8. Nothing Can Ruin This
And after 9001 years, Author-Chan finally decided to post yet another part that isn't the ending and ends in yet another cliffhanger sorrynotsorry
But yeah. Sorry this took so long to write because I had no idea where the hell I was really going with this! But I thought of something while lying in bed at 4:00 in the morning. I hope you enjoy, I made it a little longer (or at least I hope it is) to make up for being lazy!
I also didn't check this over properly but I'll try to after its posted!

(F/N)'s face went bright red and she instinctively pulled away and leant her head back against the propped up pillows as Mathias burst into the room. He seemed oblivious to just what he'd interrupted and as (F/N) glanced at Lukas's face, she could see nothing but pure annoyance on his features. He remained still as the excitable Dane made his way up to the hospital bed but his eye twitched when he suddenly leant forward to greet (F/N).
"Hey you're awake (F/N)!" He patted her head and ruffled her hair; (F/N) still felt her shoulders jitter in surprise even after living in the same house as the man for a while. "We were all worried about you! Especially Lu-" As expected, he was jerked back by his own tie and lost his breath as the tie was pulled tighter by Lukas behind him.
"You're too close idiot." The words were laced with venom and the gaze Lukas was sending Mathias was deadly. (F/N) smiled nervously and shook her hands in the air.
"I-It's fine! He was j-just worried." She stuttered catching the attention of the two of them. Lukas's face softened and he let his friend's tie go and sat back down, ignoring the pants from Mathias.
"You're too nice (F/N).." He sighed with the faintest hint of a smile. (F/N) smiled back and it was like she'd forgotten about everything that had happened.
"Oooohh?" Mathias whistled and gazed between the two other people in the room; if the smirk on the face was any indication, he was about to say something embarrassing or stupid. "I've never seen him smile so easily like that before."
"Don't say anything else." Lukas warned him with a stern look, his smile fading.
"(F/N), you must really be something!" He carried on regardless.
"Shut up."
"You can get Lukas to smile like that." He wiggled his eyebrows. "He must be in loovvee-"
"Don't say another word, I will choke you again." (F/N) giggled as Lukas defensively shot back the sentence at his friend. Although, was it really that? Would they have really of kissed if they weren't interrupted. Her heart sped up at just the thought and it was strange how they were simply pretending it never happened. (F/N) felt her cheeks going even more red as the conversation in the room faded into just voices to her. Did she want it to be uninterrupted? Did that mean...? She brought her hands to her crimson cheeks.
What else could it be but love?
"(F/N), are you okay?" She suddenly looked up to meet Lukas's concerned gaze and she felt her face grow one thousand times hotter. She shook her head and set her hands back in her lap.
"I-I'm fine!" Suddenly her stomach rumbled loudly and she dipped her head down, letting out an embarrassed squeak.
"Someone's hungry!" Mathias laughed.
"Do you want me to get you some food?" Lukas asked her and she nervously nodded.
"Can I come with you?" She asked, her habits of following him around like a little chick coming back and she hoped she wasn't being annoying.
"You should rest here, I'll just go get it myself." Lukas replied but (F/N) nervously shook her head again.
"Please, I won't slow you down, I just..." She looked down at her hands and nervously twiddled her fingers. "I just want to go with you..." The room fell into silence, though it was quickly broken again.
"Why don't I get the food!" Mathias suggested only to be replied with two straight 'no's.' When he asked why, Lukas simply said he didn't trust him not to bring a whole buffet back up with him. He turned his attention back to the timid girl sat next to him.
"Are you sure you feel well enough to walk, you haven't tried yet." He asked. (F/N) nodded and lightly threw the covers off her, swinging her legs over the side of the bed she slowly stood to her feet. Her side ached were she was cut and her legs felt slightly weak, but she could handle it.
"I'm fine, see?" She smiled and tried to convince Lukas to not be so skeptical. After (F/N) had stood up long enough without collapsing back down into bed, Lukas let out a sigh.
"If you're sure."
"Yep!" (F/N) nodded enthusiastically and grabbed a dressing down hanging off one of the hooks to keep her warm. She and Lukas set out, Mathias following close behind not wanting to be left out of the food trip. (F/N) was happy even though it shouldn't have been such a big deal. As the two of them made their way down in the lift.
"Urm, by the way.." (F/N) began with a hint of trepidation. "What happens to my brother?" She was almost afraid to ask.
"Don't worry he didn't get away!" Mathias said enthusiastically. "I found him while Lukas went with you to the hospital and hit him over the head with my axe." He grinned almost proudly which didn't match the horrified expression on (F/N)'s face. Lukas quickly corrected the story.
"He hit him but he didn't kill him, just knocked him out. We told them who he was but he was still taken here since he was injured too." Lukas explained, his voice turning bitter at the last part. Honestly he wished he could kill him, and if it wasn't the modern day, he just might've done.
"O-Oh.. Thank you both." (F/N) dipped her head in a slight bow but just felt a hand rest itself on her head and stroke her (H/C) hair softly. She looked up to meet Lukas's kind blue eyes.
"We did it because we care about you, no need to thank us." The lift's door opened and Lukas moved his hand off (F/N)'s head to hold her hand tightly. "Keep close." He simply said and although (F/N) felt her cheeks go red, she obliged and kept close behind him with his warm hand wrapped around her's.
"Y'know I think I'm the third wheel here.." She heard Mathias mutter as they made their way through the hospitals bottom floor. There were many people crowded around the café and the shops. The hospital echoed with different voice from children to adults to elderly people. A lot of them donned the same mint green clothes and gown as (F/N). Others wore their normal clothes like her two friends with her; they were the visitors. She smiled. Happiness blossomed in her chest just thinking about the fact she had visitors. She recalled other times she'd visited the hospital after particularly bad nights were her mother and brother had no choice but to take her to the hospital. She'd get no visitors and the smiles of the nurses were all fake, unlike the smiles she received from Lukas and Mathias, which were more real than she could ever dream for. She was sure nothing could ruin this moment.
On the way and during their time waiting for some food, small talk was passed around. Everyone back home had visited her while she was out, but they had to go home to deal with business that wasn't quite explained. Even if it was a it vague, (F/N) was happy they were worried and came to visit, even if she hadn't been the best of people to deal with. She was nothing but trouble and they treated her like her family. It was her home too now.. (F/N) was definitely sure nothing could ruin this moment of happiness now. But of course...
"(F/N)?"
She spoke to soon.

Who do you think it is? Guess!
I'll try to post again soon, but no promises since the Free! Fandom just dragged me back with its OTP's and with no warning and I don't know what life is anymore. I'll still wrote Hetalia though, so don't worry.
Bye then!
