Midnight:"Alright ladies and gentlemen! Here are the sixteen contestants!"

The screen showed the following students:

Midnight:"Now, let's see who is going against one another!"

A holographic screen displayed a bracket and the names in order. It then shuffled the names and stopped five seconds after. Damien was going to be the first match in the first round against Lee. (Y/n) was the last match with Bakugo as his opponent.

Midnight:"You all may change into your combat gear and costumes if you'd like."

They all nodded and walked off.

30 Minutes Later

The first match was starting as the first year students sat in their own stands close to the waiting rooms. Joan, Ruby, Izuki and (Y/n) sat by each other. The match between Lee and Damien was about to start.

Lee came out with his gear on and Damien wore black combat boots, gray camouflage pants, a white shirt with a gray tail coat on top.

Midnight raised her arm and then brought it down.

Midnight:"Begin!"

Lee jumped all over the arena and dashed at Damien. He went in for a kick but he blocked it with his forearm and threw Lee off. Lee flipped away and tried to punch him. Damien dodged and punched Lee in the stomach. It launched him back but Lee reacted quickly before he was thrown out the ring.

Lee:"You're good! But Guy-sensei taught me well!"

He threw kunais at him but Johnny used magic infused ki blasts to knock them away. He thrusted his palm and sent a magic wave at Lee that knocked him out the ring.

(Y/n) and Rias shared a concerned glance and went back to watching Damien.

Midnight:"A quick first match but they both fought well! Let's see who is up next! It's Ryuko versus Kiba!"

(Y/n) got up to get some food as the match was going underway. Ryuko had raw power thanks to her Kamui but Kiba had variety and used different swords to eventually overwhelm Ryuko and knock her out the ring.

The match after that was between Naruto and Nora. It was a game of cat and mouse as Nora used her hammer to crush his clones. He was running out of chakra and was knocked out with a solid hit to the head with her hammer.

Mic:"These matches are seemingly flying by! Next match is... oh ho! A battle between some brawlers! Yang Xiao Long versus Koneko Toujou!"

(Y/n): This ought to be interesting.

(Y/n) sat down with a tray of nachos and watched the match. Yang charged at Koneko and tried to land the first punch but Koneko pushed her fist aside and landed a kick to Yang's ribs. She rolled along the arena but got up and her hair flared a bit. She launched dust bullets at Koneko but she flipped away to dodge them.

Koneko ran to Yang and threw a punch but Yang tilted her head to the side and landed a devastating punch to Koneko right in the stomach.

She was launched back and landed near the edge of the arena. Koneko kicked herself up and frowned.

Yang:"Heh this is pretty fun Koneko. I'm really happy I've got you as my opponent."

Koneko:"Just glad to be away from that pervert."

Issei:"Hey!"

Yang just laughed and the two ran at each other and threw their punches. Their fists connected and it made part of the ground crack beneath them.

(Y/n) smiled lightly as he and his mentors would break the ground whenever their punches and kicks barely connected. Ruby saw his smile and smiled too and discreetly took a picture of him. Yang grabbed a hold of Koneko's hands and the two struggled. Koneko jumped off the ground and kicked Yang in the face to get her to let go. She stumbled back and growled. Her power level began to rise as Koneko dealt blow after blow to her.

Koneko jumped up and tried to kick her in the head but Yang caught her leg and punched her right in the abdomen. She managed to launch Koneko out the ring but Yang herself looked exhausted. Everyone in the crowd clapped and cheered for her.

Mic:"Alright everyone! We're going to have a brief intermission before the last four matches start! The next match will be Shouko versus Pyrrha!"

People began to pour out of their seats to go get some food and use the bathroom. Joan walked over to (Y/n) and blushed.

Joan:"Hey ummm (Y/n)..."

(Y/n):"Yeah Joan?"

Joan:"Would you like to play a few of the games with me?"

(Y/n):"I'll do you one better, I'll win some prizes for ya."

She went red and hugged him out of instinct. He laughed and rubbed her head. She felt safe hugging him and didn't want to let go.

Ruby:"You can let go of him now."

