Chapter 4
North's PoV
North landed perfectly, electric energy building up in his throat. He immediately looked up, expecting to see Nimbus far above him. No. He thought as a big shadow was diving towards him at an unnatural pace.
Pain flooded his senses as Nimbus landed on him, digging his talons into North's back, and pinning him to the ground. "Do you yield?" He asked, taunting. "I-" North only managed to say as much before Nimbus talon came slamming on his head, knocking him out.
Only one thing clung to North's mind as darkness began taking over his sight.
I lost.

North woke up in a tight space, his tail pressing against his belly, and his head pressing against a stone wall, as if he was in his egg again. Where am I?
He started pushing the wall with his tail, and soon enough, he began to see light coming through the cracks. Then, he managed to create a hole just big enough for him to fit through, and got out of the tiny cell. As he turned around, he felt as if he had just swallowed a scorpion. That "eggshell" he broke was his locker.
"Did you enjoy your new room, North?" a teasing voice said behind him. North breathed in and out, trying to calm down, and to do the opposite of what he had done last time he saw Sleet. A wave of anger filled North as he turned around to face the annoying face of none other than Sleet. He wanted to make Sleet regret everything he said to him, but his body just refused to act, still paralyzed from the fact that he just broke out of his locker. "Answer!" Sleet shouted, quickly reaching for North's throat "Did. You. Like. Your. New. Room?" he dug his talon into North's neck, sending jolts of pain and fear down his spine.
North used his own talons and pushed Sleet as hard as he could, sending him a few feet backwards. "Don't even try, Sleet. We both know you lost the battle before it even started. Just leave me alone." North stepped forwards, making Sleet step back a little, and opened his wings, showing the blue snakes "oh, I will. but not before we'll find you a new locker..." Sleet smiled, his eyes gleaming with ruthlessness.
North laughed, moving his tail as if the thing he was about to do was casual. Look confident. He commended himself. "Don't even try, Sleet. You probably don't want me to knock you out again." He stopped, then tilted his head sideways, as if thinking about something. "Or... maybe you do want a second round..." North inhaled dramatically, charging lightning at the back of his throat.
The fear in Sleet's eyes could not be masked that easily. "Oh, well then-" Sleet started, his tone absolutely terrified and daring at the same time, causing North to anticipate a taunting comment, but Sleet just... stopped. North followed Sleet's gaze to the white and blue dragon that stood behind him, her eyes gleaming with a dangerous mix of amusement and anger. Rainy.
"Sleet, what in the name of storms are you doing? Did you just destroy North's locker?" Rainy asked, her tone shifting with every word.
North smiled. If Sleet is Nimbus's favorite student, then I am Rainy's.
"I-" Sleet started, but was quickly interrupted by Rainy. "Don't you even start! You broke his locker, which is, in case you didn't notice, a property of the school. What do you have to say about THAT." She inhaled, preparing to open her mouth for another strike. "No no no no no- don't. Speak. Just go to class." Rainy was yelling now, her voice echoing around the hall. Seems like Rainy did it again. North thought as he watched Sleet leave the room, his head lowered. Maybe the rest of the day will be good. North smiled.

History class was tolerable, surprisingly. North went down the hall, and suddenly remembered why he was so worried just a few hours ago. 'You will have 4 pop quizzes today...' his teacher's voice rang in North's ear, pushing his heart to beat harder.
A meteorology quiz... I am not going to get through that one.
As North entered the class, he saw clear evidence to support his hypothesis. The tables were equally spaced, with a piece of scrap paper on each one. More than that, he saw his history teacher at the front of the class. Sunlight. She was a DayWing who could sense emotions, so she was necessary to keep the tests fair.
Curled up in his seat, North went over all the things he might want to remember during the test. Cold fronts... Cumulus, Nimbus, Stratus...
A silver dragon got into the class, and the students went silent. "Good morning class, today we will have a pop quiz, sponsored by North." Nimbus said, his cold eyes locked on the Storm Warrior.
The tension in the air was thick, almost visible, the kind one can cut with a knife. "Put your notebooks on the table" Nimbus commended, the harshness of his tone stabbing into North's heart. I have to get out of this class. Quickly.
His eyes looked in every direction, looking for a joke, something that would piss Nimbus off... The notebooks.
North grabbed all of his notebooks, and placed them on the table in front of him, his smile brighter than the sun. Please work...
The ticks in his teacher's jaw were the only sound in the room, as Nimbus's cold gaze locked on the pile of notebooks that sat on North's table. "Get. Out." Nimbus said quietly, the hatred in his tone loud and clear. "Yes sir. I'll do so immediately" North responded, holding back the smile that threatened to appear.
Feels like a victory. North thought as he got out of the class.
As he looked up, he saw a bronze dragon hiding in the shadows, waiting. A MetalWing. What do I do?
The dragon landed swiftly, his tail curling around a pole nearby. The smile on his face was everything but comforting as he approached the Storm Warrior.
"Hello, North"
(1031 words! My longest so far)
