Background: Richard grew up with a humble and loving family, thus allowing him to have a normal childhood. His parents taught him the morality of right and wrong, teaching him to be a humble and kind person. Thus, Richard never grew up but prejudice or racist views against other humans with a different skin color. As he grew from being a teenager to an adult, Richard was seen as a celebrity due to him being the direct blood descendant of the legendary Robert E. Lee himself. However, he never let the flame cloud his judgment as he still remained both humble and compassionate towards others, allowing him to win many friends and admirers.
It was only when he joined the military that it was finally his time to shine. Like his ancestor, Richard was a prodigy in displaying leadership skills and coordinate effectively with others which often leads to victories in simulations. Eventually, he was chosen to become a part of Project: SUPERIOR where he would become a Patriot-Class Supersoldier, making him a deadlier and more dangerous individual. From there, he would lead a team called Valiant Squad with his best friend Tobias 'Stonewall' Jackson and they would work together to deal with the terrorist organization known as the Washington Rebellion.
But then everything changed when the Confederacy had declared war against the UGA and soon his eyes were opened when he witnessed the atrocities being committed by his fellow countrymen. Richard was exposed to evil acts such as slavery, racism, and genocides being committed by his own people. Needless to say, this had left him with doubt and became disillusioned seeing the true face of what America had become. When he was allowed a leave, Richard confronted his parents, demanding an explanation of the things he's witnessed, and his parents told him to truth about the true face of the Confederacy.
Richard was horrified that the country he faithfully served had become nothing short of a monster. When asked why he still served them, his parents said they didn't have a choice and because if they allowed their enemies to win, it would mean the murder to their entire family. Eventually, despite his doubts and questions against the Confederacy, Richard was connived to stay loyal to the cause in an effort to protect his family. He hated what he was forced to do and witnessed many more atrocities, but Richard was determined to protect his family, even at the cost of the suffering of others.
However, everything changed when the Confederacy foolishly invaded another world and now Richard's country was forced to face the consequences of their actions. He was horrified to learn that the Earth they invaded was a world where the Union was victorious in the American Civil War, and they now had the technology necessary to rival the Confederate military. This will prove to be Richard's deadliest challenge yet as he, Valiant Squad, and the Confederacy are now forced to fight a war against an enemy they thought they finally destroyed in the aftermath of WW2.
Worst of all, Richard will be tested when he faces his greatest enemy and soon to be rival named John S. Grant, a teenager who is the direct blood descendant of Ulysses S. Grant.
Personality: He's depicted as a model Soldier and given his family legacy; he's seen as an inspiration that many Confederate Soldiers strive to become. Richard was also known for being a kind and caring leader, willing to do what's necessary to keep them safe while also trying to lead them to victory with as few casualties as possible. Furthermore, despite being a soldier of the Confederacy, Richard isn't racist, nor he wasn't considered a white supremacist. He had no discriminate or prejudice ideals against non-whites, including Black Africans. Truthfully, Richard hated and is disgusted at how most of his fellow Americans were racist monsters while believed in genocide and ethnic purging so they can have their 'white and pure world'. Due to his family upbringing, he was horrified to see what America had become and that it was no longer the nation the Founding Father's fought so hard to create.
Of course, he wisely kept that personality from his fellow Confederates except for a select few. The man knows of the consequences that'll happen to both him and his family if he ever showed sympathy to non-whites, especially those of African descent. Yet over time and after witnessing the atrocities the Confederacy had committed over the years, the man had started to become disillusioned, questioning his morality and loyalties to his home country as he realizes that he was truly in the wrong while participating in world domination. The only reason he still continues to stay loyal and serve the Confederate military is because he still wishes to protect his family. Despite being disgusted by the concepts of slavery and racism, he still feels the need to stay loyal to his people in order keep those he cherishes safe.
Richard is a man wracked with guilt for the war crimes his done and the mindless slaughter he allowed to happen, yet he still believed that deep down he had the power to change the Confederacy for the better. Of course, he now had to put those feelings aside to the return of the Union and how he has to deal with his most dangerous opponent he's ever face which is a teenage boy name John S. Grant.