Joan:"O-oh! Sorry about that!"

(Y/n):"No harm no foul. Let's go."

She nodded and walked beside him to enjoy the festival.

Later

Joan and (Y/n) were putting her prizes in her dorm since (Y/n) won easily. The game with the milk bottles was especially easy, even when they were glued together. Joan had gotten a green stuffed dinosaur from a TV show.

Plus some inflatable toys. She also had a caricature done of her and (Y/n). They set her stuff on her bed and she looked at him.

Joan:"Thank you (Y/n). This was the first time I've ever spent time with a boy."

(Y/n):"Really?"

Joan:"Yeah... I was never really popular or pretty back at my old schools."

(Y/n):"Those guys missed out. You're a really cute and amazing girl. When I started training you, Izuki and Pyrrha, I knew you had potential. You've still yet to unlock your hidden potential but I will be the one to help you do it. I'll help you with anything."

Joan blushed and hugged him as tightly as she could. He hugged back as she softly cried tears of joy on his gi. They stayed like that for a few minutes then she let go. She dried her tears and smiled.

Joan:"I get really emotional."

(Y/n):"No need to worry about that. We better hurry though, the next match is gonna start."

He held her close and teleported to Kirishima who was in his seat eating popcorn.

Kirishima:"Whoa! You came out of nowhere! We gotta put a bell on you or something."

Kaminari laughed and (Y/n) chuckled to himself and slapped Kirishima's neck.

(Y/n):"Bite me."

They sat down and watched as Shouko and Pyrrha walked on stage.

The match began with Shouko using her ice to try and freeze Pyrrha. She rolled out of the way and shot fire dust bullets at her. She created a wall of ice to block the attack. Pyrrha ran around and tried to shoot her.

Shouko shot ice at the bullets and froze them in the air. Pyrrha threw her shield and made Shouko roll away. She used her semblance to bring the shield back to her and hit Shouko in the back of the head while doing so. She stumbled and Pyrrha took this chance to run up to Shouko and kicked her across the face. She stumbled back and shook her head.

She frowned and placed her hand on the ground and tried to freeze her in place. Pyrrha managed to jump up as Shouko covered the entire ring with ice. Pyrrha shot at Shouko from the air who was wide open. She fell over from the dust bullets and groaned in pain.

Pyrrha landed but slipped because of the icy floor. She dug her spear into the ice to use as support. Shouko got up and saw this. She acted quickly and managed to freeze Pyrrha in place. Pyrrha couldn't move any longer and frowned.

Joan:"Darn..."

Izuki:"She had Shouko on the ropes there for a minute."

(Y/n):"It was a battle between power and skill."

Shouko was declared the winner and she defrosted Pyrrha and the ring.

Mic:"What a display! That fight could've gone either way! Next up is, Rias versus Sasuke!"

Sakura:"Whoo! Go Sasuke!"

Ino:"Yeah! Get her good!"

Issei:"Rias you're the best!"

Mineta:"Show us the good stuff!"

(Y/n) looked back at the bracket and saw that after this was Izuki versus Akeno. He hoped Izuki would win because he wants to face her in the next round.

The match began with Sasuke shooting fireballs at Rias. She used magical barriers to block the attacks and tried blasting him with lighting. He dodged with ease and ran around her quickly. He drew his blade and dashed at her. She flipped over him and this gave some of the audience a panty shot. They went crazy as some girls were disgusted by the boys' behavior.

Rias, while still in the air, shot ice at Sasuke. Shards hit him in his back causing him to groan in pain. He grit his teeth and threw shurikens at her. She deflected them and landed on the ground. He went in and decided to use hand to hand combat. Rias did her best to block the attacks but Sasuke was too fast for her.

He landed a punch to her kidney and she gasped in pain. He kicked her in the chin and launched her into the air. He was getting ready to strike with his sword but Rias released a blast of magical energy at him. He blocked the attack with his sword but was being pushed back.

Rias managed to land safely on the ground but just barely near the edge. She poured more power into her attack until Sasuke was pushed out of the ring.

