Chapter 2

"North!" someone barked at him from behind "Why does it always seem like you think we all are nothing compared to you?" North spun around and faced the speaker. "Oh, so now you pay attention to me..." said the silver dragon "Do you know what time it is?" He yelled.

North knew what time it was. He knew.

It was torture time.

"Yes, sir" North raised his voice a little, to show his teacher that he is not afraid of him. This is what I tell myself, at least. He shivered. "Then why don't you come and join us, the 'common dragons'" His teacher taunted him. North saw some of his classmates giggle. Jerks. I'm way better than them. Well then, let's show them how it's done, He decided.

"Oh. hmm. I think... I think I will join y'all, but only once your teacher says the magic word." North declared. 1-1.

The teacher sighed dramatically "I guess North is right. I have to say the magic word, or maybe even the magic sentence... Ok, there you go: 'you will have 4 pop quizzes today.' Now go to class." He smiled Wickedly.

North's classmates growled, but they silently obeyed. In a few seconds, North realized that he was the only student left in the cave. "Don't you have somewhere to go?" His teacher asked.

"Yes." North replied. "Yes, Mister Nimbus."

North left the cave, still sensing his teacher's eyes piercing through him. He's so creepy. Why does he always pick up on me? Probably because I'm a Storm Warrior, and he's just a Wind Warrior.

As he got closer to the locker room, he noticed that his classmates were staring at him, most likely waiting for him to get closer so they could yell at him. He was right. When he started reaching for his locker, a talon yanked him backwards. That talon belonged to Sleet, the only Ice Warrior in the class.

"Thank you for those tests" he whispered in North's ear, his cold breath sending shivers down his spine "I have never been happier. You know what, if you're in the mood of helping, then why don't you MOVE YOUR ASS OUT OF HERE!" Sleet threw North to the floor, and then shot cold fog on his face. North felt all his nerves tense, carrying the electrical charge through his body and into his throat. Only a little part of him actually enjoyed the horror in Sleet's eyes as light blue snakes charged at his face, and then as those snakes engulfed Sleet with flames of death.

Sleet was knocked out, and North raised his head, expecting to see his classmates wide eyed with horror. He was right again. A quiet sob came from the back of the room, and North felt as if someone stabbed him when Hurricane came forward, opened and closed her mouth a few times, and finally, bursted into tears, murmuring something. "Sleet..." she managed to pronounce his name between her sobs "I- I loved him-"

Die. I hate you. North forced himself not to shout those words out loud. "You- you know what? I don't need you. Not at all. I- I'll just- um, go away." North shouted over his breath, shivering.

He then raised his head, and shot lightning on the floor, leaving a black scorch mark on the floor, and left the room.

North walked down the hall, trying to recall what his first class was. His 5 minutes of break were long gone, and if he wouldn't pick up the pace, then surely he would be late to class.

Then, suddenly, it came to him. Battle training! North loved battle training. The teacher, Rainy, was a young and cheerful Ice Warrior, and practically one of North's best friends.

As he entered the Battle cave, his heart dropped to the floor. Instead of nice Rainy, there was a grumpy Nimbus standing in the middle of the cave, scanning the area with his cold jade eyes. North didn't realize words came out of his mouth before it was too late. "But Rainy- you-" "I am your battle teacher for today. Respect that, North." Nimbus literally spat the word "North", as if it was some kind of curse. North chose to ignore that fact.

"Line up everybody!" Nimbus barked at the scattered group of students "we are going to do something special today, so listen up!" All the dragons in the room suddenly went silent, their eyes fixed on Nimbus. "Ok... Good..." Nimbus muttered "Well then, I am going to choose one of y'all to fight against me in a face to face battle. If I win, then one of you is getting humiliated, and all the others are not getting their lunch. If I lose, then I'll cancel the pop quizzes I have given you. Get it?" He barked.

The sound of grumpy murmurs came from the group of dragonets. "GET IT?" Nimbus was yelling now, his voice as clear as a lightning. The dragonets just nodded. "Hmm" Nimbus shook his head "who should I choose..." By how Nimbus' gaze was fixed on him, North knew that Nimbus had already chosen a rival. And unsurprisingly, North was 100% sure it was him.

"North!" Nimbus smiled "come here. Fight me!"

(That was 876 words! Longer than the last one, ig I had more inspiration this week)
