And just like that, his life turned like a plate. The glass wall he had used years to build, shattered into a million pieces, and everything just broke down.

"I don't want to live forever, Hongjoong, " he told the other man, who hadn't left the house since the huge accident he had started himself.

Hongjoong looked up at him from his place on the couch where he had his body curled together. He fluttered a bit with his eyes in confusion, when he noticed the others' appearance. A black tee, joggers, his bare feet in a pair of flippers, and his black hair dripping with water from the top of his head. His t-shirt was already soaked with wet stains scattered across his chest and shoulders, probably also his back.

Hongjoong gulped nervously when his fangs started growing in his mouth from the glance at the bare neck.

"You'll get the opportunity to experience a lot of things, why not?"

Seonghwa glanced at his hands when he sat down on the opposite side of the couch.

He sighed, "What do I tell Emma?"

"And what about my parents, and my brother? When he will grow old I won't ever change the slightest," Seonghwa continued as his head fell into his hands.

Hongjoong hummed quietly while he peered over at the other male, thinking his thoughts for himself. But Hongjoong didn't have the same feeling at all. For him had the worst adjusting been the different source of food, he still had accepted fully yet. Thoughts about his family weren't something that bothered him, as they never really were a part of his life anyway. But for Seonghwa, he knew it was different. The older one had always been one to wonder about his life by having a family included, where Hongjoong weighted more on his career.

"I don't know..." Hongjoong answered quietly, not to upset the older in any way.

The look in his eyes was gloomy in the way he stared out into nothing. Seonghwa's arms were holding his downhearted falling head in his hands, as the man sat leaned over his legs. Hongjoong wanted to do something for him. The guilt that swelled in his heart grew for every second he saw Seonghwa's downcasted figure and any act that counted on making up for his mistakes was carefully gone through his thoughts. Anything counted, bringing a towel to dry his hair or make the smallest smile play on his lips could do. But, Hongjoong wasn't capable of doing so, he just couldn't lay a hand on him again. Ever since the day he noticed, had he been making space between them - he wanted to keep a safe distance in case he would deface everything they had back.

Mingi had left blood supplies that should keep them sane for a good time. Surprisingly for Hongjoong, had Seonghwa accepted the blood easier, than he ever would have imagined. By only popping the lid off the container, Seonghwa had torn it out of his hand before gulping the liquid down, thirsty for more. Hongjoong let him drink whatever he wanted, wanting to have him satisfied rather than uncontrollably roaming the city for killing.

While opening for his own ration, Hongjoong had been staring at Seonghwa, as he had been throwing his head back in order to drink the blood. The veins had been popping along his neck, making the scent of the other more clear and blending with the stench from the blood supplies that were opened. The poke from his fangs made Hongjoong realize that even though Seonghwa was a vampire now, he still craved his blood.

Vampires were not meant to be attracted by each other's blood.

_____

One and a half weeks after the incident, Seonghwa decided he had to go to work in order to keep his job. He was more than surprised that his boss actually had allowed him that many sick-days without questioning further about his health. Hongjoong had been pleading him to stay home because he was afraid that he wasn't ready to go out yet, but Seonghwa insisted that he was able to control himself. He never convinced the younger and was left to sneak out early one morning, without the other noticing.

Seonghwa arrived at his workplace a half-hour before everyone else would step in, but it didn't matter anyway, because his ID allowed him to get into the huge building anyway. As predicted, the parking lot was almost empty for cars, when he parked relatively close to the building and turned down for his vehicle. Before getting out of his car, he took a moment to let his mind into the right state all while he let his senses direct on himself and how his newly half-adjusted body felt at this moment. He felt calm. Nothing was there to worry about.

The man stood out and closed the car-door before locking it up and proceeding to the building. It was early, and the only light seen was coming from the lamps that were glowing from the building itself. Looking up, almost every window was darkened, revealing that not many people were here at this time. Seonghwa opened the front doors and let himself in. A deep inhalation hit him when the strong smell of blood hit him, but instead of stopping, he continued through the arrival entry and up the stairs, greeting when bypassing a man who sat by the information counter.

This was going smoothly.

He entered department Z and laid down all his things by his table, which looked like it hadn't been touched the slightest since the last time he had been here. Interesting. Seonghwa knew that the difficult part wouldn't be meeting people with pulsing blood vessels, but the fact that he was supposed to work with blood. And he was right. When Seonghwa had retrieved a blood sample from 'the source of life', he felt the pricks in his mouth, and his eyes moving by every single movement of the food in front of him. It was to tell his eyes were already showing red beneath the brown contact lenses he had forced on himself before getting here. He just had to get through this day... and the day after this... and eventually weeks after this, until his body finally would relax by the sight of blood. A hunger was slowly setting in his system, and Seonghwa started doubting that he would survive this day without doing something stupid.

A not long time after this, the rest of the team arrived, Geonhak being the first to greet Seonghwa politely before Eunha broke in right after, hyped to see the absent man again. That went fine, Seonghwa was glad he had the lenses on, though. Hell first broke out when Jongho and Lara entered the room.