Mic:"RIAS WINS!"

Issei:"YEAAAAAAHHH! THAT'S MY PRESIDENT!"

Mineta:"HER MOVES WERE AMAZING!!"

Rias panted as Sasuke was a lot more than she was expecting. They walked off the field and soon it was time for Izuki and Akeno. (Y/n) walked up and went to the waiting room. He watched the match from there on a TV.

Akeno:"Ready?"

Izuki:"Yes!"

(Y/n) noticed that Izuki was wearing her normal gym uniform instead of her hero costume. He shrugged and watched as Akeno began to shoot lightning all over the ring. Izuki dodged as best as she could and she noticed how the blasts were making her get closer to the edge.

Izuki curled her finger and flicked it at Akeno. It caused a massive gust of wind to blow a blast of lightning towards her. It connected and Izuki ran towards the middle of the ring where she was.

Izuki:"SMAAAASSHHH!"

She threw her fist at Akeno who wasn't ready and was launched out the ring. (Y/n) was surprised to see the match had ended so quickly but was excited to face her after his match with Bakugo. He got up and changed into a new gi he got from back home.

Mic:"Alright everyone! It is time for the final match of the first round! We have Katsuki Bakugo versus (Y/n)! These two have been fan favorites in this competition and now we'll see how well they fare against each other!"

Joan, Izuki, Ruby and Asia were waiting patiently for (Y/n) to enter the ring. Bakugo was already there and he was wearing his hero costume.

Bakugo:"Come on (Y/n)! Everyone's waiting!"

Mic:"Looks like Bakugo is getting impatient! Nothing new."

Bakugo:"Hey!"

The audience laughed at this.

?:"I'm going. I'm going."

Everyone hushed as they waited for him to walk to the ring. (Y/n) ran and flipped onto the stage sporting a brand new gi.

Ruby:"That looks so cool!"

Izuki:"Incredible!"

Joan:"He's so hot..."

She blushed as she said this and the other girls did too as they weren't disagreeing with her.

Mic:"And it seems (Y/n) is sporting some brand new threads!"

(Y/n):"If you're gonna run, now's your chance."

Bakugo:"As if!"

Midnight:"Begin!"

Bakugo started off and propelled himself to (Y/n). He tried landing a blast on his face but (Y/n) slapped his hand away and pushed him. Bakugo landed on the ground but instead of getting up, moved his hands up and blasted (Y/n). He then rolled away and got back up. (Y/n) waved away the smoke and laughed.

Bakugo:"Damn it..."

(Y/n):"Gonna have to try harder than that."

Bakugo got irritated by (Y/n)'s mocking and launched himself one more time at him. He blasted (Y/n) point blank as much as he could then launched himself away. The floor (Y/n) was on was broken apart. Smoke was in the way but (Y/n) waved it away again.

(Y/n):"If I was anyone else, I'd be knocked out by now."

Bakugo:"You... cocky..."

He went to the edge and began to launch himself side to side and spin in a circle.

Bakugo:"Howitzer Impact!"

The attack was so large and powerful everyone actually thought that (Y/n) had lost. When the smoke cleared, they saw he was standing there with his gi barely singed. They didn't see Bakugo anywhere but someone then pointed at him outside the ring.

They saw he was knocked out and gasped.

Mic:"We have a winner!!"

Everyone cheered as (Y/n) stood there with his arms crossed.

Mic:"Somehow, after that attack, (Y/n) managed to knock Bakugo out!"

(Y/n) sighed in boredom but respected the effort Bakugo put in. He looked over and smiled softly. He then walked away.

Mic:"That concludes the first round! Join us tomorrow as we present the quarterfinals!"

That Evening

Some of the first years were gathered in the common room celebrating the winners.

Kiba:"So (Y/n), how exactly did you beat Bakugo?"

(Y/n):"Well, once I knew his attack ended, I grabbed his wrist, pulled him close and hit him in the back of the neck. He went limp and I tossed him out the ring. Simple as that."

He chuckled as everyone smiled and ate chips and drank some soda and juice. They were getting hyped for the next batch of fights.
