this is how i make my covers (( finally the secret is revealed ))

since a LOT of you have been asking me how i do them, i decided to finally tell you

step i

choose a picture that you want for your cover

example :

crop your picture to the size that wattpad approves of

the ratio should be 1:6 ; initially 256x400 pixels

i just use wattpad covers (( an app you can find on app store or google playstore )) to crop my pictures so i get the exact size

step iii

add white borders to the picture and crop it to a square (( this is optional ))

i use an app called squarefx (( free & available on app store or google playstore ))

i do all the editing in this app called phonto
you can get it for free in the app store or google playstore

if you want the white box thingy that's on all my covers

go to options>add items>choose the border

then you a box will appear on top of your picture like this :

click on the white box thingy and options will appear through which you can set the stroke, colour, size etc.

now that you have your white border thing, you can go in and add in your text

now the great thing about phonto is that it gives you a variety of fonts

to add text to your picture just click the picture and "add text" will appear

click on that and select your font

then press done and your text will appear

adjust it to wherever you want it to be and if you click the text, multiple options will appear so you can choose the colour, size, set the alpha etc.

repeat the steps to add in your name/username or any other extra detail

example :

click on the button in the far right corner to save your cover

and you are done !! you have your cover now so simply upload it to your story and yeah
