Prologue:

It is said that a great power lies in the North; powerful enough to cheat even death. Their warriors are fierce fighters, able to defeat even the most deadly of foes.  The gifts of these Northern people are fabled, but over time they have faded to remain as only that; legend.

Few that live today remember the truth, for no one has seen them for thousands of years.  Many desperate and foolish folk have gone searching for this fabled race, but the North is a harsh landscape that few can survive. No one has succeeded in finding the magnificent Northern Kingdom.

That is, no one has succeeded until now.