Their eyes dilated immediately over at Seonghwa in the almost exact same way. And there were no greetings to be seen there. By feeling all the anxiety mixed with the strong dominating scent coming from the pair, made something snap inside of Seonghwa that he hadn't any control of. He felt threatened by them, and the first thing his instincts told him to do, was attacking them. He ran forward, clashing with the first one that decided to do the same.

Though Seonghwa had become stronger than before, the one who grabbed him was stronger, and he flew sideways into the glass wall with a loud shatter, that would have been painful for a human to endure. His head became a little dizzy before he tried to stand up again, but another was faster than him.

"Are you completely out of your mind!?" Jongho growled at him while he fastened his grip around Seonghwa's throat.

The newly turned vampire hissed at him, as venom dripped over his chin. A gasp was heard through the room, but Seonghwa only bared his teeth even more. Jongho hid hard on the head with a fist.

"SNAP OUT OF IT!"

Jongho closed in on Seonghwa and quickly pushed him around so he landed on his stomach, facing the shattered glass wall. With all his will, he was writhing around in Jongho's hold as he kicked around with his limbs everywhere.

"Let. Go. Of me!" Seonghwa roared with a wave of deep anger coming deep down from his throat.

But Jongho ignored him, instead clenching further around the other's throat. The room was in a state of panic. Slowly, Lara walked over to the almost wrestling pair, tapping lightly on Jongho's shoulder in an attempt to get his attention. By that only movement, he let her closer, moving a bit to the side, but still sitting on top of the other male. No one knew what she whispered into his ear, but whatever it was, it helped him calm down a bit.

"How long have you been like this, Seonghwa," Jongho asked with an annoyed sigh, he slowly loosened his hands around him.

Seonghwa turned around with a flash, a scowl placed all over his face when he dried the black liquid off his chin with his white-dress sleeve that already had been stained with blood and venom. His backhead was bleeding.

"A week," he answered for short, not tearing his eyes away from Jongho the smallest.

Then a shocking voice broke the loud silence, "Wha-what is happening?! What is THIS??"

Lara pinched her nose, already getting tired of this situation. While the two vampires had been handling Seonghwa, the two remaining coworkers had been staring at them from the furthest end of the room with fear. They didn't know anything about this.

"Don't worry dear, this is nothing you have to worry about," the boss played it off with a little smile.

The blonde man shook his head in denial, "No, we have the right to know what is going on."

Geonhak took a step forward to state what he just said. He wanted an explanation.

Seating on top of a table, Lara crossed her leg and folded her hands, looking up at the humans with the look of a predator in her eyes.

"Well, apparently three of us here are vampires, we live by feeding off blood. And that is why we are making all these studies of blood," she said, observing their reactions to the topic.

Eunha was looking troubled, with her eyes wide and stumbling breath that didn't seem to calm down the slightest after the reveal.

"So you... Mr. Choi-"

"And Mr. Park."

_____

Seonghwa was what you could call sour the rest of the day - only because he knew he had done something stupid, that shouldn't have happened, and almost got himself kicked out of his workplace. Never had he imagined both Lara and Jongho to be the same disgusting monster that he had become, and he wasn't either sure if he was happy about that. Yes, Jongho might have helped him through that day, but on the other side was Seonghwa sure that he would have made it by himself too.

Perhaps, that was what he wanted to prove, by walking completely alone down the illuminated streets of Seoul as he sniffed the scented air. It was crazy how many more smells he could define with his new fragile senses.

Then one particular scent made him stop and turn around. He had met that person before, who slowly approached him. The man stopped in front of him, way taller than himself, and a way too innocent smile plastered on his face.

"Hello, Park Seonghwa," he greeted, bowing nicely in front of him.

The vampire submitted a hiss, by doing the exact same act.

"What brings you here?" the tall man asked nicely with a raised brow.

Don't do it. People were annoying today, Seonghwa thought and tugged his coat in closer to his not particular freezing body.

"Nothing, really. I'm just out on a stroll, and you, Mr. Jeong."

He was clenching his jaws tight together, how dare he ask him about this?

The other male, squinted his eyes when he looked over at Seonghwa again, "Something has changed about you, excuse me, are you okay? You look a bit uncomfortable."

Seonghwa didn't move from his spot when Yunho took another step forward. Fighting wasn't an option, because Seonghwa already knew that he had lost to the demon inside of him before even trying. He could only stay still and wait.

"Can I help you with something?"

The vampire wanted to flinch away, but instead, his teeth made their appearance, and the tea was spilled. Yunho stopped in his track when he realized what exactly had changed.

"Yo-you-"

"Stay away."

Yunho jumped in place when an unknown voice told him to move away. He flew a few steps backward and reached a hand out to point at Seonghwa.

"You're one of them, aren't you!"

Mingi went closer to the human, "I said stay away. Don't ever mention this or there will be critical consequences. I will find you."

Yunho gulped. He glanced over at both of them and hurriedly nodded before scurrying away fast.

Mingi turned around to face Seonghwa who glared at him, "Go home before you attack anyone. You should be lucky I had the feeling that you wouldn't just listen to the things we told you to do."

Yes, people were just annoying that day.
