Bio: Ushio is a refugee who fled Japan at the age of 2 after her parents managed to escape the Confederate occupation and stayed in China for the time being. For three years, she lived in a secret humanitarian housing where she would live a relatively normal life with other Japanese refugees who fled their home country from the Confederates. While there, she would also befriend a teenage girl named Jia-Fa Mulan who would essentially be her best friend and big sister figure. However, her peaceful life was ruined when the Confederates invaded China and mercilessly killed anyone in sight, including the refugees who fled for safety. What's worse was that she witnessed her family die in a bombing raid, thus her family was blown to bits, and she was forced to be an orphan.

Crying and screaming in terror, Ushio thought this was the end for her, especially when she witnessed a rampaging mobile suit was about to kill her. However, she was saved by John in his TSF and after rescuing her, she wanted to stay with him, mainly due to the trauma she suffered and how she felt he was the only emotional support she could go to. Time passes and Ushio would see John as like an older brother figure. Despite his cold, blunt, and emotionless attitude, John did all he could to comfort her while also making sure she's mentally prepared at dealing with the real world. The two would forge a bond and for the longest time since they lost their families, neither would ever feel alone ever again.
