after my 16 years of experience i have figured that as soon as you're idle and have nothing to do, your mind acts like a stupid bitch and forces you to be as negative and pessimistic as you can be

so the first step leading to a positive thinking would be to keep yourself busy with something, anything, and just try and stop your brain from telling you that things will go wrong

do things you like in your free time, watch a movie, stay away from other negative people who trigger your existence

okay so i was at that stage where i was too polite to let go of people who i didn't actually want in my life

so the first thing i'd suggest you to do is stop calling them your best friend and let them know you don't feel that way

see the problem here could be that you're just super lazy or that you have overworked yourself or that you haven't written in a long time

so in case 1 , when you're lazy , just don't force yourself to write anything bc it will definitely come out crappy

just try and write small paragraphs or even a line whenever you feel like writing just the tiniest bit

in case 2, when you've overworked yourself , take a freaking break because you deserve and need it

don't call it a writer's block, because it's not. it's just you being utterly ambitious and if you continue forcing yourself, you may lose interest in writing so take a break and return to writing after a week of zero stress

in case 3, try writing descriptions if you're just returning to writing after a long time

describe the smallest of things, in as much detail as you can. that could be a simple buzzing noise, or the way you feel when you sneeze, anything you can think of

it will help you expand your mind and get used to writing again

you could also read some of your old works for reference, just to remember how you used to write

and the most important part,

stop panicking.

the world isn't going to end if you don't write for a month or two, and kick out the fear of people not reading your stuff anymore. the people who see the talent and hardwork behind all that you write will stick with you no matter how long of a break you take.
