What the heck are you doing?!

You can't control yourself... I scolded myself.

You are the one who was so eager to switch your own seat with literally anyone and now when you got your seat changed you are doing this. right?

You are literally unpredictable!!. Idiot.

I again scolded myself while I slumped down on a bench. I was lost in my own thoughts when a familiar voice snapped me out.

"Let's dig in."

I looked at the owner of this voice which had interrupted my train of thoughts. I smiled. Lily sat next to me and started opening her green colored tiffin box.

"What's inside? " I asked curiously, trying to peek inside her tiffin box. My eagerness can be sensed just by looking at the pep in my eyes which were sparking with excitement. She chuckled. Well everyone know how much I love food.

"Well I have three sandwiches. Here these two sandwiches are for you" She handed me those sandwiches and gave a gentle smile. I literally love her smile. She is my best friend since so many years and we kinda enjoy each other's company. She knows all my secrets. And most importantly she understands me.Well, simply she is my crony.

I took a bite from her sandwich. I closed my eyes and waited for the cheese to melt... "It's yumm... Yaar" I cried out with joy. She chuckled. Looking at me who replenished her mouth again with it to experience the same cheesy effect again.

"So any news about someone or about something?" I asked her while opening my own tiffin box. My soul screaming with joy 'There is no better feeling in the world than a warm box-- full of delish food on your lap... '.

"Well I don't have anything special to discuss but yeah I wanna ask something". She said solemnly.

"hmm.. Ask" I said looking at her.

"Well" she cleared her throat and continued "Uhm... Where you.... I mean.... staring... no looking.... umm... at....".

"You can simply ask me. It's not like I will eat you up. Although I know I'm a big gourmand". I insured her and she giggled at my lame joke.

"Yeah so speak now"

"Were you staring at Adrian" she finally said in a rush.

Woah! I knew it was coming. I'm such an idiot. And now I'm in a dilemma 'cause I can't lie. At least not to my best friend.

"Well... I guess... Yeah... I was stealing glances but I seriously dunno why the hell I'm doing this stupidly... It's like I can't control myself... I can't control my own eyes... They are seriously not under my control... It's like they wander here and there as if they are searching for someone who is probably Adrian... I guess.... I'm mad" I huffed.

I stabbed my fork into a piece of fried potato which was sprinkled with spices and then stuffed it inside my mouth. And then I continued " I know that I'm the one who was damn annoyed with him and strongly wanted to switch my seat and was ready to sit with literally anyone. And now when I got my seat changed.. I'm sitting far from him... He is sitting at the back and I'm sitting in middle of a a row which is beside his row. Its like we are sitting diagonally.... But I seriously dunno why I turn my head back to look at him after every few minutes... ". I uttered in an annoyed tone.

She just gave me a pathetic smile.

After pouring all my feelings out in words ; I was feeling relaxed. I guess now I can concentrate on my studies. I sat on my allotted seat and took my books out. My eyes were down looking at my english literature book and my mind was sucked up in a story which I was reading.

I realised a pair of eyes were looking at me. I raised my head. My dark brown eyes met his black ones. His hands were leaning on my table.

"Hey! I don't know how to start this". He said as he rubbed at back of his head.
"Well you really got your seat changed. I am not here to say this. Well.. WHY WERE YOU STARING AT ME? ". He said in a hesitated tone and looked away.

I stiffened. For a few seconds, my mind was blank and I looked at him like a dumbo.

" Why will I look at you?. Ohhh if you think I was looking at you then you got this wrong.... I was looking outside the window.... As you can see monsoon is here and this is my favorite season... . So I was simply enjoying the weather. And since your seat is near the window.... So...you might have misunderstood... So yeah... "I lied.

I lied. I lied to him.
