"The year after I finished college, I got the job of a life-time! I aced every test, I took classes from Biology, Physics, Chemistry, English Literature, and every other advanced class, and aced every test. I got a call for an interview, and I thought I was gonna faint."

Rebecca grabbed her phone when it began to ring, "Unknown Caller" it read, she answered it. "Miss Lynn?" A voice asked, "Yes, who is this?" She asked, "This is Tony Stark" The man on the other line said, "Yeah sure, and I'm Abraham Lincoln." She replied sarcastically, "Switch to video chat." The voice said, and she did. Tony Stark's face appeared, "Holy shit..." She muttered. "Right, now that you believe me, I have an offer for you. I noticed how you excelled in every class you took, you're just the kind of person I need to be my...kind of....'assistant'" He explained, "Come in for an interview tomorrow afternoon at my house, I'll send directions, and we can talk in person okay?" He asked, "Y-yeah. See you then.." She stuttered, "I look forward to it." He replied, and she hung up.

"An interview...with the Tony Stark? Holy shit.." She breathed out. Rebecca was already in her late twenties, she spent eight years in college, because she took so many courses, though she didn't need to due to her powers. She readied her outfit for her interview tomorrow, "I might be working with IRON MAN!" She yelled out and did a little dance. 

*The next day* 

She got dressed and got into her car, and drove to the coordinates Tony had sent her. She drove up the driveway and got out of her car, she knocked on the door, a heavily built man answered, "Can I help you?" He asked, "I'm here to see Mr.Stark about an interview.." She said nervously, "He never told me about an intervie-" "Ah! Miss Lynn, Happy let her in." A voice said, Rebecca saw him, THE TONY STARK, was standing a few feet from her, "Nice to meet you in person Mr.Lincoln." Tony said sarcastically with a smirk. "heh, right. Nice to meet you Mr.Stark." She smiled.

"Follow me, please." He said, and she did. They went into Tony's work shop, and began talking. "So, if you don't mind my asking, how did you do it?" He asked, "Do what?" asked Rebecca, "Get 100% on every test, even I couldn't do that, probably." He replied, "You wouldn't believe me if I told you.." She trailed off, "Try me." He said, "Alright, well...I have some kind of powers, I can read minds, sometimes, once I get to know someone, and I can feel emotions, and I'm extremely smart, like smarter then Einstein and You combined.." She explained, "I believe you." Tony said, "Really?" "Yeah! I built a suit out of metal, and have a crazy piece of metal running my body, of course I believe you." He said.

"I got the job working with Tony, and we became very good friends very fast. We were one in the same, both sarcastic and cocky, and we had intelligent conversations, something I rarely had with others." 

*Time skip to a year later*

"Rebecca, that is almost as good as my suits."Tony said with a smirk, Rebecca had made her own 'iron man' suit. "What're you gonna do with it?" He asked, "I dunno, help you fight evil? Scare the shit outta people?" She laughed. "I could use a side-kick" He smirked, "Sidekick my ass!" She replied with a smirk.

"Y'know you're awfully mean to your boss." He stated, "I don't see you as my boss anymore, you're more like my brother who I can be as mean to as I want!" She punched his arm.  "So, have you picked a 'superhero' name?" Asked Tony, "Metal Maiden." Rebecca stated. "S'got a nice ring to it." He side-hugged her. Tony and Rebecca became best friends over the course of a year, they were like siblings, always hanging out and working together, but Rebecca's world would change when she met the Avengers.

Tony got a call one evening while lighting up Stark tower, his and Pepper's nice moment spoiled by some 'Agent Coulson.' "You can come too Miss Lynn, Director Fury's been keeping tabs on you, and he knows about your intelligence. We could use you on our team." He explained, and next thing they knew, they were on an air cruiser. "Miss Lynn, meet the Avengers. Your new team." Said Director Fury. She looked at them all in awe, but she stopped when she saw a man in a purple shirt, looking shyly at the ground, "Natasha Romanoff,  Thor, you already know Tony, Steve Rogers, and Bruce Banner. Clint Barton is MIA.." He said, Rebecca's eyes lingered on Bruce Banner, "Wait, you're Bruce Banner? Your work in Gamma Radiation is amazing, I've read so much about you!" She said as she shook his hand, "Your not gonna freak out about the fact that I'm a monster?" He asked with a huff, "No, that doesn't scare me, I'm more interested in you and your field of science." She replied with a smile.

Tony, Rebecca, and Bruce began working on doing tests on the tessaract. Others came in, and began arguing, Bruce was held at gun point because he was getting angry. "What? So you can kill me? You can't believe me, I tried. I got low, and didn't see a way out, so I put a bullet in my mouth and the other guy spit it out." He said, Rebecca and Tony looked at him sympathetically, because they knew what he was going through, in a way. After that ordeal, Rebecca sat beside Bruce, and smiled at him. "I'm sorry." She said, "For what? I should be apologizing for losing my cool.." He said, "Nah, they would've gotten on my nerves too, I have a short temper." She explained, "Not as short as mine" Bruce chuckled, "I think we'll make good friends Dr.Banner." Rebecca said with a smile, "I hope so." Bruce replied.
