dread entering the heart.

"History is repeating in another way, Alastair. He is like your Father." Colton replied before trying to sit up, but Jacey scolded making him lie back.

"His Highness has woken up." We heard a voice of the Warrior from behind and we both left, leaving Colton as he shouldn't be walking for a few moments with the wounds patched recently.

"Where is Bhairavi? I need to thank her for thinking about our land before all of us and stopped the war." His highness uttered when he was moved outside, making everyone see him, and I am seconds away from falling on my knees.

Jacey explained to him everything that happened after he explained everything that happened when Bhairvai intervened them. I closed my eyes, wishing I would turn the day and didn't do this blunder losing her.

"I need to go and look for her." I mumbled to myself stepping back to leave the place.

"We saw a pirate ship reaching near to the land and then leaving after few moments." Hearing those words from the guard who look over the border put my heart into horror thoughts.

"He lied to me even about this." I stated when we saw that he is no where to be seen.

"Go and search for your future Queen now." King shouted at all of us and we realized we didn't tell him about that matter.

We all rushed near to the ship of ours with many warriors boarding it without my order and started travelling to search for the pirate ship and get her back before any harm happens to her and hope to rectify my blunder while not letting her leave me even if it means I will endure any punishment.
